Hi!I just wanted to say that:
      1) I love your videos and never occurred to me that YOU are anything other than honest. I know enough of the truth myself to know that you are for real... so don't get discouraged by nasty comments from AZ-of bots.
      2) I can't name a Russian CZcamsr who attacks Russia (CZcams knows me too well to show those so I get pro-Russian videos.)
      3) I think this video makes good points but it makes them over and over again. Even if you film something on the fly, you can edit it in Shotcut (free program) to make it shorter and more concise. (You can even do that with existing videos using CZcams's built-in editor. )
      * Note this ^ is just friendly advice based on my own mistakes and not a personal attack.

I, too, am upset that your content is under a shadow ban, as you make great content.
I've been watching Russian and Ukrainian CZcamsrs since travel restrictions during the pandemic. Konstantin, Natasha, and Zack were deeply upset by the SMO. Even Dan was visibly upset and moved with his family to Turkey for a spell. Natasha and Zack volunteered at a shelter for Ukrainian refugees in Georgia. These content creators had no problem with Russia prior to the SMO.
Some, but not all, have left for financial reasons. It's not just black and white. Most channels have suffered as they just don't upload the content they once did. 😕

Since I left Australia it has changed and become a completely unaffordable country to live in and has gone totally WOKE and anything that isn't deemed politically correct is not tolerated anymore. I have no desire or intention to return there to live as Japan is simply a nicer place except that Australia has nicer beaches. That said, as an Australian I will criticize some aspects of society and politics there but I am still a proud Australian and try to focus on the values that made Australia and Australians a unique and wonderful country. I want to believe these still exist and will keep telling people that Australia has great beaches instead of a horrible WOKE social and political culture. I certainly wouldn't want to be negative about my home country just to make money. I have also been to Russia for just a brief time and all I can say about it is that it was different but certainly seemed extremely normal and not excessively oppressive towards its citizens.

Great video Sam … and you’re absolutely right!
I remember a guy called “konstantin” from belgorod who left in the early stages …. He’s a king of trash talking Russia.
It’s so boring listening to them! Utterly pathetic

Unfortunately scrolling through page after page of CZcams search results to find something that isn't completely tainted rubbish about Russia, something like your channel Sam that presents simple unbiased facts, is like digging through a load of mud to find just a little speck of gold, but it's worth it when you find that little piece of gold, even though YT makes it as hard as possible.

I recognize a long-haired guy from his collab with Bald and Bankrupt. He always created this kind of negative content about Russia. But to be fair, in my youtube feed I seldom get any negative content. Must be because I always used to hide these kind of videos and channels from my recommendations.

The main problem is not the money, but the people themselves. To be more precise, after the betrayal and collapse of the USSR, the pro-Western authorities set a course to erase and distort everything good that had gone before.
Since the 90s, people have been actively indoctrinated that nothing good has ever been and will never be in Russia, and that all the best things are only in the West, only in the USA. This was actively promoted by television, music and all sorts of shows. What can I say, one of the popular songs at the time was about a young girl marrying an American and finally going to the magical country of the USA.
The best scientists, programmers, mathematicians and engineers were literally bought up to work abroad. People plunged into the darkest depression and hopelessness, part of which was widespread alcoholism (which was happily picked up in the West as a template stereotype).
The process of destruction and looting of the country began to slow down when Putin came to power. This was an alarming signal for the West, and the flywheel of hostility began to unwind.
People born in the 2000s did not see all the overpowering collapse and disintegration, they grew up under Putin and matured, while the older generation voted and clung to him as a lifeline.
Unfortunately, young people have nothing to compare it with, between what was and what has become. They see only him and a country that has only just begun to rise from its knees. Their example was the West, where everything was still fine, and their backward Motherland.
I could write a whole scientific dissertation in the comments here.
But the main reason why many young people hate Russia and worship the West like wild aborigines is that at the governmental level and in the reality around them everything was directed towards the worship of Europe and the USA.
Only since 2014 has the situation started to level off until now. There are still a lot of unsolved problems. It is already a miracle that God or Fate or Providence has pulled us back from the abyss of extinction.
Unfortunately, the generation of young people has been almost irretrievably lost. They sincerely believe that Europe and the USA are the brightest, kindest and most democratic countries on Earth.
As we sarcastically say now "Elves" and we are Mordor and the darkest and worst that can only be thought of and imagined.
I don't even know why I'm writing all this, nobody's going to read it anyway.

You are absolutely right about alcohol! In the difficult 90s, people driven to poverty and despair began to drink in order to somehow forget themselves, not to go crazy and not commit suicide. And in the West they happily embraced the stereotype of vodka as something normal for every Russian person.

Well, seeing how popular patriotic singers/songwriters are, I think a good chunk of the youth have rejected the pro-Western propaganda by Russian liberals, the people who were in power during the 1990s and even 2000s and are proud of their country and its many great achievements. ❤

Nfkrz stated in one of his videos that he is not even into shitting Russia. But this is only thing his audience can digest so he had to go on those special news agencies (most of which get grants by various US funds) and read all these selection of bad news about Russia, after which he got depressed but he gotta do what he gotta do for the content.
In my opinion Russia is not a fairy tale, both good and bad things about it can be true at once. But that's a difficuld thought in our black & white world. Most people just pick their bandwagon and don't wanna listen anything that can contradict their worldview.

This reminds me of those two CZcamsrs named serpentza (from South Africa) and laowhy (from the USA) who were for years active in China and made reports about life there. But then, serpentza's visa was not renewed because the Chinese insisted on an empty criminal record, and he had been condemned long before in his homeland for cruelty against animals, so he was not allowed to return to China. Ans laowhy was also not allowed to return there because he had violated a Chinese gravesite for one of his movies. Well, now both guys make the most stupid anti-Chinese movies you can imagine (just look em up if you don't know what I'm talking about) and of course that fits into the anti-Chinese warmongering that goes on in the United States. Money is indeed a powerful thing. But in the end, truth will always be victorious ...
