Alright you've convinced me , I'll see how I can get this one. Dice Tower was a bit divided on this one, but Chris Yi absolutely loved it giving it a 10/10, said it's the perfect filler.

Once again, you’ve tipped the scales for me and I will be getting this game. Looking forward to it. Thanks!

When I saw the gameplay of this I got cube rail vibes. After hearing your thoughts, I think I'm gonna seek it out.

Would have been great to have this game in a smaller box

Looks good. Bring it Wednesday if your coming. I'm bringing in the hall of the mountain king just to make sure we have a game to play.

Looks like a mix of Through the Desert and Concordia

    It’s chaos at 4/5 players
    Almost 0 strategic control
Especially if there are players who are setting up the next player and you aren’t that next player
I have no idea how you liked it, given you affinity for strategic games
This is a filler alright but nothing close to a 10/10 for me
I rated it a 6.5 and our top 100s have a lot in common. I’m utterly surprised, borderline shocked, by this review. The depth in this game is nearly the same as TTR, which is almost nothing. I’ll give it a try at 2p and I expect it to shine given the increased control, but I’ll not playing this at 4/5p again. It’s madness

Still love this game. I always play it at 3p though.

      @@ChairmanoftheBoard I know you do
      That’s what shocked Me
I got this game after I watched this video
As I did Pergamon, qin, world exchangers and SO MANY MORE
As I hinted at, 3 might work better
But 4/5 is no go for me
It’s random chaos at those high counts
Which side of the board do you use at 3? I’ve heard some say 4/5 p side works well at 3 too

I've only used the recommended boards for the player count

At 9:00 how are they not breaking any rules? The 2 length road isn't connecting to a new city. How are they able to place onto two routes?

Yeah, I got this game too. Rather pricey. When I get to play it I don't know...
I guess "Dicetower Chris" inspired you also? ;-)

How does it compare to Pioneers do you know?

I like Pioneers, but much prefer this one.

If you like the kind of decision space present in Caesar's Empire, you gotta try Portobello Market. Great dusty gem that fits right in with CE and Pioneers. Dolmen is another one to add.

It sounds like an abbreviated Railroad Tycoon/Railways of the World/Age of Steam/Steam, which is a sort of endorsement.
Lack of beige kills it for me, though.

  • @Tapio_Tachyon

This was kind of flat experience for me, every single thing you do gives points so there was barely any tension or excitement, and it wasn't super difficult to math out the best move at any given point. Also the constant scoring of roads after every single turn is really irksome in a game as light as this

I suppose that's the great thing about the hobby. Multiple takes on the same game.

There's no cards, either trains or routes. The gameplay pattern is covered comprehensively in the review.
