FREE VST/AU Synthesizer: Full Bucket Music Tricent (Korg Trident Emulation) | SYNTH ANATOMY

Full Bucket Music has today released Tricent, an emulation of the Korg Trident Synthesizer. It's a free VST/AU Synthesizer plugin for PC/Mac with no limation and doesn't require any special registration procedures.

This guy makes these synths as a hobby, still has a regular day job, gives them away for free, and somehow manages to do a better job than Arturia who presumably have an entire team of developers working full time on theirs.
Thats the difference between being motivated by passion and a paycheck.

I own 2 korg tridents and i can't believe how perfect this plugin is if you know how to program the trident and this plugin are one of the best sounding synths ever it reproduces the amazing oscillator and filter sound perfectly.

I played the Trident in the KORG showroom around 1980. Of course I couldn't buy it, but this VST brought back memories of that time. Trident can't make any unusual sounds, but the depth of sound is unmatched by any other synthesizer.

Just discovered ya'll I'm having so much fun with these, and I cannot thank you enough for these awesome au components that works very well and smooth with my Logic pro. Used to use Synth1 a lot, but it would always crash the daw I use. Now I'll play with this instead. Really digging the sounds of the Trident

Holy crap, just noticed this on the site! Had heard of this synth but never heard much of it, nice to see an emu and sounds amazing and drifty!! Thanks! I downloaded it for Mac, installed it, installation was successful, but now I can’t find it anywhere on my Mac. What is it called because Tricent is not bringing up anything?

It's not standalone but a VST/AU plugin. So normally if you load your DAW, it must work fine there

@@jimrunfola go to your plugins on the left side and search in the VST or Audio Units folder for Tricent. You need to double click it to load it otherwise it doesn't appear in Ableton Live

I installed it on my Mac, and it shows up in Reaper. I searched for Tricent in Finder and it found the file in the "normal" place: /Library/Audio/Plug-ins/VST
