1:01 is my personal favorite
0:02 As a Japanese, I'm very glad they use あ! (あ is basically A for Japanese)
Marketing-wise, it makes sense. Now instead of just having 1 logo to buy souvenirs of, people might buy 2, 3, 5+ of the same item just because of the different designs. I don't expect anything less from America though, the only thing that matters here is making as much money as possible. My question is what is the "default" design; i.e. if it's printed in magazines or other media where changing designs is impossible, which version gets used?
The one in the channel profile pic I presume
@@Win090949 That logo might also be used for outfits at athletes, and I guess on the boards at stadiums, and banners they would have lime black pattern.
From what I've seen at Logopedia, there IS a common "A", which matches the logo's font...
I thanks it's the 0:48 one.
considering how the
1984 LA olympics
were one of the most
design forward games held,
this emblem
has alot to live up to.
can we see second place?
@NOlympics LA
design elements from this NOlympicsLA post, remain a integral component to LA'84's "spartan" approach in hosting (a successful) olympic games.
rather than bankrupt a host city's coffers creating multi-million dollar architectural white elephants,
LA taxpayers vocally spoke against such spending throughout the 1984 bid,
(won by default-at a juncture where no other city bid- primarily due to the then recent host cities overspending, political, & terrorism issues, sound familiar?).
spackle, paint, & bunting were the '84 LAOOC's motto.
the cost of cardboard "tubes",
scaffolding, & banners created in the LA'84 festive federalism aesthetic, were comparatively inexpensive, beautified the city, exiating venues, & to some extent, were largely auctioned off post the '84 closing ceremonies.
yeah, the olympics needs LA
more than vice versa.
despite their imperfections,
the games remain one of the few events that serve to unite the planet.
to my knowledge, the ioc host city contract does not require a town to build sparkling new venues. it is usually the host city itself that goes overboard constructing stadiums, civic projects etc., for a two week sporting event.
the rose bowl, colesium, sofi stadium, dignity health sports park, banc of california stadium etc.-all within metropolitan LA underscore how venue rich & games ready
the city is.
we resuscitated the games before...we can do it again.
“あ” is “A” of Japanese.
thx
発想が素晴らしい
This is one of the most satisfying LA emblem animation logo ,they even put Japanese hiragana for ” あ"

@LA28 so, if the LA28 logo is a mixed variant aswell being the first logo to be have more than one type Is the mascot branding and the theme song of LA28 is also a mixed type aswell being more than one type too ?
I believe there would be several mascots as in the case with Beijing 2008 games.
This emblem absolutely soooo fantastic! Can't wait to witness history! NBC comes home to la for USA games in 8 years
NBC was founded in NYC tho...
@@Neo_Turbo But he meant that they would come home to America, and NBC would be host broadcaster, filming opening, closing and sports events in 8K (I guess that would be standard by that time).
0:20 diseño Dia de los muertos - México 🇲🇽🥰

The branding is absolutely amazing. Mixed type makes so much sense for this dynamic logo. LA represents so many things and this certainly embodies the culture. Great work!!!!
2021 comrades waiting for 2028 to tell fellas: feel old yet?
There's only 32 versions of A. 34 makes sense though since it's the 34th summer olympic games.
0:17 is my favourite

2021 comment here!
It need a mascot
CAN SOMEONE EXPLAIN EVERY LETTER A'S!
Represents the diversity of cultures in LA
honestly i kind of like these logos. sure some of them are not great but its a creative way to add some interest to the logo itself, bc lets be honest the olympic logos aren’t usually all that great
at least the venues are nice.

It's not as formal but it's fun and dynamic. As the impression I have of LA. I'm gonna be 27 by then. I'm excited!🤩
I dont like putting the city name in the logo itself. Having the name underneath would be finez but this seems very centered towards a city rather than the entire world to see
I liked the one that best represents Los Angeles 0:48
But also the one with the Day of the Dead papel picado representing the Mexican community in Los Angeles 0:20.
its good. But I cant understand why あ is treated as A.
Animation
あ is A in Japanese
Why Mexican and Japanese style?
Because There’s a big Mexican and Japanese population in Los Angeles.
There’s also Armenian, Chinese, Russian, Salvadoran, Guatemalan, Thai, Filipino, and Korean population. Not to mention all the famous and historical black figures to come from Los Angeles.
It’s a giant melting pot with a rich history.
One static logo could never do the place justice.
L.A has large Hispanic and Asian communities.
Because, we are a multi-cultural society. You become #1 by turning no good talent away.
Å
Hideous!
Am I the only one who doesn't like the concept?
The ugliest and worst Summer Olympic Games logo of all time 👎💩🤮
There are 26 of them, which one did you preferred to?
2024 & 2012 was the worst, 2028 is creative
Just terrible
