His style and pace produced fireworks against Lopes'. Ortega would've made it more of a grappling showdown. Here we got bombs on the feet AND elite grappling on the ground.
I love Ige for this but Ortega v Lopes would’ve been more exciting IMO. Just because both guys are willing to be reckless, I also wanted to see their potential grappling exchanges, both guys chase submissions so there would be many scrambles. Ige was a lot more measured and didn’t open up a lot. Smart move, but didn’t make for a more exciting fight.
Hes called 50K for a reason but should be way higher of a bonus
Oh he got paid, for sure boss. He was their only option. Because he was fighting in 3 weeks and was already licensed, he was able to take the fight. Happy that he got it too!

Because both were black belts, and the prebious grappling, excluding the flyweight early relic fight, were stalling with nothing happening. Ige and Lopes were always doing something.
Their exchange is progressive and active, not just some boring control, even ige bounced diego's head office canvas with the strike on the ground
