One of the biggest reason why I rejected taking Christianity seriously because of rejection from other Christians. Rich Mullins and this Man right here really opened my eyes and loved Jesus. I now love my brothers who are not in Christ as they are and not as they should be

As a recovering alcoholic, this man helped me even after he was taken into Glory. God spoke to me through the movies "Ragamuffin" and "Brennan" and I am so grateful for the recovery God has blessed me with. I listen to his sermons and quote them often and I find the Gospel of Christ seared on my life! I find his words bring me comfort and conviction at the same time.
We have a hope that makes this life less than a wisp of wind! God loves you as you are, not as you should be, because none of us are as we should be.

Beautiful comment. Ragamuffin was very special. I became a heroin addict after my salvation, going to bible college..I know right? That's not supposed to happen.
Life can be hard, messy and complicated yet the grace of God is more powerful and relentless.
Bro. Manning different reminded us of God's unfailing love.

I love this message of Brennan! First having grown up as a child as a Catholic under a legalistic view of God but learning to read the Gospel and understand Grace! The only time that I had ever heard Ragamuffin referred to anyone before was to one of my favorite Christian musicians, Rich Mullins! I still today try to follow everything I can on Rich on the Ragamuffin Archives! What a pleasure it was to find a band in Kentucky from Aiken,SC searching called Ragamuffin Sons and finding Brennan! I am now totally obsessed with learning about Brennans Ragamuffin Gospel of truth, brokenness, and walking out of the Church changed and serving Jesus, ! ✝️❤️🙏

@@benmiddleton9984 the King James Bible ,maybe the oldest English version of the Bible “not sure”. I’m referring to the story of the man with two sons. He asked the first son to do something, the son said “No”. So he asked the second son and he said yes.but he didn’t do it! Scripture said the first son “repented”. Which means change of heart/mind . Then the first son did as his father asked! The father did not condemn the first son for refusing him! “For there is no condemnation for those in Christ JESUS” but because of the “Fathers love” not judgement for the first son ,he was changed.Body Mind and Soul. GOD is ❤️. jESUS said if you’ve seen me you’ve seen the father! For we are one! The woman caught in adultery, woman at the well, peters denial, zacchaeus,Paul killed Christian’s. JES-US is for US. Not condemning but “LOVING” and that 💕 will change you ,as it changed them. And that same LOVE changed me!Romans 4:6-8 David speaks of blessedness of the man to whom GOD credits rightness apart from works.blessed are they whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.blessed is the man whose sin the LORD will “NEVER” count against him! I fill your pain ,it took me over 30 long year’s before I could believe this truth . But it is “truth”! John 8:32 You are loved , now be set free. I Love you,I’m praying 🙏🏼 for you! And finally I can “honestly” say “JESUS I love you”!

This he wants us also to see. When we believe that he see's us that way and believe it. We begin on our journey of reliying on him to help us with his Grace empower us to walk right in his sight. Learning a new and living way of life which is no longer self-centered but God centerd.

My guess would be that this clip was later than that because Dasani would've had to have gained enough in market popularity to reach a saturation level high enough to stumble its way into this video. 2001 - 2005 maybe?

Even having the Holy Spirit, we can get discouraged, depressed, angry and troubled in so many ways. I guess it's not theoretically possible, but it happens in real life to broken people. Of course it means we turned our sight to another direction and chose to see circumstances instead of believing God and listening to His voice, but we are human and even the Holy Spirit doesn't force us. He uses even those tough circumstances and the pains, and the consecuences of mistakes and addictions to take us closer to His heart and teach us to trust Him wholy. Hope it makes senses to you. Cheers.

    • @fumblingwithfaith

It is true that we must crucify our flesh daily, but make no mistake, God loves us as we are. It is His love, His Grace and His mercy that changes us from "as we are' into "as He is" but as long as we are in these flesh suits, we will never truly be like Him. We are sinners, saved by Grace through Faith. Not of ourselves, so we cannot brag about our accomplishments. It is all HIM, none us. We surrender, that's all we can bring to the table. Thank you for commenting.
      Romans 5:8
...but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
      John 3:16-18
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
      Ephesians 2:4-10
But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ-by grace you have been saved- and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

@@fumblingwithfaith But if none of us are as we should be in God's sight aren't we all going to hell then? Aren't we all supposed to be New Creations in Christ? God has conditions for ALL OF US! We are all called to repent and so forth. If God truly accepted us as who we were he wouldn't call us to repent.

    • @fumblingwithfaith
      @fumblingwithfaith  Před 2 lety +1

@@benmiddleton9984 Would you say that you are perfect and Holy? Of course you aren’t. Neither is anyone else. Without the work of Jesus Christ at Calvary , none of us are good enough to be in God’s presence. God is perfect and Holy and that is the standard He requires. There is only One who has ever lived that perfect life. The Lamb of God, Jesus Christ our Lord.
We indeed are new creations in Christ. That’s also His doing, not ours. Everything that can be done , that must be done and which will be done - to get us into right standing with God , is in and through Jesus Christ .
As I understand it from scripture: there are three stages of what we call being saved. There’s justification, sanctification, and finally glorification. What happens when we are born again , saved , accept Jesus Christ as our savior is justification. We are made right with God the Father by the work of God the Son at the Cross and sealed by God the Holy Spirit and eternally His. During our lives in these bodies we are in a process of sanctification where we are allowing Jesus to change us from our innermost being outward and hopefully bearing the fruit of the Holy Spirit in our lives. After we die we will receive a glorified body and live in eternity with Christ Jesus. Now I’m not an expert at breaking all of that down by any means , but that’s the gist of it as I understand it.
So . …. The only way any of us are “as we should be” is all due to the work of Jesus Christ at Calvary and the Holy Spirit and not ourselves. Doesn’t mean we are to just coast through life sinning away, but that we acknowledge that it’s not our efforts but His Spirit changing us. It’s all Grace my brother.
God please teach us. Guide us. In Jesus name.
