Spot on with the nicer areas. All these neighborhoods are very beautiful and filled with trees and hills.. they don’t have that pancake feel of the newer suburbs where the roads are flat and you are driving through stretches of land to build something on.
I totally agree! Thanks for your feedback!
This was great! Thank you
You're so welcome!
Fantastic posting! Thank you :) So based on your video and being that I'm a single 40's professional guy looking for cool things to do, lots of art and music, good restaurants, cafes, and an all around hip/funky vibe- the Deep Ellum neighborhood might be my best bet to airbnb in the Dallas area? (this would be my first visit to the Dallas area). Or, would you say Bishop Arts?
YES!! Or Bishop Arts...Deep Ellum has more live music and is a 'louder' vibe but really fun. Bishop Arts is funky, artsy, walk around, drink coffee, shop, eat good food, take your dog type of vibe. So, they are different:)
Wow that’s great
Thank you!!
I recently discovered your channel while researching residential investment properties, and the information you provide is absolutely fantastic! Also, I wanted to know if the neighborhoods you mentioned in this particular post are all rental friendly or if any have restrictions.
most in Dallas are rental friendly. What we are seeing is that the newer subdivisions are the ones putting more restrictions in. Text me and I can help you find investment properties.
Very insightful video. Thank you!
Thank you! Are you moving here?
I'm moving to Dallas in a few weeks will be working at Parkland Hospital downtown worried though many apartments have horrible reviews about safety theft car break ins etc I was looking at apartments in and around medical district which had worst reviews I'm 44 don't really care about night life past that I'm looking for quiet, safe and good shops, restaurants and walkable these areas came up you mentioned just feeling overwhelmed moving from suburban area in Northern California that's very quiet safe walkable lots of restaurants and shopping wanna choose wisely will be renting.
downtown Dallas will always be higher crime rate than the suburbs. But, West Village is a safer place and there are some great apartments. Feel free to text me:)
I’m moving to Texas from LA and I’m thinking Dallas or SA. I’m 49 and I’m looking for peace n quiet, being in nature, being near lakes if possible n tree filled streets n near shops n restaurants. I’m planning to visit in Sept n planning my move Dec/Jan. But I don’t know what areas to live in thats suits me. Looking for 1bedroom apt with all amenities 🙏🏽💓😊
flower mound...not too far from downtown, very close to airport but still family oriented and not trapped in suburban trap...
Flower Mound is on our list to do!! :)
Goodluck
Thank you!
I need help finding an apartment in Dallas. I’m transferring from chewy NC to Chewy Dallas Tx any help would be appreciated.
Hey Nita, we can definitely help you! Can you email me?
@@lifeindallasfortworth I just did. Thank you
How bout Oak Cliff? That's where I wanna live.
That’s a GREAT idea!! We will put it on the list!!
avoid anything with a foresty name if you can!!! not a good area. im not familiar with dallas myself but i have a buddy who knows it like the back of her hand (works the ambulance) and she says oak cliff is a bad neighbourhood.
Preston Hollow = more home and much bigger lots for half the price the same home would cost in the Park Cities. The Park Cities (Highland/University Park) are expensive because of the school district, and HPISD, and not because of the home value or property/lot size. During school integration, HPISD fought against integrating the Park Cities, thus causing the prices to go up, still to this day. Minorities are less visible in the school district but the schools are more integrated than at any other point in HPISD's history in 2023. The drawback of PH, the school district is zoned to DISD. If you plan to send your children to or want public schools, the zoning is DISD, Hillcrest HS I believe. However, most PH residents probably are going to send their kids to one of the top-ranked private schools in the neighborhood, from Jesuit, Hockaday, St. Marks, Episcopal, etc. Plenty to choose from.
Thank you for all of that! What a help to people wanting to understand the area:)
Do you help ppl find rental homes?
Yes! Email me your cell number and we will call you.
@@lifeindallasfortworth Alright I will. I’m not looking to move until June and I’m not looking for a big home to rent either.
i feel like you're not really touching upon safety. deep ellum is beautiful but its in no way safe at night. you need street smarts to live in downtown dallas, not just some landlords sale pitch.
All of dallas is that way. And I lived down there and would go out at night regularly. Just not by myself. And I will always suggesst to stay aware of your surroundings no matter where you are:)
Be ready for BRUTAL SUMMER HEAT, 112° +
LOL...it for sure can be rough. But, I can put up with it for 70 degrees in January!
This is literally like the worst list for where a family would want to live in DFW area.
Where would you suggest?
@@lifeindallasfortworth No, I like my place crime free....
For someone from Europe who has Family in Dallas, American Cities are a big mess. All areas looks death and Abandoned by people. These Cities are made for cars and not for people to walk
But some of the places looks nice, Like University Park
I actually agree. Cities are hard to keep pretty. But, there are so many nice areas here.
Um no not deep ellum. Unless you like danger
From 1-10 how dangerous exactly from your own personal experiences

I think danger in Dallas is relative. When you choose to live ‘in the city’ there is always more crime than suburbs. I lived close to Deep Ellum for 6 years. Just like living in any downtown area you have to take precautions. 😊
@@lifeindallasfortworth Agreed and every big city has their problems. I really don’t believe that Dallas is that bad compared to Chicago, Houston or Atlanta
@@deronr7560 totally agree!
Settle in dallas
