Anyone else here after Jeter’s got inducted into the Hall of Fame?
Yankees Media not unanimous is a joke
Yes. 3400+ hits, career .310 hitter, over 2600 games played at shortstop, 14 time All-Star, 5 time World Series Champion. Hall of Famer to the core, all accomplished with grace, class, and dignity under the bright lights and big stage of Yankee Stadium. Well done.

When the Red Sox fans chant a yankee name In Fenway, that’s how you know he’s a great
That’s the same thing with any other team.
@@ericschuster2231 nope - its different than any other team
@@ericschuster2231 it's different when it's a 100 year old rivalry
I hate the Yankees. Re2pect Jeter
KnedLz yes
No lies, no steroids, no scandal, just a fantastic player and a class act of a person. Hats off to you mr jeter you pissed me off my entire childhood.
Sorry to hear that man, but he made mine awesome
@@ihadenoughofthiscrazinessa7015 yeah
No Scandal? Lol
How do you support???
@@deanmurphy8915 what do you mean?
There will never be another baseball player or any pro sports player like Derek Jeter again. Not in a million years. People like him come around once in a lifetime
Anyone else get goosebumps watching this? Cause I sure did! Grew up watching him till the last day.
Hell yeah I love jeet
yeah. i remember seeing him play in his rookie year and now he's retired. i've grown as old. unbelievable.
What a ride. The last of a dying or in 2019 dead breed of player
@@torutomaktu seems like just yesterday when you watch this stuff back though. I remember him getting cold up in 1995 I guess as a September call-up and I remember 96 him being named starting shortstop and you just knew there was something special about him
@@torutomaktu I believe if not for that ankle injury he could have played another three to four years
He will always be, to me, the last truly classic ball player. When he retired he took a part of the game with him we will never see again.
Felt the same about Ichiro retiring recently.
@@bitscruff354 Same could be said for Mariano
Same was said of DiMaggio 60 years ago. They will always be another great Yankee player
Nicholas Tazza Joey votto is a sure classic but nothing like jeter
I lost interest since he's been gone
Agree or Disagree: Jeter is a top 10 Yankee of all time?
Yankees Media Agree. Not only is he a top 10 best Yankee, but one of the greatest players in the history of baseball. He is also the greatest shortstop ever.
Agree
Yankees Media agree....jeter...mattingly....mantle ...ruth....maris....dimaggio ...judge...frazier ....sanchez .....monroe?....
Best player
One of theeeee best players to play ball
The fact that a Fenway crowd still showed a Yankees player that much respect...it shows that even a rivalry can’t break the admiration of Derek Jeter’s character, work ethic, and success.
This made me tear up , my favorite player
Mike Hazell I look up to him
Same here!! One of the best and well respected yankee player.. Yankees fan for life #Re2pect
Facts in my opinion he’s in my top 5 Yankees it goes mantle, Ruth, jeter, Gehrig, berra
Mee too also my favorite
Me too
As a teenager I stopped watching baseball after the 1994 strike I was a Blue Jay's fan at the time and then there was this kid of possibly being better then DiMaggio sure enough I was right I cant say I watched the greatest yankee to ever play the game. Derek Jeter is the reason I became a New York Yankees fan thank you for the memories forever more...
When he cuts off and throws out Giambi- that's the best defensive play I've ever seen. To even see that from his position on the infield was phenomenal.
Matthew-I agree with you 100%. After watching the play numerous times, if he does not cut the throw off Giambi would never have been out 100 times.
One of the Greatest Defensive play ever...Amazing
Shows how dedicated he was to knowing the ins and outs of the ss position. He was one of the best athletes we will ever see . m.j and jeter are role models and inspired many to play sports
Also one of my favorite plays he was the New York Yankees
I am an A's fan and I was there ... it was not fun that he forced a Game 5 and my team lost but it was one of the coolest things I have ever seen. At the yard it appeared that he practically appeared out of nowhere like - magic! But that is kind of how Jeter always was in any big game or big moment. i'm a huge fan. #Re2pect! I'm actually a huge fan of the late 90's Yankees - love the Core Four (should have been something "Five" because Bernie Williams is my favorite and it just seems like he needs to be included!! LOL!) - but yes! It was one of the most amazing plays I have EVER seen!!
One of the greats, never heard anything about any type of scandals, bad behavior , a true professional and someone who I would like my boys to be like one day
You know...it just really sad that future generations won’t get to see him play in real life. I’m glad I was there to see him play. thanks Derek. 😁
There will never be another Derek Jeter. Thank you for so many awesome memories. My all time favorite Yankees player
Boston Red Sox faithful chanting “Der-ek Je-ter” for their sworn enemy says it all.
No doubt. Something about great players in sports, almost gladiator like. The cheers from fans for a player they probably absolutely despised but respected very much. The feeling of admiration overwhelmed all the years of hate. That was truly one of the most legendary things I've every seen. We may never see his like again.
Derek Jeter is undoubtedly one of the greatest of all time.
Definitely not. His offense was fantastic but his defense absolutely terrible
@@ericschuster2231not at all lol, I don’t recall his defense giving the Yankees any problems throughout his career. Solid fielder and all-time great hitter
@@wm_9640 Go check his defensive stats for yourself. The numbers don’t lie.
Derek Jeter to me resembles the greatest Yankee player of our time even tho I’m not a Yankees fan, but I’m glad I watched him play. He’s the last classic player with modern talent and respected by all fans and player of MLB. Amazing!!!
#RE2PECT
Dont Forget Chipper Jones Everybody loved him till the end even fans not cheering for him. Just the respect Chipper Jones earned like Jeter
@@williamwalker9721 I love Chipper!!! I loved those Braves. David Justice is also a really amazing guy. There are not many guys ilke Chipper & Jeter though, I agree! (I just had to mention DJ because he came to Oakland for an event that was on my birthday in '18 because he saw that I tweeted that I probably wasn't going because the highlight of going every year for me was getting a picture with him - so he flew up and surprise me! - it was awesome - sorry but that's the kinda dude he is! ) But I agree about Chipper!!!
You know what....I'm a lifelong Red Sox fan and I'll never be anything different. Was never in my life more proud of my fellow Fenway Faithful than I was that day and the ovation they gave #2. Very richly deserved too! All Red Sox fans had mad respect for Jeter throughout his career. He was a class act, and a tremendous talent. We all claimed to hate him, but that was because we wanted him wearing our uniform and not the pinstripes. I think every single member of Red Sox Nation secretly wanted him to be on Red Sox so bad. Him and Mo were the class of that era of Yankee baseball and both were thought highly of here in Boston. Just couldn't say it while they were active.
Daniel Barrasso I am a die hard yankee fan, and always will be. As a New Yorker I hate the Red Sox. But I also respect the Red Sox. And looking back on that game it brought a tear to my eye the way Red Sox nation showed their respect for my boy. Yankee/Red Sox is the greatest rivalry in sports and deep down we all have mutual respect for each other. But man, what a 20 year span!! Jester could run for mayor of NYC and win in a landslide! But it does break my heart knowing I’ll never see #2 at the plate again. Thanks for 20 years Captain!!
mad respect for you!
Without a doubt. I'd have loved to have those guys playing for the Red Sox. But we had Papi and Pedro, and I know any honest Yankee fan wishes those guys had been wearing pinstripes.
I love Big Papi and I'm a Yankee fan. 💗
At least your Honest.. Go Yankees
When Jeter hit that walk off single in 2014 I started crying
Me, too!! Bawled like a baby!
Me too and I'm not at Yankee fan! LOL! But that game was SOOOO CLASSIC JETER!! It was almost rained out - miraculously it was not. He got in the game, got a hit - so it was like - whew! At least that is out of the way! But when he was up at the end, it was like kismet - Derek Jeter was in a game and it was another HUGE MOMENT and as usual he just CRUSHED IT! It was so beautiful and perfect - I'll bet a lot of others were balling too!!
I was at that game! Flew out freshman year of college to see that game. I’ll always cherish that moment
I’m so blessed to be able to watch Jeter in pinstripes. He is a legend and a hero of mine. Respect the Captain! 1995-2014 ❤️❤️❤️
my first ever yankees game i went to in person was his last game
I've talked to Derek Jeter several times before the game. Class Act Real Gentleman 🙂🙂❤️❤️❤️
He played the game the right way Hard and Smart to play 20 Years for the Yankees is Amazing Congrats to Derek Jeter one of the Greatest Baseball players of all time
As a kid I always heard about the Babe Ruth's Mickey Mantle's Hank Aaron's Willie Mays all of those first ballot Hall of Fame players and I am honored to say that I got to watch Derek Jeter play baseball for 20 years and become arguably the best all around player to ever wear the pinstripes. It's 2019 and it feels like just yesterday that Derek retired
Bill Shamrock I feel the same this vid hits so hard
Same here!
What year did he pack it in?
@@deanmurphy8915 after the 2014 season
One of the most respected athletes on the planet.
Love him or hate him, the man had class and played the game the right way 💯
Does anyone besides me find it poetic that he ended his career in fenway with not only a standing ovation but with the crowd chanting his name. You know you left a mark on the game when your enemies love you just as much as your fans do. Hands down one of the greatest to ever touch the diamond. I’m blessed I got to see him a handful of times at Camden yards.
His walkoff single in his final game is like Kobe’s 60 in his final game . Legends . R.I.P Kobe Black Mamba Bryant .
My dad used to tell me about Mickey Mantle and how great he was. I can’t wait till I tell my son about Derek Jeter.
Jeter had a dream... and it was to play in the majors with Yankees
Cried like a baby through this... excellent work... I'm a Cardinals fan, but more than that, I am a baseball fan... I feel lucky to have witnessed Jeter throughout his career... such an amazing athlete & person...
Had to watch this, the Yankees are currently on a 9 game loss streak, first time since 1982, and It looks like we'll have our first losing season since 1992. These Jeter highlights help though, I miss him on the team. He's still my favorite player of all time
Derek Jeter is so amazing and I’m so happy he’s in the hall of fame he’s one of my favorite players of all time 😊😊💞💞💗💗💎💎💯💯
Forever the captain Yankees forever
No babe ruth
We'll never have the privilege to see such a baseball player in our lifetime.
It was an honor to be a Yankee fan during his career.
This made me tear up, i`m a 41 years old red sox fan! RESPECT!!!!
I wish I could give this video 1,000 likes. This might be the greatest video I’ve seen on CZcams. If somebody wrote this script in Hollywood, the movie would never be made. It would seem to far fetched and unbelievable. I miss these days.
My god that flip to the posada to get giambi out gives me CHILLS every time man
Who else got chills watching this?
Forever my favorite player. Brings me to tears everytime I watch this. Forever the captain!
The fact that he got Fenway to chant his name, incredible. Greatest rivalry in all of sports. Who says Boston isnt classy?
Derek Jeter will always be a New York Yankee.....
Hands down first ballot hall famer no doubt and if he dont u gonna see my boy mike tyson
Yeah, right. The way he bit his opponent's ear off... That in itself is hall of fame behavior. NOT.
Bring in mike.
I think Mike Tyson is the coolest. I'm not a boxing fan but love watching video of him from when I was younger. And he is hilarious and actually pretty smart in that special he did on HBO. It was really good! but what does he have to do with this?? LOL
Seeing a standing ovation at Fenway and hearing the fans chant Derek Jeter brought a tear to my eye. Thank you Sox fans for appreciating the game and the generational talent that we Yankee fans are very thankful for. Yankees/ Sox= best rivalry in sports
Derek Jeter is the reason why I became a Yankees fan. He's a great player, I'm gonna miss him.
i have to say if that don't give u goosebumps ur not alive
I think Antonio Brown might need to watch this to learn how to be a leader and a class act
Velocty Bloodz you can say that again
lol, he needs electro-shock therapy first
AB couldn’t hold Jeters jock
Most ball players these days need to watch this. Because jeter was a team player 100%. Now everyone is out for themselves
Every athlete should watch this and take notes on how to be a professional.
Posada Jeter and Rivera will ALWAYS be the Yankees all stars. Now and forever. I will miss you all in baseball so very much. Thank you for your commitment with MLB
I'm not s Yankees's fan, and never will be, but for me Jeter is one of the greatest player ever !!
One of the best players in all of sports history. RE2PECT.
The way the boston fans at fenway treated him was very cool. Jeter is a class act and few besides him would get that kind of reception.
Capie, you will always be missed. But, never, ever, forgotten. Thank you for 20 yrs of service with our beloved Yankees. You are a class act, and your shoes will be truly hard to fill by the next generation. Enjoy the rest and retirement, O'Captain, my Captain.
As a Mets fan I was taught to go against the Yanks, but as a man, theres no way I couldn't admire and respect the teams you guys had all them years. Some of the greatest players to ever play baseball whooped my Mets, but damn it was an honor watching them...
I live in Massachusetts and am a huge Red Sox fan yet Jeter is my fav ball player of all time. He was a class act and played the game the way it's supposed to be played.
This music makes it so much more emotional
not just speed, strength or agility. He was one of the smartest players i've ever seen in my life. Pure intellect.
Coming from a true yankees hater for years and years, this video makes me emotional to put it lightly
So nice seeing the old stadium
I would watch Derek Jeter and the Yankees at my grandparents house.. such nostalgia. I loved my childhood, and this definitely helps.
That first scene music mad me cry. Jeter and Rivera is my favorite Yankees. Always have positive attitude and love towards fans. 2019 World Series Championships goes to The New York Yankees. #Chasefor28
King Tyler II the Astros cheated!
That’s how the yanks lost
"Now batting for the New York Yankees...the short stop...#2...Derek Jeter...#2" GOAT
I will always miss Jeter and I have played MLB the Show since 07 and hoping to this day Jeter return to the Show. Jeter earned his title of Captain and I'll tip my Cap anytime for him he's earned it
A pure baseball gentleman.
15:03 Jeter & ichiro two of the greatest ever.
I am a die-hard Cubs fan, but my God, he is the greatest shortstop the game has ever seen. #RE2PECT
Forever my captain right here, I wore number 2 in baseball just because of Jeter, growing up in New England as a Yankees fan, this man gave me pride to be one.
One of the greatest players ever...THE greatest Captain ever in baseball history!
Gehrig? Come on.
Next to Gehrig, I think
14:25 to be a yankee player and at the Fenway park and the people yield like that, that's re2pect for Mr November
Javier Gamez EXACTLY
I miss Derek jeter so much this actually made a tear come out because I miss the old days mo and jeter all those excellent baseball players I miss them all
Jeter is the best Yankee's player of all time and possibly the best shortstop of all time and Numbers don't lied, with 5 world series wins in his career, more worlds series wins and more world series games and at bat than any other shortstop ever and with more than 3000 Hits. Yes he is the Michael Jordan of Baseball. 🙏🏽👍🏽
Im a life long NYM fan, but still LOVE Jeter. How can you not?
I watched this with my dad it was so cool to see him do his opposite field single and score the winning run, it was sad to know that it was his last game but I was still very enjoyable I was sitting next to my dad and I remember him crying as Jeter was walking out
Was privileged to watch his entire career. Greatness.
Fenway Park ERUPTS for Derek Jeter! A true earth shattering moment in MLB. He EARNED that standing ovation.
As a die-hard Cubs fan, I tip my cap to the greatest player ever. #RE2PECT
*OUR CAPTAIN!* #YANKEES #RE2PECT
I forget how much I loved him throwing the bat down the first base line after he put the ball in play
My favorite athlete of all time. I watched many of these highlights live growing up. His last at bat at home is one of the most emotional moments in sports to me. Love you Derek, always will!
my favorite team, my favorite play. He's one of a kind.
One of the best players ever! You built a home mr november!
The greatest of all time, DEREK JETER
This guy was my childhood.. im so blessed to be able to watch such a great player and such a great person play a sport for so long and do it to the tee for so long is awesome. thank you Jeter. it still amazes me that, that much time went by that fast..
Big man!!!! I wish I could meet him sometime and tell him how much I admire him! I would pay anything to watch him play live with that uniform
All I can say is I’m damn lucky to have watched this man play 🙏 just a clutch player, could get any hit or make a defensive play when it mattered the most 💯🔥😎 #Jeter #Captain
God I remember that last game at Yankee stadium, when I was born Jeter had been the starting Yankee shortstop for 2 years and I grew up watching all his games on tv and going to Yankee stadium with my dad and grandfather. I remember the Yankee bullpen blew the save and Baltimore tied the game and turning to my dad like “Jeter is due up 3rd in the 9th can you imagine if his last at bat is a walkoff...” then Gardner bunted Richardson to 2nd with Jeter up and boy I was jumping. Then the most classic Jeter basehit to right to end his final game on a walkoff! I was jumping out of my shoes, just a moment of such pure joy and extacy.
I miss this man. I’m a die hard cards fan but Jeter was my fav player of all time
This is probably the best thing I’ve seen on CZcams. Fml
I'm not crying.. You are crying
One of the greatest Yankees ever!! Thank you Jeter!! ❤
I am from Sonora Mexico, land of Fernando Valenzuela, Karim Garcia and many more players. I am a Yankee at heart and my father and I did not miss games. My father died but I remember him watching Dereck Jeter, I recorded the last at-bat with my phone and you can hear my father's voice... The Captain's last at-bat. ...and the last game we watched together...
This video deserves more views
Very good video! So many memorable Jeter moments. Respect to the Red Sox and their fans for the beautiful way they showed their respect in that last game at Fenway.
Jeter chants at Fenway brings a tear to my eye as a die hard Yankee fan. It’s really amazing. That being said, WE NEVER SHOWING THAT LOVE TO A SOX PLAYER IN THE BRONX!!!!
I was born in 1995. Derek Jeter started his baseball career with the Yankees in 1995. I graduated high school in 2014. Derek Jeter hit a walk off single against the Orioles in his final major league game in Yankee Stadium. That same year Jeter played his final major league game.
For almost the first 2 decades of my life, I grew up with Derek Jeter being a Yankee and that’s a connection I will always cherish. #Respe2t
Greatest highlight real I have ever seen. Yankees should have hired you to make a highlight tape for Jeter.

Glad to have seen all 20 seasons of his career!!! What a blessing.
Where Fantasy becomes Reality! Nothing describes it more then a Yankee getting a standing ovation at Fenway Park.

Grew up with #2. Use to copy his batting stance, my number was always 2, and because of him I loved playing shortstop when i was growing up playing baseball. One of the best players in history and im glad i got the chance to watch his career and see him enter the hall of fame were he belongs, with the rest of the greats.
Yankees suck so bad right now so I needed to watch this and look back on good old times..lol
