I still have my Grumpy Bear Care Bear put up with my collection of kid stuff I kept from the 80s! I slept with that thing for a long time! Lol
I had the Monster at the End of this Book. Some I recognized but not all. As I grew up in Australia, some of ours were different. I is good to see what other countries had, growing up in the 80s. Brings back memories which also makes me thing of other things that we had in Australia. I had an Intelevision which was similar to the Atari.
I'm from France and 48 years old a lot of those toys came in France too but big trak never heard, and in France Monchichis called "Kiki" for the Atari 2600 don't have one but cool console in the 80's my console was a sega master system !!!! and cool video thx !
The Misfits 💯💯💯💯💯My Buddy & Kid Sista is where it's at!🤟🤟🤟🗽🗽🗽🌃🌃🌃🌉🌉🌉😼
My niece had all of the Strawberry Shortcake characters and she kept them in an old purse of my mom's. That purse smelled like Fruit Stripe Gum!!! lol I'm a huge fan of The Thundercats. Never had any memorabilia, but I never missed an episode(along with The Great Space Coaster). I had a lot of fun with Simon. I'm ambidextrous with a freaky memory. The advanced levels of Simon are fast, really fast, but I still beat it. I love memory games! The FP Little People had been around for quite a while, just like the View Master. I had both in the 70s and they were hand-me-downs. I still have an Atari 2600 that was a hand-me-down as well. Along with a ColecoVision and an Intellivision system to boot. In case you're curious, YES, I have the 90s consoles as well. Toys, games and shows of the 80s were the best!! 👍
I had SO many of these toys and games! And looking back, the Misfits songs WERE better. They slapped a lot harder than the Holograms' did. I still randomly get "Universal Appeal" in my head lol.
And GROVER! That book was a favorite!
Besides LEGO (my all-time favorite), others I enjoyed (and still have) are: Erector Set, Capsela, Robotix, and Transformers 😸

My sister owned all the Strawberry Shortcake dolls. My brother had a Simon. I had Monchichi dolls. I wasn't a stereotypical boy, so the cars, and things like that, didn't really appeal to me.
I had the “Big Trak!” I loved that thing! I even bought rechargeable batteries from “Radio Shack” because I played with it so much! Thanks for the memory!!
Kind of ironic you say Jem and the Holograms was cooler than Barbie considering Mattel responded to this line with Barbie and the Rockers which ended up selling better.
Normal time's when boys played with boy toys and girls played with girl toys unlike today 😅
