The Arkham Knight battle makes sense when you consider the context:
Scarecrow injected Batman with his serum when Bruce was in control. His greatest fear? Becoming the undoing of Gotham, and since he's slowly becoming The Joker, he doesn't just see himself becoming The Joker, he is overtaken by The Joker. However, since Scarecrow got impatient at how Batman wasn't scared, he injected Batman, controlled by The Joker, with another dose, which showed Joker his fear, which is being forgotten, and Bruce's consciousness was there to make that fear a reality.
In other words, Scarecrow's fear toxin weakened the consciousness which was in control, and allowed the other to take over.

No ones likes to dog *The Batman* , it's actually a very well liked show in the fandom. It just had the misfortune of airing between *Batman Beyond* and *Batman:TBATB* , who both had more of a lasting impact/legacy...
But really, aside from the character designs of Joker and Riddler (the 2 main criticisms), the "Matsudaverse" is very popular.

@@pakanu2005 - Aw, good man ^^ I might have misunderstood what you meant by "dog" , but from what I've witnessed, people who have actually watched the show (and the very good Dracula movie) tend to really like *"The Batman"* .
And indeed, Ethan Bennett was a really good original character, so him turning into the first Clayface was both unexpected and heart-breaking... Ellen Yin was also a quality character, it's too bad she stopped showing up after season 2 ended.
But it's true that fewer people have watched it compared to the shows it's sandwiched between, "Batman Beyond" & "the Brave and the Bold".
On the other hand, I don't know a lot of people who have both watched AND loved *Beware the Batman* , so good luck with that one ^^
I kinda enjoyed this show when I managed to get into it, and even wished we would have gotten a second season to see a full fledged Two-Face, but I wasn't crazy about it either.
Honestly when I got home from school and turned the TV on, expecting Batman:TBATB to start, and this new 3D show started, I was kinda bummed out.
I was a fan of Anarky in the comics, but the Mark Hamill version was very different, same for Professor Pyg, and my man Harvey Dent (one of my favorite characters) was acting kinda like a douche.

the interesting thing about the fight in Batman: Hush is that in the original comic, Joker doesn't fight back because he's _genuinely terrified_ for his life, not because of the whole "i want you to break your code" schtick

  • @SamM6599
    @SamM6599 Před rokem +1

The problem with your explanation of why Joker doesn't fight back against Batman in Batman: Hush is that Joker says he wants Batman to kill him, but for something he ACTUALLY did. Batman was going to kill him because he thought Joker killed his childhood friend, Thomas Elliot, but he didn't. Joker, for once in his life, was innocent. So, while he DOES want Batman to kill him so he breaks his biggest rule, he wants it to happen because of someone he actually did, not because of something he was framed for.

Oh for the love of --
It was *Grant Morrison* who came up with the interpretation of Batman killing the Joker at the end of The Killing Joke. Taking the title literally.
Alan Moore has always *intended it to be ambiguous.*
It's right there, right in the script itself in the absolute version of the graphic novel.

One thing I know, the Batman fight of the first movie at the end was a jjoke. They stood face to face and all the Joker could do was, you wouldnt hit a man with glasses on? I expected some kind of duel there but there wasnt.

The idea of Batman killing The Joker at the end of The Killing Joke is a modern myth. In Alan Moore's script there is no mention of it. It just says they are leaning against each other laughing helplessly. I'm surprised you didn't include their first fight from Batman issue one in 1940 where The Joker knocks Batman out or the fight from Joker's Five Way Revenge in Batman 251 in 1973 where The Joker again knocks Batman out with kicks and punches but holds back from killing him.
