Edit: Thank you all for your prayers. My dad went to be with the Lord Jesus yesterday (12-22-22). He is not suffering anymore. The Lord healed him completely although it is not in the way that I so desperately hoped for. Your words of comfort and prayers are appreciated more than you can ever know. God bless you all!

I have only recently "discovered" your channel. I am serving as a Hospice Chaplain, I am playing these hymns for my patients with a Christian faith and background. These songs are a blessing for them. Thank you.

This is the correct way to give glory to God, no scandals, no instruments, etc.
David, a man after God's heart, played instruments to worship God, he also danced in worship to God.
Was David's way of worship incorrect?

@@gerrythorington7332 David’s worship wasn’t incorrect. Nor did the original commenter say that. We aren’t David. We aren’t commanded to use instruments or dance. God did however, give us a direct command and example as to how he wants us to worship him in the New Testament.
@@intensenarwhal3688 I pointed out a few facts regarding how David, a man after God's heart, worshiped him in front of the Ark, the most holy of holy.
God did not command David to dance or play an instrument before God, it was sincere praise, happiness, and love for Yahuah, his Creator. BTW, priests also danced, and played instruments before God. These are biblical facts not based on modern man made doctrines. I do agree, if the worship praise is self- serving, bringing glory to man instead of God, objectively indecent, etc, then that would be transgression.

11 months ago after my church family was told that my husband of 18 years left me for an unsaved younger woman, one of my brothers pick this song to sing at our Wednesday night bible study. The night I told them they cried along with me. I praise God and the Lord Jesus Christ, his Son and my Lord and Savior.
I am still standing in the midst of the storm and like Daniel's three friends, they will come out not even smelling of smoke!

Then he said, "That's what it's all about!"
Several years ago, I attended the services of a congregation whose pastor said he could evaluate the spiritual condition of attendees by how they responded during the service.
Well, I'm not in favor of prohibiting preachers in other people's congregations from saying, "Amen?", a dozen times in one service. I'm not in favor of prohibiting preachers in other people's congregations from starting their sermons speaking softly enough that the average person has to listen very carefully to even hear what is being said and then gradually increase the volume to the shouting level by the end. I assume one or both of those techniques were employed by the congregation whose services the war veteran liked so much. But I'm old enough to remember Hitler's speeches so I tend to avoid subjecting myself to anything that remotely resembles ANY attempt for speakers in general - perhaps preachers and politicians in particular - doing anything designed to manipulate people's emotions or elicit an "enthusiastic" response. Over the last few years, I've attended a few services where the pastors asked everyone to close their eyes and bow their heads, started by addressing the Almighty and then segued to speaking to the people in the audience. In each case, I got up an left, haven't returned, and probably won't. I prefer to not give even tacit approval to those kinds of attempts to manipulate people.

This song has been a favourite of mine since I was a little girl. I use to be Terrified of storms so when there would be one brewing, my dad would crawl into bed with me and sing this song till I could sleep. When my son was born, he was very sick and we were flown to the NICU. My pastors wife sent this hymn to me.. I don’t think she knew how much I already cherished this song. As of right now, my husband and I are going through our 5th early pregnancy loss. I cling to the lyrics. Lord keep me safe till this storm passes by. ❤

My mama sang this song weeks before she had a relapse of cancer that lead to her death. In retrospect, she must have known that her time is coming, and like Jesus in the garden, she needed the strength to hold on to her faith.

I first heard this presented by Vestal Goodman when she was with the Gaithers in Hawaii and I've listened to that version almost exclusively. But I believe that God had you present this today specifically to remind me of his Grace even in light of my mothers passing early this morning. Thank you for using your voice for God.
