The Mass of the Resurrection is written by popular composer and arranger Randall DeBruyn. Oregon Catholic Press has the following to say about DeBruyn: "[He] is an accomplished composer, arranger and pianist with more than 50 years of experience. In all his writing, the goal is to inspire worship of God through music, the heavenly language... He worked for OCP for more than 30 years, most as executive editor of English-language missals and hymnals. He was the editor of many hymnals, most recently Journeysongs, Third Edition. In his retirement, he continues to serve as a member of OCP’s music selection committee... Some of his most beloved compositions are 'In Perfect Charity,' 'The Lord Is My Light,' and 'How Lovely Is Your Dwelling Place.' "
Oregon Catholic Press, or OCP, describes this traditional setting this way: "Draw your parishioners deeper into the liturgy with these simple, strong melodies that illuminate the Order of Mass texts. Founded on the familiar "Duke Street" hymn, Randall's new setting is suitable for any size congregation.
The classical melodies will guide your parishioners in solemn reflection to help them better identify with their faith and strengthen their relationship with Christ. Whether it’s the inspirational “Glory to God” or the soft, reflective “Lamb of God,” these songs will fill your heart and lift your soul."
Find this setting in OCP's Breaking Bread, Today's Missal, and Heritage Missal, as well as the Journeysongs Hymnal (3rd Edition).
