When my sister committed suicide I prayed for strength to be able to to cope with the loss. The answer I received was the words of this hymn "Peace Be Still" When I watched this version of this great hymn it literally brought me to tears.

James - I'm so sorry for your loss. I know it's hard. I'm glad you were able to find solace in the words of this song. God has a way of reaching us in our hour of need, doesn't he? As Wynonna Judd once said when a Christian song ministered to her at the news of the death of a father she never met - "There's always a song, isn't there?"
It has brought me to tears, too (still learning to live with the loss of my wife).
If it is any comfort there are many of us who have been affected by the loss of a beloved one in this way and other ways. When we go to heaven we will understand the answer to the question Why?

I suffered from insomnia & depression 4 about 5 yrs. The crazy thing is that I never thought it was such a deep problem coz I just thought it was normal 2 live so. Then the Master commanded, "Peace! Be still!" & it was all over. Nothing compares 2 our Lord Jesus Christ!!!❤️❤️❤️
Was going through my old, old, church hymnal today (8-8-2020) and came upon this hymn. Thank you for sharing it with us in years past, today, I knew the tune and recognized it and sang it (alone, sadly for Sabbath services mostly don't have singing at this point) but in my own worship time, I could sing it thanks to your help. Please do continue to share these old hymns, spiritual songs and psalms. We need them today, more than ever! God bless and Happy Sabbath to you!

Based on many of the comments in your videos and the number of views your videos get, it's clear that many people are moved by hymns and are sad that many churches today don't play them anymore. I totally agree! It is so refreshing to here actual "on point" beautiful music in it's real and original parts, written to truly glorify God, without the corrupted monstrosities of vocal showy slurring, sensual voice (heavy mic breathing), and the often resulting counter rhythmic, and meter chaos.
There is obvious true beauty in music symmetry and order.
And our Creator is a God of order and beauty, and purpose!
