Legalism is a term to make people feel comfortable in unrighteousness. Claiming Christianity but living like the world.
Very true! But there are also Pharisee types, that smile and do all manner of good deeds (as long as people see them), and appear to keep the Commandments, but will joyfully stab a true brother or sister in Christ in the back. I went to a church exactly like that and was shocked to discover what they were really like when no one was looking. Praise Jesus, He took me out of there. A real, true Holy Spirit filled church with real agape love is a difficult, if not impossible thing to find these days, even in the so called bible belt.
If real love for others isn't the first commandment that is followed, the rest doesn't matter.

It is describing individuals who base their salvation and righteousness primarily on their good works or on certain commandments that are in the Bible. Like those who are hung up on women not wearing pants, makeup, jewelry, worshipping on a certain day, and so on and so forth. They put their faith in their rituals and their traditions. More than they do in the blood that Jesus shed for us on the cross. Like the Pharisees did in the Bible.

Galatians 5 clearly explains what Fleshly sin is and how a born-again Christian can fall away from God. Another way a person can fall away is by "Rejecting" what is written. 1 Samuel 15:23 For Rebellion is as the Sin of "WITCHRAFT", And stubbornness is as idolatry Because you have "REJECTED" the WORD of the LORD. Who is the Word, Jesus, who spoke the Word, Jesus, if you rebel against God and His Holy Word, you automatically receive a witchcraft spirit. In the Book of Hebrews, chapter 3 explains how the witchcraft spirit operates in us.
Jesus, when walking the earth as a man, had no sin, nor under any curses from generational sin, when he received the Holy Spirit of Fire and Water, had no sin, when he overcame Satan attends to make Jesus sin,, and failed, Jesus received the Power of the Father,
When Jesus allow Satan to murder Jesus on the Cross, He killed an innocent man, in the law, when anyone who kills an innocent, the penalty is death. Satan is a defeated foe, When Jesus willingly became sin for us and took the curses by being nailed to the cross, Jesus was cursed. Deuteronomy 2:22-23 and Genesis 9:6. By willingly dying on the cross, went to hell for us, and took the keys back from Satan, who ruled the world, How? Satan is the ruler of the earth,, because of SIN. When Jesus was going the Father, he gave us "ALL" authority over Satan, to preach, heal and cast out demons, ON Pentecost, the Spirit of the Father, The Power to the disciples who walked with Jesus, By receiving the Holy Spirit Jesus gave us authority over evil Luke 10:19-20, and through the Holy Spirit we are reconciled back to the God, a promise to be heir of God.
Glory to God. The next step is to receive the Power, the 2nd Baptism, by dying to sin, by fasting and praying, as you bring your sin offerings to Jesus, and Jesus will crucify your sinful flesh. It's a process of Change (Luke 5:36-39). John 11:25-26 (Jesus Resurrects us from our sin], which is death)., 1 John 3:9-10 (receiving the seed of God, we can no longer sin), Sin brings forth death. James 1:14-15, Hebrews 5, bring our sins to the altar.

@bobstewart4989 you guys fall short like the Galatians not understanding that "works of the flesh" are your efforts to quit sin your efforts to do righteousness and this effort to do something of your self of your flesh bears fruit of adultery fornication witchcraft murder ect ect but the fruit of the Spirit is Holy Spirit fruit God's fruit Jesus' fruit it is not of your self nor works nor efforts to bring Jesus sacrifices and do all these things, this js where you add one tiny piece of leaven to attain unto a better baptism or Holy Spirit's Fire ect, the greatest is the servant. Confirmed by Jesus Christ: "My Blood and My Name is enough." 100% GRACE Gospel has been confirmed by Jesus Christ and tiny pieces of leaven not attaining by Grace left people behind for the great trib! I saw a local in a dream go and kill the pastor who bewitched him out of Grace, watched him crush his skull in with a paint can in my old neighborhood, many others have had dreams too. God wants both the good and the bad at the wedding feast by a grace gospel of Jesus dying risjng jn their place, robes washed in Blood a free gift. One man showed up mixing his efforts of his self instead of going thriugj the free Blood gift and was bound head and fooy thrown into everlasting darkness.
In trib they get a second chance to wash their robes in the Blood of the Lamb & die martyrs, 144k virgin jews & last jewish remnant allowed to survive & populate the 1000 year reign, we are transformed by that point, Everything a Gift, everything, Grace, undeserved, including a personal intimate deep relationship w God. Galatians 5 shows you what the fruits of quitting your own sin, making yourself righteous, are : all the bad stuff.
So if you want to bear the bad fruits then quit all your sins, really work as hard as you can to be righteous and never sin.

It is not by fasting and praying unless by that you mean the Blood of Jesus Christ on the Mercy Seat. Fast everything but that, let that be your prayer, be a simple babe a child & receive more from God, grace often hidden from wise & foolish things used base things things that aren't wise to bring down the things that are. It's all by Jesus & His Finished Work not by fasting: and that message is the fasting and prayer: fast everything but the message that it is by Christ alone & not by fasting. let it be your prayer. Only Christ Holy Spirit bears fruits and fasts the right way (with our life style we eat absolutely as much healthy food we can and never fast food, me being underweight before God hates to starve me He actually does pamper me wants me to get as much rest as possible, The Comforter Friend Holy Spirit.

Hmmm i can think of one really well known church called grace that offers very little 🤔
That witchcraft is often the jezabel spirit and the ahab spirit.... And thst fills in fornication and sin.....
There is no such thing as a Jezebel and Ahab spirit, totally unscriptural.
When a human being dies, that's it. They do not come back as evil spirits, see Hebrews 9:27. The spirits we deal with are named in the New Testament, those that Jesus cast out and that the Apostles cast out.
It's a false doctrine crept in to keep us from dealing with the actual evil spirits. Read and study your Bible for yourself and start with Revelation 22:18-19.

Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.
Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.
Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.
In context with the prior chapter, Galatians 3 is speaking of what Peter had done in chapter 2. It's not about any kind of actual "witchcraft" or bewitching. So this text cannot be used to teach Christians can be actually bewitched.
5:27 bewitched - does not have to mean that they have witches indwelling. They are deluded. Jesus said, No one comes to the Father but by me. No one comes to me except that the Father calls him and in no way will he be cast out. If you have the Spirit you belong to Christ. You can be obsessed but not possessed if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Paul did not advocate deliverance.
