Alison Krauss has a voice of an angel! If you ever get the chance to listen to Keith Whitley's version, check it out, just as amazing as Alison's! Have a great night!
Queen of Bluegrass, she can melt butter with that voice as well as hearts!! One of the purest voices, plain, simple, beautiful. You want to talk pitch perfect, here she is.
Her voice is like a a gentle breeze through the grass...so natural and peaceful....
Allison has won 27 Grammy awards. Most of any artist in history. I saw her this summer on her tour with Robert Plant, Led Zeppelin front man. Queen of blue grass and classic rock. The show was worth every dime.
She is an amazing vocalist but I think Beyonce actually surpassed her Grammy total last year ,
@@dibbysstopmotionchannel9472 she did but Allison has Grammy's in way more categories than Beyoncé does. She is a true musician.
She is a lot more talented than Beyoncé…she’ll add more.
I was so stoked when I heard that Allison and Robert Plant got together for their collaborations. I really like the song they did “gone, gone, gone“
Beautiful song and lady. VERY SMOOOOTH
No explosions, no dancers, no gimmicks--just top-flight musicianship and once in a generation voice. That's what's it like at the top of the bluegrass food chain.♥♥
Awww!! How sweet!
One of my all-time favorites
Alison Krauss's voice is so nice and smooth - she nails it, and the top notch musicians in the band make it look so easy to sound so good.
ALISON HAS THE VOICE OF AN ANGEL, AND I LITERALLY MELT EVERY TIME I HEAR HER SING!!. ❤❤❤❤
Impeccable vocals. While I am not a country music fan, I have to tip my hat to this young lady. Chef's kiss.
A favorite version of this song by a favorite singer. Thanks.
Her voice is angelic!
She grew up just down the street from me. I used to stand outside her house n listen to her sing n play... i saw her taking some lessons too! Champaign Illinois
I love Allison Krauss version the most. Nothing wrong with Keith Whitley, but Allison's voice is so unique and I like the arrangement. Thanks for sharing! Your reactions are always thoughtful and given in such a genuine way.
I definitely agree Allison’s version is the best
agree love songs that don't have drums banging loud as hell or a guitar screaming but then sometimes you need all the above
I love her as well, you might try the version by Foxes and Fossil’s here on YT.
My preference also...but I may be biased..I love almost any song she does..her voice is angelic.
Love this cover. She is such a great vocalist.
I had the honor of being at the Palace Theater in Louisville, KY when AK + US recorded their live CD/DVD, and it was just breathtaking. Fun fact: Dan Tyminski, the guitar player in the blue shirt, was the singing voice for George Clooney in "O Brother Where Art Thou?"
Love this song in the film Notting Hill
I'm a Allison Krause fan, so beautiful ❤️ thanks 👍
Thanks for reacting to this great song. I like both Keith's and Allison's recordings of the song.
I'm not a country or blue grass fan but this is a good song. Even I gotta admit that!
❤ Allison Krause ..... can sing; where, most people can't drag a stick !!! ❤️
I watched you listen 👂🏻 to the song. You !! My dear, are real. The little, subtle smiles. The swaying with the music. 🎶🎵 😉
Her voice is so unique I don't know anyone who sounds quite like she does
1st time hearing this song! The lyrics and the way she sings the tune really gets to me! And I mean that in a good way, it touched my heart and soul!
I love the juxtaposition of the sweetness of the song with the horror icons on the t-shirt!!
this song was also covered and a UK number1 by Ronan Keating and his version was used for the movie and soundtrack of the Julia Roberts/Hugh Grant movie Notting Hill
Angela, I loved your reaction to this music video. I am a big Keith Whitley fan, an amazing singer & song writer who was taken from this world much too soon. But Keith's version cannot touch Alison's version of this song. Alison's unique voice just brings out the pure love in this song. Alison has over 25 Grammy awards for a reason. Her voice brings out the pure magic of any song! She takes those songs to ANOTHER LEVEL. I loved seeing your face light up when you truly took in the meaning of the lyrics! Those are the reactions us fans look for. 👍👍❤❤
Great song and a beautiful reaction from a beautiful woman.
Brings a tear to my eye every time. Never waste a chance to show someone you love them. I found out the hard way, tomorrow may be too late. 😥
Well done Angela, this one does it for me 😁🎸 I especially liked the delicate mandolin and lead guitar riffs. Excellent execution all around. 😇🕊️🌹
You are going to town with some beautiful female singers. She sounds like an angel.
Alison Krauss and the Union Station are the best! Great video! Thank You!
Her cover of "Baby, Now That I've Found You" by the Foundation s also great.
LOVE Allison Kraus. In terms of covers, her tcover of The Boxer with Sean Colvin and her duets with Robert Plant doing Led Zeppelin songs are priceless. And of course her work with Union Station and Jerry Douglas on the dobro are classics. You could do a month of her music. She plays great fiddle too.
Saw her this summer perform with Robert Plant. Such an amazing voice!
Tina Marie " Wishing on a Star". Thank you for the video.
Her signing voice has a quality we associate with southerners. Yet it is funny she is from central Illinois. Truth is you travel 100 miles south of Chicago you start hearing a southern accent. Not heavy but it’s there.
The cover it's so heart warming with the other people in the background.
I can't pick one.
I like them both for different reasons.
My sentiment exactly. Both versions are special in their own ways.
I like both the original and the cover. Sweet song and lyrics ❤️
They actually put out a duet version of this song where it has both Keith Whitley and Alison Krauss on it.. Of course, it was made after Keith had passed away, so his part was taken from his original track.
great to see alison here. my fave cover of hers is the r&b classic "baby now that i've found you."
from the soundtrack for "Notting Hill" movie
Both versions are equally great in my mind. Each has a different tone. Allison's soft, angelic voice vs Keith's deep, strong country voice. Neither is my favorite, totally depends on my mood at the moment. No matter, it's a beautiful song will strong lyrics. You always know when someone really loves you, sometimes without a single word being spoken.
Pure class.
Amazing her and Kieth
Living in Australia (and the UK would be the same) the Ronan Keating version is the most familiar. I did not know the history of this song and its origins in the US. Both the original and this version are wonderful.
This is a Keith Whitley song they actually put her together with him as a duet singing this song. I was heartbroken when he died he was one of my favorite country singers. They never actually sang together but it was really cool how they put her and him together in the video.
I think Alison Krauss is more revered by her peers then her fans she's amazing
Her "I'll Fly Away" is truly beautiful.
The Voice Of An Angel...Check Out Alison Krauss "Ghost In This House"
aliison kause did an excellent cover of Carolina on my mind (written by James Taylor)
Too great to choose one over the other. They each have such beautiful versions. My answer is BOTH🎶❤️
First time I heard this was when I watched the movie Notting Hill. I loved it then. Alison does a great job with it.
Omg just noticed Alison is the doppelganger for that little girl that crushes the can with her hand as she gnarls her teeth that played the "bad kid" in some movie years ago. Anyone member?
The Angel of country music.
I don't think too many people have heard the original. So my vote goes to Allison. 😀
I love both
Another cover is Hurt
Done by Nine Inch Nails
Then covered by The Late Johnny Cash
Johnny's version will make you feel Mr.Cash,s regrets makes me cry everytime
Allison by far the best
I love both versions!
God she's beautiful
Most Most Beautiful song from Alison Krause
Angels wish they could sing as good as her, if you hear her sing live, she is breathtaking!
Her song, "The Lucky One", is outstanding.
I saw Alison Krauss and Union Station perform live a few years ago and I think they sound even better live than on their recordings.
Lovely rendition, which made me think of the Ronan Keating version, which somehow (?) reminded me of Bronski Beat's 'Smalltown Boy'; could you conider adding this song to your list? Thanks, Chris
Awesome shirt!
Angela, please cover Johnny Cash version of the song HURT,it wasn't his song, but after he did it the original artist said it was now his song,it is a very deep song done by a True Legend, you will not be disappointed.
Definitely the cover
She killed it. No comparison.
Allison is a child bluegrass prodigy with other worldly violin/fiddle skills and vocal ability. Great work with Rober Plant, of Led Zeplin. An American Treasure.
Very few voices can rival Karen Carpenter's , Alison Krauss has one of the in my opinion. Been a fan of hers for years , glad you liked the song . You might look into "Whisky Lullaby". Bring a tissue if you do.
They were still writing profound love songs during the 80's, but not much longer after that.
I got to see Alison Krauss and Union Station at a little place called McDibbs in Black Mountain, NC back around 1989. Alison Brown was playing banjo in the band for that tour, or at least that show. Several years later saw her and the band on the main stage at Merlefest. Honestly, I'm a bigger fan of her early bluegrass work on albums like Every Time You Say Goodbye and I've Got That Old Feeling.
I agree with you. Although I've thoroughly enjoyed everything she's done, I was mesmerized back in the day when she recorded for Rounder.
You have to hear Keith sing this
His voice is amazing. RIP KEITH
Ol Kieth is one of my favorites, but in all honesty, these lyrics better fit most of our personalities and this is better sung by a woman. Allison is one of my top 3 favorite female country singers and my number 1 favorite female bluegrass singer. Appreciate yer comment, Ma'am, concernin actions speakin louder than words. My Mama, bless her heart, has always been a woman that needed praisin or I call "pettin" in order to feel appreciated. Me.....fer example, I always felt a clean plate was a cook's biggest compliment. Enjoyed the reaction, Ma'am.
Love the reaction channel I subscribed when I saw your Faithfully reaction. You have a lot a great music on your list. Disturbed is one of the modern ones. Please give a reaction to a band called The Hu Band. And their song Song of Wonen featuring Lzzy Hale from Halestorm. The Hu is a Mongolian folk/metal band using traditional instruments and throat singing. Its an empowering song for women that I think you will really love.
There’s plenty of people putting this song out there and yes it’s a great song. That’s why it was #1 for Kieth Whitley . I wish someone would her singing the song Baby, now that I found you ….she took a song by a English band from 1967 and completely made it her own version and it is awesome…give that a listen 👍🏼👍🏼
I prefer Allison's later live renditions of this song, with Jerry Douglas on the Dobro. I've seen AKUS four times in concert, what a terrific show.
This is a stunningly beautiful song - she actually sounds better in a live version of it.
Allison Krauss has a voice of Gold and definitely this is the best cover, she’s awesome, I actually prefer her version than the original
Allison is a very talented singer. She is definitely one of those ladies that doesn't get enough credit for her vocal ability.
Keith Whitley was an amazing song writer
She has a voice 2nd only to Karen Carpenter in my opinion. Beautiful.
What an amazing voice! Talking of amazing voices... I know you're a Joe Cocker fan - a live Joe Cocker Fan... search out Joe Cocker ' The Letter' from the Mad Dogs and Englishmen Tour. Then go onto 'Delta Lady'. Love ur reactions! R...
Was this song ever a duet? I vaguely recall hearing both of them singing this at the same time on the radio when I was younger?
I fell in love with this song the moment I heard Keith Whitley sing it. I thought it had powerhouse lyrics. I was a little worried when Allison covered it, but my worries were for naught. Allison stayed very true to the OG. I think Keith's version is the best, but Allison's version is the best cover of it. Glad you like it.
The voice of an Angel! You should check her work out with Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin. Moving sand.
Best Covers - The Pretenders - Creep (Live At London's Jakob Street Studios 1995) - It's an acoustic version - The original is by Radiohead. I have both versions. Which version is better. It is the Pretenders version that I have in my phone. But then again, the original is great too.
I would suggest another Alison Krause with Robert Plant of the song "Nothin"; complete re-imagining of the original.
Suggestion: "Jerry Williams - Working Class Hero"👍(John Lennon original version)
In my opinion it's Alison Krauss for sure ♥ BUT sometimes I listen to Keith Whitley and sometimes Ronan Keating 🙂 I know that Alison Krauss is a cover but with that angelic voice and her band, I can feel the song and their music so much more. I can't get enough!!
Love your videos, there's so many new great artists!
If I may suggest something, I'd like to ask you to react to They Might Be Giants "Music Jail Pt 1&2" .
If you prefer a stripped down live version to the (cute) music video, there's a great live performance in a video by Rolling Stone Magazine called ("Take One feat. They Might Be Giants), but they're performing two songs in that.
here is a good one to react too Pray for You - Jaron and The Long Road to Love i think you will like it and i know everyone will love your reaction to it
Actually both are very beautiful to me
Not a fan of Country but I always liked this one RIP Keith Whitley sad to see your demons got the better of you but at least you left the world this little gem for an angel like Alison Krauss to perform.
She is an amazing talent and she and Robert Plant from Led Zeppelin get together now and then and do these albums and go on tour. It's so cool to see, the Elder Statesman of rock and roll and the much younger phenomenon although at this point she's already been around blowing people away for years. They are really good together, both their voices and their chemistry.
Alison krauss the children of the Allegheny mountains that's not the name of the song I can't remember the actual title but that will take you straight to you will cry your eyes out
toddlers say nothing, but they redeem us- that's how i see this video
Hi Ms. D., I love this song and Ms. Alison, do she not have a most angelic voice??
On a regular night of a Lady's Night U could review "The Lucky One".. ♠W.G.
I much prefer the original on this one.. Keith Whitley's voice is just that great. So deep, warm, and rich.
It's sad that he passed so early, I think only 4 years into his professional career, I think. Made a huge impact and impression for such a short career.
A bit different from the other songs you have reacted to. BTW, if you’re looking for a good Halloweenish song, Long Black Veil by lefty Frizzell is a good one.
