- This piece was recorded as the choir emerged from lockdown as part of the VOCES8 Live from London Christmas Festival 2021. The choir had had very little live rehearsal time in preparation for this recording, but was pleased to be able to take part and contribute to the festival.

That was wonderful. I found a version of this arrangement a couple of years ago, sung by Jussi Bjorling - a fantastic Swedish tenor - from the 1930s and have been looking for a choral version ever since. Today I found it. Worth the wait.

It is not written for soloists!
Give the soloists a rest, let the (4) choirs take centre stage, you will love the result.
