I'm in Benidorm right now and so far the service in lots of the bars and restaurants is absolutley useless. The staff have no clue what they are doing and are just standing around doing absolutley nothing. I have walked out of 3 places so far as I'm literally being ignored. You would think that they would WANT to make money after the bad few years they have had, obviously not.....

Bet you have just been dumping yourself at a table haven't you? You walk in and wait for them to come to you. That way you are indicating you want a meal It is not McDonalds! Mind you a Kiddy Lad wouldn't know much else!
It is amazing how being polite to people and understanding etiquette helps! If you want a drink, go to the counter? And No ,you may not get served straight away. So what? What else do you have to do? Negotiate peace with Putin?Save us from Climate Change?
As I understand it most of the bars in Benigrim are owned by Brits anyway?

Hey Ana, you deliver the best up to date news on Benidorm and the surrounding areas. Let's hope the Energy Saving Plans work out in the tourists best interest, if they fail, then less people will travel x
The fireworks in Altea is a must see! If you have the chance to view it from Altea Hills, you‘ll get a spectacular view of the event. You will see the Mediterranean packed with yachts and boats, all trying to get the perfect position for the spectacle. It is really awesome and since we live here, we are always looking forward to it 👌🏻

Spain/TheMed is experiencing a post covid bounce right now, a lot of people on furlough saved money for 2 years, now that they can travel again there's more than normal looking for a holiday. If this recession grips all of Europe all of that might change again and people will stay home. This Winter is going to be a tough one especially here in the UK when Energy price caps are lifted again.
With all the bills going up in the winter many won’t be booking holiday next year people are in for shock this winter it’s a one off this year
It´s a difficult year for businesses in Spain with all sorts of challenges so far, so let´s hope that the latest law about energy saving doesn´t cause visitors to stop comming. in a few weeks time the weather will be a little cooler so aircon will be less of a problem.
We have booked to go in May 2023 and now I’m starting to regret it…😬😂 why are they driving tourists away , after covid you would think they would want to regain all that revenue not lose more

Thanks for good update Ana, Pleased that you confirmed hotel rooms are exempt from 27C rule, I think that will reassure a lot of uk tourists. Also I heard that the the 27C rule does not apply at all in las canarias. Looks like you will achieve the 30C sea temp you predicted quite soon. Also I think the eu have delayed etias until Nov 2023 and date stamping of passports will then be done electronically. 🏖🏝☀️👍😁🇪🇸

Seems to be too many upcoming problems with going to Spain now. My last 2 hols have been elsewhere and just as good if not better.

@@BenidormbyAna I meant for foreigners to enter Spain, we are classed as un vaccinated because we only had 2 vaccines so would need to take tests but Greece you don’t need to.
If the hotels stop having the bacony lights on at night there would be a signifcant saving of power.The night sky would be much better to view aswell.

Based on the latest opinion polls don't think Spain will be leaving the EU. Because of the terms of the TCA the UK withdrew from agreements on free movement which makes the UK a third country. .The Spanish or EU are not punishing the UK simply adhering to EU rules .
