Loved this show. So much talent. RIP Paul Melba. Another great performer who has left us.
RIP Peter Goodwright, loved listening to him on the radio growing up 50s 60s. 4/11/20
We need shows like this on TV today....please.
Love this sort of comedy. Remember this as a kid. Crying me eyes with laughter!

Could do with this sort of show on Saturday TV . now
Loved Paul Melba, such a talented man.
Freddie Starr just oozed star quality
That’s when we could laugh and not apologise for it ,superb Tv
Love Arthur Mullards impressions!
4:43 this Bing Crosby routine is just not funny, but it is brilliant and quite moving!! Watched it three times. It made my eyes water.
The guy doing James Mason is uncanny. Do remember this
Paul Melba.
Lockdowns wouldn’t have seemed quite so bad if I’d known this was available.
Peter Goodwright's Hylda Baker was much better than Janet Brown's attempt. Other than than Arthur Millard was brilliant as always.
But it's alternative comedy! In 1972!
They all do Hughie Green.
Paul Melba was on a completely different level to Mike Yarwood. His James Mason is uncannily good. That said, his Richard Burton was truly awful 😂
Nice to see Jimmy Saville getting a look in.
Impersonated by his close friend Freddie Starr, who dodged the kiddie-fiddling scandal by the skin of his teeth.
Was that Steve Coogan too?
No. Steve Coogan would have been about 7 years old when this show was on.
No, it was his Dad.
