I'm a pentecostal protestant but heading to catholic church after got answers to my questions which I never got from my protestant church since 11 years of my faithful walk in pentecostal denomination. Now I'm convinced there is only ONE HOLY CATHOLIC APOSTOLIC CHURCH which catholic church only, whom Jesus gave the keys to st. Peter.
I am a non denominational Protestant. Just ran across Bishop Sheehan today for 1st time. This man is an amazing orator and champion for the gospel. Made me reconsider my biases against the Catholic Church.
Sorry Poodle, but Jesus only established ONE Church. One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. If all brothers and sisters were from the same faith then all would believe the same, but they don't. For 1500 years all Christians believed the same, and then came the protestant revolt.

At this present time, Catholics are undergoing tremendous scandal and evil in her body, mainly from its clergy. It is her MEMBERS that are sinful, and there are many (in terms of numbers, Catholics are the highest number of Christians in the world). I’m 62, born in 1961. Raised in a Baptist and Methodist household. When I was a child in the 1960s, my mother loved to watch the short clips of Bishop Sheen’s messages shown at the end of certain programs. She always talked about how she used to listen to his program back in the 1950s. I was baptized Presbyterian during college and confirmed in the Episcopal church. At 50, I converted to Catholicism. I’m glad I grew up in a home where all Christians were valued. ❤️🙏

I was protestant all my life until God led me to actually learn about true Catholicisim .I converted at 34yrs old and it's the true teachings of the apostles ,and God told us to follow the teachings of the apostles, whether by word or tradition.
Once upon a time, Archbishop Sheen had a beautiful TV program. My parents would drop everything and watch him. This was in the '60's to early '70's if I'm correct. Can you imagine if he was on TV now, what a breath of fresh air he would be for the world? Bishop Sheen, pray for us!

Venerable Fulton Sheen blessed my family with a miracle. We prayed to Venerable Sheen for months and my children and I are now safe, no longer homeless and no longer threatened. JMJ This could have only happened by the miraculous intercession of Venerable Sheen. We will send this story to the Vatican. Thank GOD for Venerable Sheen as he needs to be granted Sainthood!
MyNana - I think we can agree that Fulton Sheen was a good man, but he was not and is not God and to imagine that because your problems resolved as a result of 'praying' to him is very problematic in biblical terms. He was a very inspirational man and messenger from God but it's very worrisome that so many of his appreciators have elevated him to the position of God Himself! Fulton Sheen is now in the position of all the dead who 'know nothing' so I would ask you to reconsider your belief that you can pray to the dead!!!

I was well-schooled in relation to the church and its doctrine; however, since the bible states clearly that the dead are simply dead, I have a problem with the contradictions when it comes to 'intercessory prayer'. Of course, being from an Irish background, I was well used to the constant reference to the dead, but it was steeped in superstition and I took it with a pinch of salt so I think we'll have to agree to differ in this respect!

I saved this video to Watch Later as I was busy and didn’t intend to watch this now. However, once Bishop Sheen started talking I simply couldn’t tear myself away. He’s absolutely mesmerizing and so full of goodness and joy! I used to watch him often, as a teenager, when my devout Catholic mother would tune in to his tv program. I didn’t realize then what a charismatic speaker he was. How I wish he were still with us. We need him now more than ever!

I used to watch Bishop Sheen's weekly TV shows when I was little. I loved him. A flair for the dramatic, a great sense of humor, and so much gusto in delivering his message.

Sheen a few years ago and most assuredly appreciate his insights, humor, manner of delivery, intelligence, courteous mannerisms, and decent vocabulary.

Breath taking, no other way to describe Bishop Sheens lessons from the Gospel. He makes the Gospels come to life. You cannot listen to him and walk away not realizing why the Gospel is every bit if not more relevant than when it was preached so long ago. As a child and teenager I would sit on the floor with my ear to the radio to listen to his stories; stories based on life lessons that made the Gospel come alive for me! Now, in my older years, I find myself doing more and more of what I learned from him - give of myself to others for the love of God! He was my hero then, and nowadays, it's Bishop Robert Barron! I'm a Protestant, not on board with much in catholicism but I have stumbled on a couple of sermons including this one - I'm floored - one of the best messages I've heard, the cardinal is incredibly funny (laughed out loud at least 3x) and the end message was one of the most profound of the Christian faith. Notice at one point he referred to us "Christians" not just Catholics - incredible servant of the Lord. I believe there is a change coming when the rift betw Protestant and Catholic healed and there will be one body of Believers again united in the gospel message as it was in the early church - God bless you.

They knew what was out there and also knew what it took to keep their man interested. There are American women that do the same, but sometimes they do it for just themselves.
I was a young child during the Bishop's lifetime, but I have re-discovered his amazing ability to translate Catholicism in a way that is easy to comprehend and to bring the religion to life. I would love to have this kind of homily each week from the pulpit.

I am the same today in listening to him as I was back in my teens (the 50's)! What's so amazing is that every topic he touched on is still relevant today? Just like the Bible. Only the names and places change. Like me - I had to change. I thought going to Mass, making my Sacraments, minding my own business, and not breaking any laws was all I had to do? Little did I know that I needed to really understand the meaning of the Ten Commandments, and how to apply Scripture in my own life!

Archbishop Sheen had an insight and intellect rarely sought and rarely found. Yet for all that, he was able to reduce his message into a form and content we can all understand and learn from. We are blessed that the internet can preserve past people and lessons into the future for those yet unborn to learn from. How much has been lost to history of thinkers who taught before the age of television, and did not write, is a loss that can never be counted.

I was well-schooled in relation to the church and its doctrine; however, since the bible states clearly that the dead are simply dead, I have a problem with the contradictions when it comes to 'intercessory prayer'. Of course, being from an Irish background, I was well used to the constant reference to the dead, but it was steeped in superstition and I took it with a pinch of salt so I think we'll have to agree to differ in this respect!

I saved this video to Watch Later as I was busy and didn’t intend to watch this now. However, once Bishop Sheen started talking I simply couldn’t tear myself away. He’s absolutely mesmerizing and so full of goodness and joy! I used to watch him often, as a teenager, when my devout Catholic mother would tune in to his tv program. I didn’t realize then what a charismatic speaker he was. How I wish he were still with us. We need him now more than ever!

As a child and teenager I would sit on the floor with my ear to the radio to listen to his stories; stories based on life lessons that made the Gospel come alive for me! Now, in my older years, I find myself doing more and more of what I learned from him - give of myself to others for the love of God! He was my hero then, and nowadays, it's Bishop Robert Barron! I'm a Protestant, not on board with much in catholicism but I have stumbled on a couple of sermons including this one - I'm floored - one of the best messages I've heard, the cardinal is incredibly funny (laughed out loud at least 3x) and the end message was one of the most profound of the Christian faith. Notice at one point he referred to us "Christians" not just Catholics - incredible servant of the Lord. I believe there is a change coming when the rift betw Protestant and Catholic healed and there will be one body of Believers again united in the gospel message as it was in the early church - God bless you.

I am the same today in listening to him as I was back in my teens (the 50's)! What's so amazing is that every topic he touched on is still relevant today? Just like the Bible. Only the names and places change. Like me - I had to change. I thought going to Mass, making my Sacraments, minding my own business, and not breaking any laws was all I had to do? Little did I know that I needed to really understand the meaning of the Ten Commandments, and how to apply Scripture in my own life!
Archbishop Sheen you are our loyal Son of God. You spoke the truth and lived it all your life. And now you are reaping the harvest. Please Pray for our Bishops and the Church that has fallen from grace. Our Lady of Mercy be our mother to all Suffering Souls who are being Persecuted for their Faith and for speaking the Truth. 🙏🏻

Archbishop Sheen had an insight and intellect rarely sought and rarely found. Yet for all that, he was able to reduce his message into a form and content we can all understand and learn from.
We are blessed that the internet can preserve past people and lessons into the future for those yet unborn to learn from. How much has been lost to history of thinkers who taught before the age of television, and did not write, is a loss that can never be counted.
Joseph Zanca - Unfortunately, the internet will only preserve what it deems to be expedient and I have no doubt that in the very near future, Sheen's sermons will be expunged from the public record just as Christianity is being resolutely eradicated! It has become more and more clear how they're brainwashing our young; especially with the lgbtq/trans etc agenda so we can be absolutely sure that the youth of the future will not have access to Godly information save for carefully secreted bibles that must be hidden!!
