This is the best thing I have demoed for a long long time. I love how nowadays companies can pack so much into a tiny little box. In the case of the AMPED 3, you can pack 3 virtual valve heads, 3 cabs, with reverb, FX loop and 9Volt power to 2 pedals on the plane, all in one package. Yes, please! This would be my live rig. With perhaps a delay in the loop with a couple of modulation FX running alongside, I'd be sorted.
The Blackstar Dept. 10 AMPED 3 is a professional 100w guitar amp in a compact pedal that delivers the response and ‘feel’ of a real guitar amp. Its compact design can be easily integrated into your existing rig. AMPED 3's unique, high-headroom power amp design delivers maximum power and optimum tone with any cab set-up at 8 or 16 Ohms. Better still, AMPED 3 is small enough to carry in your gig bag pocket, allowing you to take your tone with you anywhere!
    Authentic Valve Amp Feel
The unique power amplifier design uses current feedback which mimics a valve amplifier's interaction with a speaker cabinet. This very high headroom design delivers the thump and presence of a valve amp with 100W power, into any speaker cabinet at 8 or 16 Ohms.
The reverb type, time, and tone can be customised using Blackstar’s Architect deep-editing software and saved to the Dept. 10 AMPED 3 in place of the default reverb. When the Reverb is active, holding the Reverb footswitch will activate the ‘Freeze’ effect.
Fine-tune your cabinet, mic, and room simulations with our CabRig technology and output via XLR or stereo jack. Or, connect via USB for effortlessly simple recording to your DAW without the need for an interface.
Dept 10. AMPED 3 is universal voltage so can be used anywhere in the world from 100V to 240V ~ 50/60Hz. Just stick it in your gigbag and hop on that plane.

I have watched dozens of CZcams reviews of the Amped 3 and yours is the very best by far. I really liked your examples of valve responses - and you're the only one to demontrate the reverb freeze function. Excellent stuff...

I've been running the Amped 3 (sometimes direct into my DAW, sometimes through my Marshall return jack, and sometimes both at the same time) with a Tumnus into a Spark Booster - when it calls for it - into the "front" of the Amp pedal. Then I run a Boss delay into a Wampler Ethereal reverb/delay, into a Spark mini through the effects loop. The 2nd Spark gives that nice volume boost for solos. The Marshall DSL40 only has two channels with a shared EQ. The Amped 3 has 3 channels with individual EQs per channel, plus extra options. This Blackstar creation is my new go to setup. Win.

I'm so happy Blackstar has gone down this path. I've been a Blackstar fan from the first HT series amp I owned. I always said that Blackstar is the company Marshal should have grown up and become. Solid gear, straight forward to use, sounds just great, no need for "fancy". This little pedal plus a Plethora or H9 in the loop and you are absolutely laughing!

Amazing how far modellers have come! The only unfortunate part is that because it’s a computer, it’ll become obsolete pretty quickly and get replaced with something better within a few years which inevitably kills the resale price. It’s really the only place a tube amp still wins hands down. That said, if you’re looking for a music making tool that is lightweight and portable, and selling it down the road isn’t a primary consideration, these are awesome in the studio and on the stage! Love the power tube selection!

You can choose to no be part of the endless cycle of new models.
Not like what you have still stop working suddenly just because new models came out.
Modelers have reached a point where any new models won’t have drastic difference in sound quality and improvements will be more to do with features and interface.
No real reason to upgrade unless you must have the latest.
I know people still using Boss GT-8

Blackstar will improve Amped 2 with memory slots, so you can recall them... even via midi would be Ok.

I will say, it really matters what speaker your running this through. I ran it through a 2x12 vert Blackstar cab with some rando Celestion speakers and thought it sounded a little cheap, not bad, but cheap. Ran it through a 1x12 mesa cab it blew my fucking brains out. This thing absolutely RIPS. The cleans are amazing, the crunch bites harder than a Pitbull dreaming about children, and the Overdrive would make a Mazda 787B blush. Serious contender for anyone in the market for a 3 channel amp that doesn't weigh 75 pounds.

Amped3 is where it's at. it doesn't have effects like the amped2, but the amped2 doesn't have the gain like the amped3. The way to go IMO (I've played all 3) is to get the Amped3 and any effects you want buy them separately and run the through the effects loop.

Travis, if you watched my videos, you'd know I don't promote anybody and everybody. I actually use what I promote, and if I'm paid for it even better. Out of 500+ videos on this channel, I've only done about a dozen paid sponsorships ever. I have used the AMPED 3 with the THR30ii together for every video since I got it because it was a product I was waiting for for a long time because it's perfect for what I do. And before then, I solely used the Yamaha THR amps. If I didn't like it, I wouldn't have made a video on it in the first place. I would have simply sent it back and kept my mouth shut. You're right to be sceptical in this day and age but you're wrong to channel your feelings towards me in this scenario.
Also, I already owned and used Blackstar and Yamaha products years before I was ever contacted by the brands to do videos.
Now that you've been informed, in future please don't comment about me on my videos when you don't know what you're on about.

I use the AMPED 3 in every video Shane. I don't need paying to say how good this product is for what I do. If you watched me or this channel you would know I hardly do any paid sponsored videos at all. I don't promote anybody who's anybody. I promote the stuff I like. Out of over 500 videos on this channel, under 30 of those are sponsored. I hope this clarifies things. 👍🏻
