- From the Hysteria album which was one of the longest running LP's to stay in the top ten when it was released in 1987. Selling over 25 million copies and 7 hit singles, I chose this track as one of my all time favorites. Playing to a drumless track, I built a kit that sounds similar to the huge electro-acoustic set that Rick Allen recorded on back then. All of the sounds came from the Roland TD-20X module.

So as I was driving home from work today, Animal from Hysteria came up on my playlist, and I was like, "This is a good tune for Mike to cover". Well, this is close enough. Awesome job as always.
Haha I guess you hit the nail on the head my friend. I recorded pour some sugar and Animal at the same time but was happy with the way this one came out the best.

Good times brother! It was the first time anyone played “in the round” and it got many of us closer to the stage than ever. I was blown away at all of his pedals and how he switched his feet from snare to kick to cymbal and even Toms! He’s got it figured out. God Bless Rick Allen

I drum every single day and always have since i stopped uploading vids. Truth is, if you see my drumheads you will cry, lol!! They are badly worn and torn, and in no state to be seen on any video. i just don't have the spare cash at this point, so it's about priorities i guess. I've been very busy painting for my exhibition late next year, so trying to produce at a good rate. I'm sure business will improve by December then first thing I'll do is renew my drumheads.
It'll be great to do upload some of new material, soon. be well Mike. Let's stay in touch.
Such an epic album. I remember this summer tour. Brendan Byrne Arena, East Rutherford NJ. The stage was round and in the center of the arena and spun like a record. Ahhh the 80's 😜

Hi Glen! Thanks for checking in. Yeah it’s been crazy at my Toyota shop. Since I’m in service and there are no new cars to buy, everyone is repairing what they have so I’ve been working 50+ hour weeks. I still play around once or twice a week but haven’t done much recording. I hope to change that after the Summer but now I’m enjoying the weather so been hanging outside mostly. Do you do Sales or Service w/LR?
