Floriferous is superb. I've played a bunch of it solo. It's so easy to get into and very satisfying.

That’s funny. I’ve been carrying floriferous around in the same bag as my oculus quest three and I’ve been having people at work, play it and such an amazing game. I mention the oculus because if there’s no one to play a game at work. I’ll just play the quest 3 myself, but I’m always trying to get people to play a boardgame instead and this has been a banger. Sitting next to me in my bag now as I deliver plumbing supplies to Raleigh and we plan on playing it when I get back! Have you played with the early spring mini expansion yet? In my opinion, it’s not essential, but I never play without it. It just adds another layer of decision, allowing you to peek under one of the face cards or swap positions of two cards in a row or column once per day. Nothing groundbreaking, but it feels like it just seamlessly integrates into the game like it was part of the original design and that’s what I’m looking for in expansion. it adds fun little decisions such as when a goal card that you really want is in the same column as a card you want and then you use one of your three weather cards to swap the position of the goal card with a future goal card a couple turns away so you can try get both. But as soon as you do that, your opponents see what you’re trying to do.

Sorry, I meant once per game not once per day. You can use the expansion cards.

Strange thing with the audio as some commenters point out. It was a disaster using my iPhone’s loudspeakers but switching to Airpods it was fine again...

Boomerang is a perfect game for this category.

Big thumbs up to Coloretto, such a great filler at many different player counts and 2 ways of scoring. Always fun ❤

Have you seen Triqueta? - a recent tile-based release similar to Coloretto but with different scoring (3 of a kind is optimal).

@@tonycork2pa469 i'd like to try it, but i wouldn't buy it as many mention is too similar to Coloretto. Btw Coloretto's difficult scoring is like that, 3 of a suit is best

I enjoy most of those. Floriferous scratched the same itch as the Whatnot Cabinet for me - I own the former but passed on the latter's higher price point.
I thought you might have given Ka-Ching or Ohanami a mention - but to be fair, the list is endless with so many light fillers. I like "Trendy", a dated Knizia design.

Thanks for video! Great idea! Sadly getting quite a few digital artefacts in the audio
