'He was a bright spot in the lives of all who knew him,' they write. 'His loss will leave such a big hole in our lives that it takes our breath away. The heartbreak that Garrison and Gabe displayed over their broken relationship with their father was almost too much to watch. Kody was a terrible parent to those boys fighting over his petty Covid rules and allowing that to sever his relationship with them. He then blamed them for the rift. What kind of a despicable person does that? And now Kody can never make things right with Garrison. How can he live with that? So so sad. My condolences to Janelle and her kids and the extended family. Maybe it’s time to end this show for good.
And Gabe, who found Garrisons body, will never forgive his father for this tragedy!
Kody acted like an absolute idiot over Covid! Obviously never doing any research. I just think it gave him a good excuse to stay at home with only Robyn!

My heart breaks tonight. We started seeing Robert as a little boy and watched him grow and become a man with a huge heart. We didn't know him, but it felt like we did. As I have read comment after comment across many platforms tonight, I see the same thing, "I cried when I saw the news". The last few years, Robert showed us the amazing man he had become. Just 6 days ago, he shared a senior kitty, Ms. Buttons that he rescued from euthanasia.
My heart breaks for Gabe. My mind keeps going back to the Gabriel interview heard round the world when he talked about Kody calling him on his birthday but never mentioning it to him. We watched him break down. Tonight, I feel that pain over and over as I realized that interview showed us a small glimpse of the pain he felt today when he found Robert. The agony, the questions, the horror that he will never erase.
My heart breaks for Janelle who was so proud and an amazing Mama Bear when it came to her kids. To Robert's other siblings, and moms, and nieces and nephews - you are not alone in your grief.
Robert Garrison, I'm so sorry you were hurting. I'm so sorry you felt like you were at your end. Fly High Sweet Boy.

Your insight into the fact that at the moment he felt that suicide was the only answer is something that most people need to understand about dying by suicide. Suicide doesn't end the pain, it just passes it on to the other people who loved the victim.
@@bmcagent He had also just bought his own car. Compared to most peers of his age, he was doing so well, way above and beyond average. I wonder what happened that led him to this decision.

Janelle never rejected or walked away from any of her kids & Christine was there for moral support to her kids half siblings. You hear Janelle on video acknowledging the boys mental health. The father chose to ignore mental health, he publicly humiliated them. He even carried his grown adopted daughter like a baby over a anxiety attack.
They are responsible for this. These women chose to be in this relationship with Cody well over 20 plus years. They have as much responsibility for this as Cody. They chose to raise these kids in a f up lifestyle. All the kids are deeply impacted by their mothers and father choices. These adults are disgusting. Cancel the damn show. Their greed is responsible for the loss of this boy.

Cody was pretty cold to those boys and you can hear the hurt and anger in Garrison's voice. He was trying to be strong in front of everyone by saying we don't need a father anymore. But he was the one that needed that stability at a deeper level.

He made it clear- the family and his original children were “getting in the way” of what he wanted with Rob’em and HER kids. No matter how old you get, hearing your father say that would be heartbreaking. No, they don’t need Kody. But that doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt inside and that they still want him. They want him to choose them- to show them that he loves them. He is their father, afterall; albeit, an impressively shitty one).

As a mother of a young black man and as an adolescent inpatient psychiatric nurse, I'm aware that in this country, we are empowering the girls and neglecting our young men. In the case of Garrison, he also had to deal with the fact as a child, he had no choice with his life being made public. These rendered it difficult for him as he navigated his world. Because others have already decided on his character based on that TV show. My condolences to the family, and as a society moving forward, we need to start nurturing our young men more.

This is on Kody and Robyn. Once Kody got with Robyn he forgot about his other kids and just didn't seem to care. You could see the hurt in Janelle's two sons eyes and all the other kids when they talked about Kody. Never let anyone whether it be a new spouse like Robyn, or anyone come between you and your kids. Never let them create a wedge and divide you from your children. He could have called the boys and went over to see them and spent some good quality father/son bonding time with the boys, without Robyn, instead of using Covid as a sorry bs excuse. 🙄 Shame on you Kody and Robyn.
