Following James' and Kid Colombia's (Hustlekidz) loss against SMAC 19 in the World Bboy Classic qualifiers, James let Machine and Gun know he did not agree with their decision, who both voted for SMAC 19. After some back and forth talk, Machine called out James to battle it out. Glad I was able to capture this heated exchange!

Man, I remember watching machine dance when he was just getting started at a bboy showcase heald at the local high school. Nobody had ever heard of him but he was fire then, and he's still fire now. Everyone lost their mind when he jumped from his feet to his head without the support of his hands and then slid for like six feet, like it was yesterday but it was almost 20 years ago. Let this be a lesson to all you Europeans and anybody outside the States who do not understand the mentality and concept of being called out or, calling a judge out on a decision. You had Machine calling out this guy and barking in his face and then finally when you take your backpack off you're over here politicking about who goes first ??? It's a call out !! There is no " you go first."
You take the initiative to prove your stripes in battle.
I had the battle even up until the second round and not only did Machine roast this guy till the end but he either ran out of moves or he just didn't really want that smoke no more. Which is why you keep your mouth shut if you don't got what it takes to take a call out seriously. Surprisingly enough though, Kid Colombia has actually taken some call out battles in the past and has actually had won given that he is a power mover. Not many power heads are willing to take a call out because within three rounds they start repeating moves or run out of power sets.
Respect Machine from Los Angeles. I remember watching him back in the day when he killed Brahim in BC One 2005.

I donât know the situation, Iâd guess that machine voted against this dude in a battle as a judge, dude ran his mouth, and machine decided to teach a lesson. The only reason this throw down was close was because machine got away from his magic, his connection to the music, and didnât break it all the way down to the source of what makes a master of this art.
