    Can you imagine having one of these back in 1990.?!!! Sure, probably cant jump a river with it, and you wont be leaving it by the train tracks while the group goes swimming in the river, but this would've been very cool back in the day... Ebike jousting lol
    Waiting on a delivery of this bike myself, also got my gf the Ancheer folding ebike 20" wheels. But got me the Vivi 26" mountain bike you have there.
    I noticed, ViVi, Ancheer, Samebike, VOZCVOX and many more use same parts, which is a good thing I guess it means getting replacement parts of same spec might be easier.
    Though I am guessing maybe post BREXIT, the cost of getting these bikes to UK hurts as that bike once £500-£600 is now in the £700 to £800 range but that still a lot cheaper than I can get an ebike for from some of the more well known bike dealers in the UK.

    • @ShenRC
      @ShenRC  Před 11 měsíci

      The best way to get the most mileage out of your bike is to do what I ended up doing, Get the sensor wire from the crank and follow it into the control box and disconnect it to stop the pedal assist mode . Only use throttle and when your on flat or not bad ground pedal the bike when you don't need to use the motor. Reason why I say to do this is because when pedal assists on anytime you pedal the motor kicks on even on flat ground and you waste battery power. you need to take the control box cover off with the 4 screws. You could also power the bike on and off but that would be a pain to do all the time when you just wanted to pedal on flat ground. Hope this helps.

    • @ShenRC
      @ShenRC  Před rokem

      Hi it does this like most e-bikes if your using it the battery can drop a bar then when you stop for a bit it will come back up, that's from the battery voltage drop from under strain it will drop and at rest come back up, a better quality battery won't do this as much because the voltage won't drop under load like a battery that is made with cheaper cells. • @ShenRC
      @ShenRC  Před rokem +2

      Hi keep it in standard mode with top speed 15mph Or if you did what I did you can go crazy far, Disconnect the sensor on the crank of the bike that goes into the control box so you can only activate the motor by the hand throttle this way when your on flat ground you can pedal without having the motor come on all the time or even when your going down a slight hill, I found a lot of times when you don't need pedal assist from the motor in stock form it has to make the motor get used and it drains the battery and with just the hand throttle you can apply how much power you need and when to use it or not use it at all. Hope this helps.

    • @ShenRC
      @ShenRC  Před 3 lety +1

      wow you stripped it... I hate to say it disk brakes always squeak it's a known thing with them... they have a cheap brake alignment tool you slip it on the disk and through the caliper and looses the 2 Allen screws on the caliper unit on the frame and then pull the brakes and hold them and then tighten up the two bolts and it makes the pads spaced from the disk evenly. I always have to degrease my disks with rubbing alcohol and sometimes I scuff both sides of the disks with sand paper and reclean with alcohol and re brake them in...yes there is a proper way to break disk brakes in for bikes or they won't work good.

I read all the specs of matching of the performance field for my DIY s . Here is a first ride story on my new VIVI E-bike, non-folding.
    First I want to say this is my first ride on my new bike, first ride in 40 + years, and first ride since turning 60 years old. I will say I cut my ride by way more than half of what I thought I would do. And it is a good thing I did. I got back to my driveway and fell down. I didn't hurt myself, but I did fall. Then I fell twice more trying to get up. My legs were like noodles. I had to use my car, to help me up.
    With the BIKE, I need to make some adjustments for comfort. One of the first needs to be changing the seat. This thing is HARD. And I find that I have forgotten some aspects of riding, like making corners. I wound up in the middle of the street when I didn't want to be a couple times. I only went about 3 miles. I did clime at least one of the area hills that worried me a little and made it up with no problem. There are a lot more hills in the area that are bigger and or steeper, and I not sure if the bike will clime them or not. Need more practice runs. For a short ride it was fun. I need to stop falling down when the ride is over.

    • @ShenRC
      @ShenRC  Před 2 lety

      Hi sorry to hear you fell, You will gain better balance after riding a few times and I would go to a open spot like a big parking lot or some place empty and just practice riding before going on to the street. as for the bike check out my last vivi bike video I show all my upgrades I think the seat I show will be good for you. Thanks for watching.

    • @lonelyp1
      @lonelyp1 Před 2 lety

      @@ShenRC Hi, I really like the parking lot suggestion thanks. I don't think the fall was a matter of balance. My legs just gave out on me. Like trying to stand on egg noodles. I got over it quick, but needed to use my car to stand up. I'm 5' 11" 220 lbs. Naturally I need to be able to pedal, but I want a cushy seat. The one it came with hurts my bum. I want to raise the handle bars some, even if I need a new stem to do it. The parking lot suggestion is great because I have no idea what gear the bike is in. And I did zero shifting, while I was out. I use to leave my 10 speed in 7th all the time. But that was when I was 18 or less.
