I’m very glad that the rules committee doesn’t ban things too hastily. WotC has has gotten a little too ban-happy in recent years. 😢
@@LinksCow1 that's also due to wotc pumping out so many pushed cards. Modern and standard have been hit with so many meta shifting cards in recent years
For sure. I miss the days when the most we got was a couple good Modern cards a year lol. I guess this is just how things are now. The reason I left Yugioh was too much broken stuff too fast. I hate to see Wizards following suit.

Hahaha. I guess I am evil and love being evil. But stax is awsome. It feels soo good when you have control over the entier board.

The message I got from this video is that it doesn't matter who your commander is as long as you have the right colors to do the handful of win cons that everybody else is trying to do.

Moral of the story is enchantment removal is your friend.
You could say that Zur the enchanter is a Rhystic study in a way 😉
Got a Zur reanimator cedh deck that isnt focused on getting necropotence out fast. It either discard big good creatures (Razaketh, Toxrill, Elesh norn, Old Jin-gitaxias, Consecrated Sphinx) and then reanimate them by attacking with Zur to get Animate dead, Necromancy or dance of the dead. If I can't get any creature into my graveyard in time then I usually just look for a value piece like rhystic study with the zur trigger instead 🙂
I do like the Zur rhystic study Idea honestly.

I've been wanting to make a 5c commanderless deck that focuses on having cards that are never dead in your hand, like blue farm

With rhystic study being insane, don't be surprised if players start seriously playing faerie mastermind in their decks too. Too much value

Won a Cedh game by playing Rhystic Study turn one and drawing 11 cards in two turns. It is a powerful card.

This is kind of contradictory. If you tap out ryhstic any faster deck just wins. You are being greedy by going midrange tax but it's just not better then also jamming wins instead lol. I do like the idea though nice video.
You need a lot of free to cast interactions like force of will etc. So you should be kinda fine even if you tap out.
I win most games with rogsi by feeding rhystics tbh and just having more mana to counter. Only 3 counters for free in blue unless you start adding some weird options. Pact of negation also only active after turn 3 usually and it wins before

When you asked where i was on the game plan, i'm the guy that tutor for Trickbind and screws with Thassa & Dockside. TrickBind and Stiffle effects are very strong on the meta
Douse and lifeforce are just as good as winter orb and static orb as stax/control pieces. I play all 4 in rograhk and thrasios. You say grixis is the mean machine but douse and lifeforce beg to differ even under someone’s rule of law 🤣. I call my rograhk and thrasios decklist brew farm

No offense to the Armix/Kraum players but I would much rather play Breya over them. More colors, infinite mana outlet in the CZ, and it can accomplish the same thing Armix does.

@@SamuelKacerik the cards are poorly balanced. 2 mana for 12 treasures and 2 mana to cast everything you can from your graveyard for a turn. Those aren't fair rates.
Too much banning going on in Magic these days. Even if they banned those four, there are plenty more busted cards waiting in the wings to take over. Just wait, more things will be printed eventually to shake things up.
@@bolosandninjarolls What really poorly balanced is Demonic Consultation. Obviously it was intended that exiling your own deck effect is a drawback, not the main goal. Then toracle was released...
I actually hate metagame right now so i have stopped playing cedh for a while.
might not come back until they ban something that warp the format
(demonfish/thoracle/dockside/breach/some or all reserve list cards, etc.)
I don't think adnaus deserves a ban though.
If it lost those easy combo pieces, its success rate would have been reduced dramatically.
So..ban everything?
