    BEST flying foam Corsair in the planet !
    Flightline should get a medal 🏅 for bringing such a killer Corsair to all us Warbird fans..Bubble top or the Birdcage variant, you simply have to own this airplane if you fly foam electric and love WWll warbirds !
    Rich, that was one great save, when you got smacked on the canopy by that wind 👍

    Great work Rich....thanks for not editing out when the wind freaked you out a little. My instructor when I learned to fly told me that if I waited for a perfect day, I'd never fly. To see a pilot of your caliber get pushed around a bit makes the rest of us sport pilots feel a little better!

      @@mikessi Too often with too many models the horns on the servos are too long and it kills all the resolution because people dial the travel back... In most cases it's better to have the arm shorter and have more travel to take advantage of all the fine control of the resolution of the servo:)

    Great flight review !
    Keep this bird out of the sun between flights if you can , a big FMS sun shade works, dark foam planes tend to get a " gator skin " look from the heat .
    Fun fun warbird ! Flightline and freewing has really brought some excellent planes and edf's to foam fans!

    Rick - Glad to see you! GREAT Video as always. I agree that Flightline hit it out of the park on this bird. The quality and finish is unbelievable, no gatoring out of the box and you even have to look close to see it's foam. I got the Bubble Top just before the price increase and it's one of my favorites. I'm going to follow your suggestion of adding more weight to move my CG forward. This bird is so visually pleasing to fly especially with gear down on a carrier approach. Thanks for sharing! Good Flying!

    • @RCINFORMER
      @RCINFORMER  Před 5 lety +3

      They are about a draw... That being said, the FMS 1700mm Corsair has a slightly more scale feel, possibly because it is bigger. The problem that the FMS 1700mm Corsair has is that it is nearly 10 years old and it is simply and older design.... I may have to do a comparison video of the two planes in a future video:) There should be a FMS V2 Corsair coming out here soon:)

    Hi Rich, great review thanks. I bought one of these V3 Corsairs and have been trying to figure out a servo anomaly. With everything hooked up in the proper way the flaps servos don’t work. Everything else does. When swapping the flap servo pigtail into the elevator receiver slot the flaps do work. Then checking the receiver slot itself for the slaps, spare servo do work. So the receiver it is good. Just wondering if you know of a discussion line this elsewhere and if there is a workaround. Thanks!

      @@rogerd4559 It is a little odd to see these days but most american war birds of that era only had 1 landing light on the left wing. They also were not always mounted in the leading edge of the wing on early models but rather in an 8 inch diameter retractable lens on the bottom of the wing usually near the landing gear doors.

      I like the newness of the FL CORSAIR and it's more modern/current design.... it is also less expensive & flys great! That being said, I prefer the slightly larger size and scale flying characteristics of the FMS 1700MM Corsair, but it is a nearly 10 year old design. To add even more to the chaos, FMS will be releasing a V3 1700mm Corsair soon! It will probably blow the doors off of any other corsair out there, However it will be a larger but more expensive airplane as well:)
