Intercepting rockets are much more expensive. Gaza firing cheap rockets with each worths hundreds of dollars . Intercepting rockets with each cost tens of thousands dollars . That’s the cost protecting civilians.
Given the sucess of the German Gpard-Tank in ucraine, militaries are getting interested in Anti-Air Guns again. Maybe in the Future Israel will invent some advanced Anti-Air tank, that can shoot them down with bullets. Also the Chinese Baloon crisis put the cost of homing missiles into the public mind.
That would be terrifying to hear Ana air raid siren start up and get a notification on your phone that says “red alert”
