Seriously Xbox/Activision Blizzard needs to put WOW on gamepass and xbox. If they can add the subscription fee into gamepass or xbox gold/ultimate, the player count will explode
@@bjarnis Firstly I mainly play on PC and secondly WOW is a subscription services. Subscription services suck I agree, i rather buy the game and that it but it can be beneficial if its done correctly like gamepass, pay £7.99 per month for tons of games including new games instead of paying £60/70.

Ok, games folder missing fix. Step 1: Create folder on desktop, called "Games" Step 2: Create WoW folder on desktop Step 3: Create "New Folder" on desktop (I called mine retail as that is what i planned to download. Step 4: Click and drag "New Folder" into WoW folder. Then click and drag WoW folder into Games folder. Step 5: Open Dolphin, and on the List on the left, scroll down to Devices, and click on the one that says Home (This is not the Home at the top of the list, it is a small scroll down). Step 6: Click on the folder titled "Deck" in the Home folder. Step 7: Click and drag the "Games" folder on your desktop, and when the option comes up, "Move here" or something similar, click it. Your folder set up is now the same as Alex's in the video. This got the above video to work up to the 8:15 mark (still downloading at the time of posting this comment).
I had the same issue, but once I used the non steam launcher program to uninstall battle net and then reinstalled it, it shows up now. Hopefully this helps
Alex Steam deck vids are awesome. Extremely helpful and was a gateway for me for all his other content. Glad he keeps these coming tho! The morrowind guide had me playing that for weeks, this will do the same for wow now.
Thanks for this dude. Everything else ive watched was like 30 minutes worth of folder diving and stuff. Only issue i have, is after installing the launcher. It doesnt show up in my steam library anywhere.

When your pressing the steam button on the deck while your on the character screen your getting the steam overlay popping up (Maybe even when you press it just on the desktop you get the same thing?) - Any idea why the overlay wouldnt appear when im on the login screen in warcraft? my steam deck button in general just doesnt seem to do anything but bring up the keyboard with Button+X when in desktop mode, but works fine in game mode
Nice video. But I'm probably planning when WOW arrives on game pass & GeForce Now, I'm probably going to test how it would run on GeForce Now. Because sometimes I am skeptical on how it would run on a cloud service.

Hi! For some reason this doesn’t work for me. Reinstalled it lots of times, did fresh start a few times too, the launcher just doesn’t appear in steam. Tried doing two consequent installs without fresh starts and so on… I tried looking at Lutris but this looks way too complicated. What else I can try to make nonsteamlaunchers work for me? Upd: worked. Tried the same in a couple of days and everything is fine now. CurseForge works fine too. Now I think we all need a guide for configuring ConsolePort. Cuz my config is a bit silly but works somehow 😁
I got it to work. Add Firefox to your nonsteam library this should I think create the nonsteam library folder. You need to have nonsteam games already on your Steam for the install to show up.
I have literally no Games tab anywhere in dolphin under places. and i cannot figure out how to create one. and i guess this is not a usual issue for steam deck users cause theres no info online about why its missing or how to create one.
All I see when I look into it is a ton of people getting non-answers and no step by step. Tons of people in the comment section saying this too. Kind of ruins this entire guide when he just assumes everyone has that games folder.

It really ruins any chance alot of us have on getting it downloaded since its kinda difficult to navigate through linux to find where it gets downloaded ourselves if we dont have that tab. Not sure if its cause of the system we bought, idk if the amount of hard drive data you buy makes any difference on the tabs the system will have. Assume its all the same system tho. I only have the old 64gb one right now but planning to upgrade soon.
One hint. You could setup Shift as one extra button. That will give you access to more hot keys same as keyboard. Shift basicaly not doing nothing in WoW and used mostly for macros and hotkeys. In WoW for cofort gameplay need 20+ butons to press. So technically in become to some sort of Fighting simulator with combos :D So make as better for you.

It opened initially, but after exiting and trying to get back in, there’s an update required. Once clicked, it says “We couldn’t access a folder. This is usually because you’re not logged in as an administrator.” Any tips of fixing this? Thanks!
@@QueckSilber87 The curse addon for controller users works just fine. Never got around to making the video because life. But all you have to do is install curse and the addons are in a searchable menu.

I love this tutorial but I don't agree with the controls. I highly suggest just installing the addon "console port" with curseforge. Getting curseforge installed is a relatively straight forward process if you made a wow folder. If not curse forge will have to scan. Consoleport will map all of your controls and change the UI to be more controller friendly. It obviously isn't 100% perfect, but I've had a really good time using it. It even maps some of your skills for you

This worked fine till after clicking g on the Play button. It flashed to blue like it was launching, went back to Green, flipped back to blue and didn't bring up the pop up to login to my Blizz account.

Same thing happened to me but I fixed it by going back to gaming mode and launching it from there like any other game, then went back to desktop and it worked.

So when I try to open battle net it says cancel, then stop, then goes back the play and doesn’t open battle net. I tried uninstalling and trying again but no luck. Any one have any ideas ?
Well now I got past Bnet not opening and have run into the problem when I try to log into battle net it tells me to log in through the browser which brings me to steams log in
My install started doing this today as well. If I click 'Play' it shows a steam loader for a sec then goes back to the launcher with the 'Play" button. How did you get past it?

If I get steam deck soon imma do this! but this reminds me of people saying "PC ELITIST you can just plug my BIG pc with windows OS and use X-input program and can controller no need for Xbox WoW" yall miss THE POINT.. I probably can emulate WoW on my XSX.. but besides the point... I already did controller x-input (non native) on laptop in living room.. and Steam deck is probably similar.. It won't be NATIVE support controller... and we WANT Xbox XSX woW like we got FF14 xbox its HUGE addition. No need for Windows OS or non-native controller support ( big deal ) or keyboard or BIG pc in living room, no need for any of that if you like console in living room gaming, on ONE UI / OS xbox os, easy to use, easy to have in living room, just controller for ALL games. It's different than just PC with non-native controller support in living room. DIFFERENT. Thanks though for Steam Deck guide, I love more ways to play WoW!! no Xbox elitism here!
Easiest way is have a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard. Im hoping Diablo 4 works since i dont want to pay 70 dollars on Steam and its on Game pass but its letting me download in a snail way for some reason 🐌
I need some advice with this. I have the game downloaded on my hard drive on the steam deck. When I go to load the game it plays through the beginning scenes The Rock dude and the dragon. Then when it goes to character select page to load the realm it crashes every time what can I do. I selected the fix bug and scan repair for game still does the same thing

Hi. Is there a way to separate the Settings? I'd like to Farm and 5 man on SteamDeck but want to Raid on PC. Same Char, different devices and Setups. Any possibility to Switch seamless without fiddeling Options/Keybinds/macros and such?

Yeh it doesn't work. Followed the video exactly and nothing is clickable in battlenet... Even when pressing steam button or using touch screen
Try holding the steam button while moving mouse and clicking

Had to do it like 15 times before it showed up on my steam library then i couldn't log in i had to go in game mode to log in😵

Retail wow has some cool settings for the camera to make it feel more action like. This would be great to try with the Steam Deck.

starting to think this is impossible :( . I cannot find the installation folder. The game runs but there is non way to add any addons or console controls. How do u add a new folder,,i can do it on the desktop, but not in any game folder.. any help will be greatly appreciated. This is one of the better videos ive seen but ther are holes on the actual folder selection.. Been a dedicated wow player for wellover a decade but this is too hard.

Where the heck is the addons folder? I want console port and the addon folder on that location doesn't put them in the game.
So when I try to open battle net it says cancel, then stop, then goes back the play and doesn’t open battle net. I tried uninstalling and trying again but no luck. Any one have any ideas ?
Well now I got past Bnet not opening and have run into the problem when I try to log into battle net it tells me to log in through the browser which brings me to steams log in
My install started doing this today as well. If I click 'Play' it shows a steam loader for a sec then goes back to the launcher with the 'Play" button. How did you get past it?
@@mhvideo2024 I just uninstalled and reinstalled, also updated proton-ge in the non stream launcher where you pick bnet

yall miss THE POINT.. I probably can emulate WoW on my XSX.. but besides the point... I already did controller x-input (non native) on laptop in living room.. and Steam deck is probably similar..
It won't be NATIVE support controller... and we WANT Xbox XSX woW like we got FF14 xbox its HUGE addition. No need for Windows OS or non-native controller support ( big deal ) or keyboard or BIG pc in living room, no need for any of that if you like console in living room gaming, on ONE UI / OS xbox os, easy to use, easy to have in living room, just controller for ALL games. It's different than just PC with non-native controller support in living room. DIFFERENT.

Easiest way is have a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard. Im hoping Diablo 4 works since i dont want to pay 70 dollars on Steam and its on Game pass but its letting me download in a snail way for some reason 🐌

I need some advice with this. I have the game downloaded on my hard drive on the steam deck. When I go to load the game it plays through the beginning scenes The Rock dude and the dragon. Then when it goes to character select page to load the realm it crashes every time what can I do. I selected the fix bug and scan repair for game still does the same thing

Battle net doesnt sbow up in my library. Also we dont have the games folder.
when i double click on the download it doesnt ask me about starting a program it opens something different.

When can you tell that app is hang ? I mean does it take a min or two ? Five or six mins ? Im not getting error msg just stands on Downloading & Installing. I did cancel it quite a few times and it just stands there for me :/ any tip ? Btw wached few of your videos, awesome job man, keep up 🤟
