I like this storyline, but you can't deny the whole is not equal to the sum of the parts. The writer fails to tell a coherent tale with flow (it's like when you have an idea that's just a single image, ie. a space armada poised for battle, then just stick it into the book - where it remains an image or idea, it doesn't add to or facilitate the narrative to move faster, it grinds along to the next stand alone image or idea). Roy Thomas was like that for me. And Neal Adams was at his most abstract, competing with the likes of Jim Steranko for the (not so) coveted "That's not sequential art telling a story, it's fashion photography!" award.
i would build a wall around the avengers mansion and the baxter build. i wouldn't take their nonsense. i like mar-vell with the silver hair better. do you know why they switched to blonde? easier for the colorist? cheaper? TIA i would give future smelly bree larson 7 thumbs up for sticking up for her pal. i would fire jarvis as well as the vision. put him right out on the street. maybe the 2 of them can go to the same bowrey mission as submariner
I’m sure Jack Monroe probably spent a few nights at the same homeless shelter. Mar-Vell went blonde in Captain Marvel #29 when Eon made him Protector of the Universe. It was to symbolise his rebirth. When Eon made Quasar his Protector of the Universe, he was transformed as well but only into wearing a new costume.
This was a great period for Avengers. Things were really starting to coalesce. Gorgeous cover! I love video reviews by Son of Nimrod!
Despite it's legacy, it apparently sold very poorly back in the day.
Good issue. Great cover. How many of these people are later retconned into Space Phantoms or Skrulls?
All of them except Thing.

Certainly can't compete with the dizzying highs of Steve Englehart's Mantis epic!!
