Father, I too smile when we push in to fill the pews. I think of as a young person, (I’m 63) how we were like sardines! I can’t even wrap my brain around our great losses during “COVID”. I hope and pray we never lose our church again.
Hopefully we never give our church up again. Note, the state and the alcoholics didn't give up on the bars and liquor stores. We as Christians should never give up.

Your full church with many people standing is a testament to the yearning the faithful have to hear a complete gospel message. You speak with courage and conviction, in specific and understandable ways and in a manner that challenges and inspires those smart enough to pay close attention. Biden's behavior is incredibly despicable and we should be praying for him.
Thank you Father. You are blessed with the gift to preach and teach. God is working thru you in an amazing way because look at how packed the Parish was. My goodness,that is a good sign ppl are beginning to heed Gods voice,see the signs and are concerned about their soul.

They crowd together because of the Priest who is delivering the news of God here among us……our church had 11 total in congregation today.
How awesome to have standing room only! Sadly, my church of over 3500 families, no longer fills up like that even on Christmas or Easter. Also awesome that one of the Eucharistic Pilgrimages will stop at your town. I personally can't wait to march in the Eucharistic procession in Indianapolis!! I pray that a million-billion Catholics converge and show their love for Jesus!!

Great homily, Father Mike, as always. 1. I recall hearing the St. Augustine story a looooong time ago. I'm still intrigued by it. 2. I've always wondered and even asked the question of protestants: "You say you believe in the Holy Trinity, but you refuse to make the sign of the cross... why?" As you said Father, it is a Trinitarian prayer. God Bless!

Really full church, now faithfull men, how can you allow a woman with a child in her arms to be standing and you are comfortable sitting.
Consider the possibility that the mother knew she could manage her child best by standing. Perhaps she was offered a seat and declined because her child needs to be rocked in her arms to be soothed.
I pray for Biden every day. Only God can judge him but we are allowed to express fraternal loving correction and what he did at that rally is scandalous, irreligious and possibly heretical. When I pray for him I imagine that Mary is hugging him and I pray for his - and my! - deeper conversion.

God is love..how do you know that when you cannot even describe what a god is ..why would a god of love have a torture shed in his back yard..if he is so loving...free choice means no punishment if you choose no 2 or no 3 or the multiple choices..amen
Father.. you said the world could exist without us (individually)..however. My understanding is that God created us individually for a single purpose that no one else can do.. if 1 individual person didn't exist.. would God still fulfil His purpose ..after 1 didn't individually exist ? I believe the point Fr. Mike was making is that God did not have to create any one of us. The number and types of creatures are part of His design. He could certainly fulfill his plan any number of ways with or without us.

Please pray for Father Mike - and please pray for me - thank you all for posting this - please pray for or President - Biden has said many times he doesn't support abortion through his faith - he supports it through his interpretation of the Constitution - my faith tells me that he might have made the sign of the cross at the abortion rally because his heart was being ripped from his chest - I'm not to judge him though - but, please let's pray for our President - and the leadership of the church, that others may come to know our Lord Jesus Christ through his Church, and pray especially for this super hero priest Father Mike -
There is enough political division, the church should not be adding to it. I expect better from it.
The Church must advocate against murder of the unborn, whether it's politically correct or fits your desire.
Abortion is a moral issue, not a political one.
