Well it is still the best league according to UEFA rankings, it just doesnt have the best teams anymore. Basically the italian teams in the middle of the table are stronger than in other leagues.
Fairplay. Its actually a nice way to rank the top 5
That's a shocking way of picking the top 2

@@Galaxyplaysofficial13 The level of the teams is equal... Makes zero sense to say that
@@Galaxyplaysofficial13 Ofc CL is harder, but then again, you still have teams like Atalanta beating the (then) top team of the Premier League by 0x3 in their own homes and Leverkusen who is also at UEL going 40+ matches undefeated beating both Bayern and Dortmund by 16+ points in their home league while these teams are still in the race to qualifying for semifinals of CL. So it is not always easy to make direct comparisons.
I donât think that will affect the top 3 in La liga very much
Damn, those FIFA/UEFA ranking. They make it so complex, that in the end the result almost always wrong. Like Belgium being 1st for years or now Italy 1st, when they can't do anything in CL for a whole decade.
Why is this shocking?
PL isn't a high quality league. Besides the few rich clubs, the rest are average at best.
What confuses people is the busy schedule that makes all the top club players tired....so the smaller clubs win every now and then.
Spain is a different story. There are 3 amazing clubs , 2 solid ones and the rest are easy pickings.
It is shocking as three teams from La liga are in the quarterfinals, two teams from premier league, and Bayern and psg, thereâs no Italian clubs so they shouldnât be up there, plus they havenât won the ucl in 2 decades đđđ

You just proved my point.
These same clubs are consistently on top.
Plus you're talking about this season.
Last season there where 2 Italian clubs in the quarter finals of UCL.
â@@Nanoonk So Dortmund isnt in the quarter finals?
Hot take: the issue isn't the method of ranking. The issue is the dumb scheme where the top 2 associations based on last season's performance have an extra club entering the competition. That shouldn't be a thing. Uefa needs to find a better way to allocate these places
I dont understand, premier league has 3 title contenders, laliga has 3 contenders(madrid barcelona girona), meanwhile bundesliga has only 1 contender(leverkusen) and serie a too has only 1 (inter)
To be honest I think that this spots should go to smaller countries that are barely fighting to get into ulc through all the playoffs
Like Switzerland.
Very very true!
Portuguese league
The thing is no matter what the other countries does through the qualifiers of ucl only the top countries only gets the benefits and believe me if real won ucl the spot goes to Spain and Germany and prem is about city like they doesn't get a single ffp punishment whereas other smaller clubs get it and France is useless and Italy is good but not enough only Spain is always consistent and very good

Actually league rankings are based on the last 5 years but the champions league additional spots are based on the last year
They should rank it based on which league does best in their competitions
If spanish teams perform well in the ucl they get the extra spot in the ucl
If english teams do well in the uel they get the extra spot in the uel
If italian teams do well in uecl they get the extra spot in the uecl
GOD Bless us all Amen
My guess is because of intense competition in their domestic leagues (a 3 way race for the title with 4th and 5th still technically in the running in the Premier League and Girona pulling a Leverkusen in the first half of the La Liga season)
One could add, that England and Spain are still first and second in the uefa ranking. This ranking determines how many international spots each Confederation is eligible to, in general.
The ranking you are referring to, is just an excerpt of said ranking, which lists only the results of the current season. It's not used for anything but determining the two bonus spots in the UCL.
Serie is underrated
How can a League without goalline technology be one of the best leagues
Finally Sevilla find a way to play in EPL
This is only for this season, what matters is the average of the last 5 seasons hence still England and Spain
I think Liverpool will make a comeback against Atlanta đ
If possible they could even reach the final
thats a great way to pick top 2

No they shouldnt
â@@minstel2137Yes they should, winning a UCL match is harder than UEL
â@@uchihagaming3799
It isn't, it is between clubs of the same level, wins and draws count the same.
However you already get more points in the Champions League by qualifying in the next round compared to the Conference League.
So for example if a team qualifies to the Final of the Champions League with two draws and penalty compared to a team that qualifies to the Final of the Conference League with two wins, it will get more points.
However a team losing in the Champions League semi final two times would get less points than a team that won one game and lost the other in the Conference League(and got out in goal difference)
And still, bundesliga now hat two semi finalists in the UCL and probably one in UEL, it would only kick italy out
â@@uchihagaming3799WOW, WHO KNEW IT IS VERY HARD FOR PAOK TO BEAT REAL MADRID đ€Żđ€Żđ€Ż
there is no fricking way bundesliga get an extra spot
They have 3 teams with good chance of reaching the semis
Why? They are better than serie a tbh
There is a fricking way
Why is there no way? Yes there is if Bundesliga is top 2. Which actually has been overdue. Most Bundesliga clubs crashed out of european competitionsin the last years only because of constant referee 'mistakes' and their opponents always being awarded 1 or even 2 penalties every match or last minute goals in a too long extra time... But Bundesliga teams actually been on par or even better despite their obvious financial disadvantages

Top stars are literally joining Bundesliga atm, but ok. But why is bro singling Bundesliga out like that? All you people constantly hating on Bundesliga got some serious envy issues going on. Be glad that Bundesliga still exists, and is not just another soulless league that sold out. Only reason players leave Bundesliga is for money advantages in other leagues due to them selling out to oil states and such. That's what you're crying about inside
@@ThomasSamoth-ls8ed Who?

Its based off of average based off of the past few years, thats only this season,
About time this system is changed as well. Rankings have always been inefficient but it was fine since they didnt matter, thats no more the case.
Were you born yesterday?
Rankings always decided how many teams participated in the Uefa Competitions. From San Marino to Spain they have 4 or 7 teams participating. San Marino playing qualifications starting in July, Spain qualifying in group stage automatically.
And of course there is everything in between. There used to be 32 'spots' being divided, now it will be 34.
I would have argued but PL refereeing makes me think they should be in 6th place
True no Spanish team other that the big three is playing in a ueropean league this season ....yet spainish clubs won the most ueropa leagues ..that's even without the big three...Seville won it double the amount of another team ..and I think spain won it three times within 5 years...I think spain deserves that extra spot
Doesn't matter, only the current state does
Bro 4 teams r allowed in the Champions League and Spain has 3 of them in the quarter finals now. What do u mean by no more than three teams r there in the Champions League from La Ligađ
The only Spanish teams left in European competition are those in the UCL, so La Liga is basically banking on those 3 teams whereas Eng, Ger & Ita have teams in at least 2 European tournaments
"European competition" not UCL
Bye bye Barca đ
hohoho, liverpool might pull off another instanbul/corner taken quickly
England literally has the same points as germany, so as long as Arsenal beat Bayern and Atletico veat Dortmund, then England is through unless Bayer Leverkusen beat West Ham and win the competition and Man City get knocked out by Real Madrid and so do Arsenal in the semis (or even if Arsenal lose in the qf).
So basically prem wonât get an extra ucl spot
Likelyhood of your scenario:Bayern is at home at the second leg so they will probably go through (60% Chance)
Atletico vs Dortmund is close but atletico will win (65% Chance)
Bayer Leverkusen is gonna f*ck west ham and will probably get Invinceble Treble (80% Chance)
Man City vs Real is 50 50
but Villa will probably win Confrence League (65% chance)
@@user-uy6st6ui2vOpposite occurred in BVB Atleti. (5-4 BVB win)
U predicted everything wrong congrats
And now the 5th ucl spot is officially gone. To be honest, I did not expect this outcome before the quarters. I really expected Dortmund to lose against Atletico, I expected Man City and Arsenal to win (which would have guaranteed the prem a secure ucl finalist) and I expected Liverpool to win against Atalanta. Everything went wrong for the prem in these weeks.
It's over, UCl is finished
I'm Italian, serie A is a good league but nowhere near to its greatness peak from second half of XXth century, especially 80s-90s and 2000-2010. Premier League is still the best league right now.

I mean unless bayern beat arsenal and city lose to real Madrid England will finish ahead of Germany basically bayern must win because if bayern don't they would be relying on dortmund getting to the final. He says no Italian team
Not the Spanish đ©
If this is the logic used by UEFA then the leagues should be able to nominate their representatives. Newcastle and Man U were always going to achieve nothing in the UCL and have basically cost England. Whereas having Liverpool would have been much better for English teams generally.
What do you mean nominate representatives? Every single club playing in an European competition is automatically a representative of their league
I didn't get it , can someone please explain? đ
The EPL is massively overhyped

At best, the coefficients should be tied.
@@godsplank.ugwujapendullum4927 The coeffiicient is a running coefficient. Bayern and Dortmund (GER), Man City and Arsenal (ENG) and Barcelona, Atletico and Real Madrid (ESP) may all advance to semifinals still and then win champions League. So depending on how that goes, it is still an open race for all. You could in theory also have a final between both Spanish and both German teams still in CL. The only thing that is the odd one out is Italy because they have all their 3 teams only on UEL and 0 teams left in CL, that is probably why CL should get a slightly better score than UEL exactly to prevent that.
