What Noah said was what gripped me and locked me into this show - that these Bible characters weren’t characters, they were people like me. Jesus wasn’t attended by servants who catered to his every need, he made his bed, slept, brushed his teeth, used his hands. Seeing that come alive on the screen shifted my way of seeing the incarnation.
"People like me" is exactly what we were going for. Thanks for joining us on this journey!
Yes, me too. I've had a tendency of thinking that I needed to live a perfect life for God and that has really stressed me out as a mom. But seeing "The Chosen" has really helped me. When I look around my home and I see toys strewn everywhere, children have wedged my shoes under the dishwasher, my shirt's covered in puree & formula, the laundry is piled up waiting for things to be folded, I remember, because of "The Chosen," that Jesus came into this world -- my world -- even though it isn't perfect, and He still loves me in all my mess.

A request for Mr Dallas Jenkins.. When the story of Yeshua (Jesus) is finish is it possible that you can make a few episodes of how the disciples went on and died. The Chosen has made me get to know these men and I feel that we don't always realize how important a role they played in The Faith. Please I don't think a movie was ever made of them, because no one has ever made them as real as the Chosen has.

We watch The Chosen SO much that while watching this video my 9-year-old son just said, "I wanna be in The Chosen as one of the kids that runs around!"

It seems these folks were chosen to play the characters of this movie before the director chose them. It opened them up to receive and then foward God's important message.

Where is Simon Peter???? I long to see an interview with him. We watched the whole first season and my 12 yr old daughter confessed, "Mom, I see myself reflected in Peter", it just brought me to tears😭

You have found a way to bring these historic Biblical figures to life. We know they lived. We know they are just like us but living in a different time period. But, like the one actor said, to see them experience the elements like we do makes the history come to life in an unexpected way. I can absolutely relate to them. And to see that the people of that time that were the chosen by The Chosen being brought to life is a humbling experience as I consider that I too have been chosen, not because I am or have been worthy in any way, but because God has by His mercy chosen me. It still does and probably always will astonish me that He has called me out to be one of His followers. For sure it is Amazing Grace.

Michigan Morningstar amen and I honestly feel the same way that God would choose me I grew up Christian also but when we were young we were in and out of church and my father became saved at about 36 years old and can't believe he was that young but anyway you know we our whole life changes wonderful and so was it perfect Christian Life but I love churches a teenager and wow I mean I love going to church but then I married the wrong person and we didn't go to church and my life went crazy for a lot of years really when I was 49 years old I realized I had been making all the wrong choices and so that for God to have mercy on me and allow me as the prodigal to come home to him and let's start again was one of the most awesome things of your experience in my life I got saved at 6:00 but this experience when I was 49 was almost I don't even know how to explain it but it changed my life and I love the war and telling people and going to church and having lots of friends and we consider each other family at our church I mean we have I don't know Church of about a $100 150 I don't know my brother is actually the pastor and he's very good pastor I don't say that cuz he's my brother but he's compassionate and kind and generous from the church and he himself is very generous and we have no bills we have money in the bank and our church buys cars for people sometimes not new cars but we really do take care of each other you know what's the need can we provide that is do we need a miracle I find those things important that we really do understand that all the God does for us is truly a miracle because we don't deserve any of it and he and his great mercy and compassion calls us to himself that's pretty incredible

This is a much anticipated conversation. The Chosen has impacted me and millions of fans across the world. I believe it is impossible not to be moved and changed by the truth portrayed in such an authentic way. Many of us have assumed the cast and crew are also getting new insights or having their faith impacted. It is so exciting to hear their perspectives and share this bond of experiencing Jesus in new ways. Can’t wait to hear the rest of this conversation!

You are truly my brothers and sisters in Christ. I was given "John" at my birth and my father, a Lutheran Minister, never let me forget it was John the Disciple. My father was "Ralph" (which he hated his name) but is a healing angel. My son I called Zachariah and my son Michael. They are my sons of thunder and I identify with Zebedee.
I'm proud of this series. You can be charismatic (I guess because I am just to conservative to let people know my inner self), you can be conservative, you can be an unbeliever. But something in this series will talk to you. If you have ears, hear!
Only 5:51 minutes here in Australia. disappointed. I was loving "shy, compliant, follow the leader" Andrew's (Noah) explosive relationship to his new found relationship with the "real people" of the gospels. From the beginning I have loved this show, shared it and recommended it, have just suggested to a mate of mine (we are both Viet vets living in different States here in Aussie) who has been receiving chemo for cancer; i spoke to him yesterday and told him the greatest gift I could ever give him was the gospel of Jesus Christ and the hope and promise of a life eternal without pain and fear; I told him to watch The Chosen and let God be his guide. Thank God we Ministers (current or retired) have this wonderful "tool" to spread the gospel God Bless Dallas and Crew.
YES!! What Noah pointed out was exactly what I was thinking while watching The Chosen !! When I read in the scriptures like "Jesus told Matthew to follow him, so Matthew got up and followed him", it just sounds so "plain". But seeing the verses come to life-- where Matthew is all like "Me?! You want ME to follow You?" It makes me read the Word so much more differently! These were all humans who had reactions and emotions. I keep this in mind now whenever I'm reading the Bible.

I grew up in a catholic family, became less and less religious, but still was a believer; however I have been over 13 years from one challenge to the other and I literally crying asked “God can’t you see me” or “God, I am not the only one in this world, why me”? Last week during a meeting I share my tribulations with a woman who told me what he the Chosen season 2 episode 2. I saw myself, looking at the floor plans of my son’s and my sister’s house that I lost and all the sacrifices my son and I have made. I went back and started watching season one. I can’t wait for season three. Thank you for this wonderful show.

I love that Jesus compels us to focus on him, not our denominations - and that He inspires to love for his apostles and the people in the stories - truly a lesson for loving the neighbors I encounter today - BRILLIANT!
I believed this would be apart of the coming revival we all have believed and prayed for and it is! I believe 1 billion people will come to know the living God!! God is on the move! This is what saying " YES" and taking risks can do. Thank you to all of the crew and of course Dallas. Will continue to pray for the billion to come to know Jesus and surrender to HIm. Praise God

Im just watching the series very attentively as part of my way back love Jesus with all my heart again. I cant thank you enough for this great performance! Everyone's acting makes me really realize how imperfect all of the disciples really were and how Jesus came to their lives just on time to rescue them from their chaotic, miserable lives that were away from God. A real encounter with Jesus is what all of us need, and such a portrait of that in this show is soul refreshing. May God bless you all!
I don't care about all the negativity some people say about how the directors added content to what the Bible say. I have felt the Holy Spirit touching my heart every episode when Scripture is quoted. Keep the hard work. I bet millions are reconnecting with Christ because of the episodes!

My family are all Greek Orthodox and we absolute love and support the chosen and the way you have interpreted scripture!! It truly is a wonderful show and a few months back after church on Sunday we would watch a couple of episodes via the app, and we were honestly in tears every time! We paid it forward too... Jesus speaks to our hearts people, remember that. I doesn't matter how things 'appear' from the outside...our Jesus always saw the heart of people, not the exterior... Ironically it is a rigid mind that only sees the outward things. Nothing is rigid at the soul level. And in our souls we all long to be reunited with our Christ and our God. God is love!

I would see my chosen app on my way to adult websites. I would have this struggle where I did what I wanted anyways. Then I finally started watching the show and I can't stop crying 😭 praise God! I am healed
People actually lived like this 2000 yrs ago. They were human like you and me. This was a day to day event and life back then wasn’t all roses. They all became real to me. This is what the Chosen did for me and because of this, it brought me back to the Bible, Jesus, and our Heavenly Father. I no longer was intimidated or afraid of Jesus and God. I could approach them without fear or being struck down by lightening because I wanted to get closer to them. The Chosen freed me of my fears and for that, I thank them. I certainly can’t wait to meet Jesus or God!!! A double amen. Thank you 💜💛💙💚

Love to hear the insights and perceptions of the cast members and Dallas. To watch the shows and see these concepts displayed in the episodes, the multi dimensional view of the people is enlightening, these were real people, they were like us, they had strengths and weaknesses like we do, the Savior was a man, yet God, but still had to walk as we do, and brush his teeth, etc. Yet, to rise above the vicissitudes of mortality and do great works and show amazing faith helps us to relate, helps us to know that we too can do it, we can rise above our weaknesses, through His help, and do great things. All of this brings me closer to Him and to those who followed him. Wonderful series!

It makes me happy knowing there are fellow Greek Orthodox people working on The Chosen. George Xanthis (John), Jonathan Roumie (Jesus) and Stelio Savante (Moses) were baptised Greek Orthodox and, although I believe Roumie and Savante identify now more with Catholicism and Protestantism respectively, it's nice to know that people from all walks of Christianity are involved in such a great show.

I used to tell my daughters Jesus childhood,teenage activities, hardships he must have endured as Bedtime stories just with my imagination as it is portrayed in this series. They are in teens now and after watching the episodes they exclaimed Jesus really lead a normal life as human in poor conditions!! yes it seemed a bit short but ....so beautiful and refreshing to watch young men talk about Jesus and how their hearts were changed. Such a sincerity and passion in their voices that created real excitement to see what God will do in this beautiful generation....
What I liked about this show was just how real the characters were. Like it’s one thing to read how Jesus was, or how Peter was, but it’s another when you see them actually talking, laughing, doing mundane things. Like this series really touch my heart. I felt so close and drawn to the characters. It’s a beautiful story

Dallas hit the nail on the head from 2:51 about the rigidity of religious systems. I appreciate the diversity of the body of Christ and how there are some traditions that are like what Dallas described and no knock on them. But there is something to be said about having freedom to move with the Spirit and in our walk with Christ and during worship.
What I hear these gentlemen saying in various ways is that what makes this show so great and awesome is its central focus on humanism.
Of course that is antithetical to the purpose of scripture as it is essentially self worship.
It doesn’t replace the need for scripture, but it shows that these were real people. Including Jesus. So far I’ve really enjoyed it. 🙏🏼👍🏼

As a pastor- I am still watching each episode again and again (my family is starting to think I'm crazy). The cast of characters (their features), clothing, angle in scenery, their strong accents, the story line of how each possible incident could have made the bible say what it did (creatively, biblically, and yet not totally farfetched), and a total new perspective of how to see the Gospel- all of this just blows me away. Thank you for making a Jesus film in a brand new light and approach. Last, but important of all, you couldn't have "Chosen" a better time to be put this out for the world to see. God's timing is always so perfect! Praise God and may He continue use you all!

The Chosen series from Episodes 1 to several more are ecstatic! It will be remembered forever. Dallas Jenkins and the disciples including Mary are handpicked by God to do the show. Nobody else can do it better than them.
I can't tell enough people about it, my neice gave me the 3 cds for a present and I cant let them go to someone else for longer then a day, so they only get one CD and then the next. I just watched your "stress " message, He will get you on a good place, we all need this Right now, and thank God for all of you

I've been - without claiming to be a scholar - studying the Bible for two decades. My thoughts have wandered about learning more about the lives of Gamiliel (Paul's teacher), Joseph of Arimethea, and mostly: Nicodemus. Obviously, this series will delve into Joseph of Arimethea later in the series - - but the way, as it has been said - - that you've added DIMENSIONS to these historical figures is, well it is wonderful! I have watched the first season several times, and will keep coming back!!! If only you could use me somehow!!!? I am semi-retired and looking for something meaningful! Maybe I could hold up a light - or drive a truck or a bus for your crew(s)? (yes, I have a CDL with ALL the endorsements) WOW! Praise be the Lord, God of hosts!!!
