Btw average lion and tigers are about the same size. That Siberian Tiger weighs 229.6 kg... his name is Alcyone.
The largest Lion ever weighed was MIKI(White Lion) and he was 240.5 kg. And MK was 233.5 kg at a very young age.

Amur tigers are often considered the largest of the tiger sub-species, although they are in fact about the same size as the Bengal tiger. An adult male usually reaches a body length of 2 meters, with his tail adding another meter. Average weight for males is 160-190 kg, while females are smaller, weighing in at 110-130 kg. Tigers(Bengal and Siberian) are on average slightly heavier and longer. Lions are taller at the shoulder and that mane makes them appear so much bigger than they really are. Tigers have a higher muscle density and lions have a higher bone density. Anatomically they're very similar. So on average, a fully grown African lion and a fully grown Bengal tiger would look very similar in size with the tiger being slightly heavier. The average Siberian tiger however, has a thicker coat and a layer of fat underneath to protect it from the severe cold of Siberia where temperatures drop to below -40°C. So it's extra weight is more of an adaptation for survival rather than a weapon. It is this adaptation that makes the Siberian tiger the biggest cat on Earth.

In captivity the Siberian tiger is the biggest cat. This does not mean some lions are bigger then some Siberian tigers. why the Siberian tiger is usually bigger in captivity? Where the tiger's forelimbs and hindquarters are of similar strength, the lion's muscles are generally focused at the forelimbs. This makes sense given their respective lifestyles, as well.

      @ghostzr7006 Před 2 lety +4

@@JoaoSilvio ok I'll prove how a lion can defeat a tiger in a 1v1 battle, listen carefully and you might actually learn something:
Asiatic lions (smaller than African lions) and tigers both occur in India. Although their ranges no longer overlap, they did once and therefore this was a very real scenario a long time ago.
I am going to specifically answer this in terms of one male tiger going up against one male lion.
Although female lions hunt as prides, male lions spend most of their lives alone. They are forced out of the pride when they reach around two years.
If they manage to take over a pride of their own they will usually only manage to keep it for a couple of years. During the time they have a pride they will spend most of their time fighting off potential usurpers.
When they do not have a pride they frequently fight with other solitary males that they bump into and of course pride males in their attempts to take control of a pride.
So, a male lion spends his life fighting. In fact they spend so much time fighting and not eating properly and stressed out that they only live to about ten years old while females usually live to about fifteen.
The reason a male lion has a mane is for defence in fighting. They fight like wrestlers, facing off, gripping each other and trying to overpower each other. I have watched them fighting many times and have come across two dead males over the years. Both had been bitten through the spine. From what I have read, this is pretty much the norm.
So, the mane is a pretty effective defence in a cat-fight. To get round it requires some serious dominance in the fight as it means out wrestling the opponent to the point of being able to bite them through the spine. Tigers do not have this defence. They do not have it because they rarely fight.
Tigers are solitary animals and although heavier than lions, they are shorter than lions at the shoulder. The weight difference is about 15% which is significant but not enough I believe to mean an overwhelming advantage for tiger, especially since they have a height disadvantage.
In terms of behaviour, male tigers usually solve their disputes via display and intimidation, preferring to avoid each other. One of them will usually roll onto its back and expose its belly in submission. Now in terms of fighting, this lack of experience when going up against a pro IS an overwhelming disadvantage.
This is like putting a heavy inexperienced amateur fighter in ring with a taller, leaner professional with a mean history of fights under his belt.
A no-brainer. A wild lion would win hands down because the wild lion has a lifetime experience of fighting other male lions. Size really isn't everything..
However, a tiger in a zoo will more likely kill a lion because if the tiger doesn't back down the inexperienced captive-bred lion is quite outclassed.. Still, although a lion is more likely to die in a fight it is also very likely that male tigers would submit if it got serious and the tiger realised it was dealing with a maniac who was willing to die to win..
Lions didn't get the title "King of the Jungle" for nothing.

    • @JoaoSilvio
      @JoaoSilvio Před 2 lety +4

@@ghostzr7006 Unlike many lion fanboys at least you have arguments that make sense.
Honestly I will have to agree with some of the things you mentioned, I'm going ahead, there is no king of the jungle or animals, this is just a metaphor.
Now read carefully that you too can learn something!
(I hope you can understand, I'm not fluent in English so some words might be wrong or out of place.)
Come on, you mentioned Lions in the wild, so let's also put Tigers in the wild in this 1v1 fight.
Let's use Bengal Tiger vs African Lion.
An adult male tiger weighs between 90 and 310 kilograms depending on the subspecies while females can have from 65 to 170 kilograms, we can say that the average weight is 250 kilograms. These cats usually live between 16 and 18 years in captivity, reaching speeds of up to 65 km/h. Males can measure between 2.5 to 3.9 meters in length with the tail.
The lion is an animal that weighs between 170 to 230 kilograms, males and females weigh 130 kilograms in adulthood. They can run at up to 80 km/h, beating tigers in terms of speed. Males measure between 2.5 to 3 meters in length, living for 14 years in the wild, reaching up to 30 years in captivity.
But that doesn't matter, everyone already knows the size, weight, etc, etc...
You mentioned the life story of the Lion, what is in fact real, this trajectory they go through.
We can also highlight that released in nature, lions usually attack in groups, while tigers do it individually. In a one-on-one confrontation, the tiger has the upper hand.
Basically, the lion's only job is to defend its territory from males outside the group, if other lions still try to be part of the group, the males fight. The loser will have to leave. When a new lion comes out victorious and expels the old one, it is also common for him to kill all the cubs in the group.
Usually lions spend their lives fighting and defending their pride, so they have fighting skills by nature, but these skills certainly served in a confrontation between them, a wild lion has never fought a tiger, and the difference in fighting between them is noticeable. .
The tiger has larger claws and teeth and a bite force that can reach 1,050 PSI, a much more powerful bite than the Lion which is 650 PSI, the Tiger is more agile and smarter, it supports itself on its hind legs to strike with the front legs that are both bigger than the lion's, have you ever seen the size of the gaur the biggest bovideo that the tiger kills and drags alone? something a lion would never do in Africa with the African buffalo which is about 30% smaller and which weighs 600 to 800 kg less than the gaur. You've seen that tigers swim more than 8km across huge rivers.
Back to talking about paws, the lion has more muscular paws, but the tiger has bigger paws, and bigger claws, giving a bigger attack in area and penetrates more in the meat, besides the tiger gives much, much more kicks than the lion, making you dizzy.
He can't react to so many kicks at the same time, just hold on and try to attack, but this is difficult because of the tiger's agility. There's another advantage that clearly makes the tiger win, just like many others.
Well, let's talk now about the lion's mane, the mane serves as neck protection in fights with other lions. It has been proven that the mane only reduces the force of the kick, but even so, the lion takes damage.
Each one's fighting technique, for being more aggressive, the lion's technique is just to advance and he normally uses his paws to hurt with his claws, he also uses his mouth and jaw a lot, while the tiger is a mix between the two. it bites and punches with both paws and also knows how to defend itself on the ground, usually it aims at the face or back, giving the tiger one more advantage.
Tiger: Size, weight, strength, stronger bite, agility, intelligence, bigger legs, fighting techniques, better hunter, bigger claws, bigger teeth, muscular and strong hind legs, flexibility, excellent swimmers and climbing skills, and instinct for survival.
"There is and before I forget, the Tiger is among the 10 strongest animals in the world, and the strongest feline in the world"
Lion: Stamina, mane, aggressiveness, combat experience, speed, stronger front legs and paws.
Imagining a wild scenario between a Lion and a Tiger, The Tiger certainly chooses to survive and would never fight a lion without an obvious reason, since the lion is more aggressive and would go for the Tiger, the tiger would certainly run away to avoid confrontation. , but you had no way out and the tiger knew that the only way to get out alive was to fight, usually he would win and even kill the lion.
Obviously it wouldn't always be like this, it will depend a lot on each animal, as a percentage I would give 55% that the tigers would win and 45% that the lions would win.
In captivity, something similar would likely happen. I've seen several videos of Tiger vs Lion. I realize that the lion's temperament is to impose, and want to attack the tiger. The tiger, on the other hand, avoids confrontation, and if attacked, he shows submission, in an attempt to let the Lion know that he has won. Now, if the confrontation does not cease, and the tiger realizes that, the fight will only stop when one of the two dies, the tiger usually wins, and even kills the lion. In the wild, if there were, obviously the lions would win because they work as a team, but if it is 1x1 the tiger has the advantage and has a better chance of winning, in captivity or in the wild.
In 2011, a tiger killed a lion with a single blow, a fact recorded in a zoo in Ankara, Turkey. The information is that the Tiger entered the lion's cage and at the moment of contact, the tiger cut the lion's jugular, with just one blow. but this should not be taken into account, because there is nothing proven as to how it happened, even though it is real, there is no way to know the status of each animal in this record.
The conclusion is that in a one-on-one battle, the tiger wins. In the wild, it is possible for the lion to give the Tiger more work, but depending on the state of each animal, and how the fight would be, the tiger would usually beat the lion most of the time.

Lions are taller than tigers, tigers are longer. The mane of the lion makes him look even taller on top of that. Tigers get the advantage of their length when the cats stand up on hind legs to fight. Tiger being longer has more reach. Being able to use both the paws with equal efficiency is another advantage tigers have. The lion's mane protects him. Tigers also want to avoid brutal conflicts which is another advantage for the lion. If the lion can capitalize on the initial hesitancy of the tiger, good for him but once the tiger really fights for life, the balance shifts heavily.

Bergmann's rule states that populations and species of larger size are found in colder environments, while populations and species of smaller size are found in warmer regions.
The earliest explanation, given by Bergmann when originally formulating the rule, is that larger animals have a lower surface area to volume ratio than smaller animals, so they radiate less body heat per unit of mass, and therefore stay warmer in cold climates. Warmer climates impose the opposite problem: body heat generated by metabolism needs to be dissipated quickly rather than stored within.
Thus, the higher surface area-to-volume ratio of smaller animals in hot and dry climates facilitates heat loss through the skin and helps cool the body.
Bergmann's rule can be observed or is exemplified in polar bears (bigger) and andean bear (smaller), in red foxes from northern (bigger) and southern (smaller) populations and in siberian tigers (bigger) versus sumantran tigers (small).

lion live in hell/savanah not In flores/paradise when their can even be a apex predator there in flores. So you need to understand why lioness limited their limit offspring growth when in the womb so it does not grow too large, savanah is hell for animals, and florest is like paradise for animals, u better learn mapogos lion documentary, male lion is the creature who has the hardest life in this whole world. no tiger would survive in savanah, thats why none of the tiger species have ever lived, or roam, roaming, roamed in Africa, never. But you can find lions in all parts/corners of the world in history who ever roamed in this whole earth, even though what remains today is naturally only in Africa and Asia-India. Also size doesn't matter for lion. lions are the only big cats that in one species their growth and development sizes vary greatly, their size is not really determined because of their species, because in one species they can grow larger or smaller than the others, because their growth and development is influenced by their mother's ability to hold back their offspring growth so they don't grow too big
      czcams.com/video/vybfyhYK-m0/video.html
And all of these lion doesn't live in wild, they life in capacity so they can grow more larger due to a better nutrion and food cuality and quantity.

It’s weird how they make an average for African lions as one, but they are all different sizes from different regions just like tigers in Asia, but they always just say African lion, but tigers they name as all different tigers and different weights. Some lions from parts of Africa are way bigger than other lions from other parts, but they just put them all into one group except for Barbary and capes that are extinct now. Idk but it’s weird why they do this with lions and not tigers

. Lions are definitely smaller than tigers. and less weight. and less powerful.which is recognized all over the world.
The tiger is the largest among the cat species. A Bengal tiger is bigger than an African lion.
Tiger is overweight. Tiger is bigger. Tigers have more muscles. And the claws and teeth of the tiger are the largest among the cat species..
Not the Siberian tiger. The Bengal tiger is bigger than the African male lion.
