@@TheColdestBoi Unlike the Cassowary, Shoebills aren't really that aggressive, despite the fairly mean-looking stare they give. Unless you get too close to their nests with eggs or young ones, Shoebills are more curious but cautious, so if you remain calm and approach it slowly (or let it approach you), you might be able to get very close to a fascinating, yet endangered bird. Because of it's size, the Shoebill doesn't have a lot of natural enemies, the Nile Crocodile and the occasional stalking feline might snatch up a fledgling here or there, but because the adult bird can fly and it's up to 60 inches in height, it doesn't have any flying predators that can take it mid-flight.

super late reply, but bird eyes are much larger compared to their skulls than human eyes, and are often semi-elliptical , which both make them hard to move. this led to them developing an incredibly keen sense of balance and the ability to keep their head steady, as their eyes can't make minor adjustments, so without the ability to keep their heads level and move smoothly they would be unable to focus their vision.

Well, listening to a shoebill stork’s mating call sure gives you the chance to hear one. This gigantic bird looks as though it came from some prehistoric dinosaur time.
The shoebill stork, also known as the whale-headed stork, or shoe-billed stork, is a big grey bird scientifically named as Balaeniceps Rex.
Shoebill storks are found in marshes, wetlands, and swampy areas in eastern Africa. Spotting one of these giant dinosaur-like birds on a safari tour is undoubtedly a must-see.
