I purchased the 8x8 in May 2022 after watching your review. I love it! The mat is easy to fold and roll up to put back in the bag. I also purchased the Ballast pillow. It’s a perfect accessory to the mat. I enjoy your reviews and appreciate the work you put into them.

This thing will exfoliate the hell out of your butt. I recommend using it as you did just to keep entrances sand free.
Kinda rough is an understatement!
Word of advice, don't take this mat out on a really windy day. Made that mistake and by the end of the beach day, a ton of sand settled in between the two layers. It was impossible to shake off with how heavy it got. We had to cut upen a hole to allow is to pour the sand out.

I never knew such a thing existed.
They even have a Sand-Free Mat made specifically for drones. It has a big H in the center, like a landing pad for a helicopter.

Does it get hot?
It warms up a bit when it's in the hot sun all day, but it's never felt hot to me.
Over a $100 for a 10x13, Bidenomics has shut off my spending.
Get the drone pad version on clearance or on prime day. It's a smaller version of the orange mat with an landing print on it. But it will cost half the price. Most people don't realize it's exactly the same thing but cheaper during summer season when everyone else keeps searching for beach mats.
