    I ordered my XLT Ecoboost Maverick in January 2022 and received it November 2022. I prefer leaving it stock, mainly for the gas mileage. On the highway I have been getting 34 mpg with the cruise on and driving 75mph. In town driving I average 26-27 mpg. Love my Maverick!

    I'm torn. I like both. Lowered mini truck is cool af. Lifted is too. I think for me, it'd be a level kit up front and a mild AT tire. Definitely don't want to impact mpg's too much. Or the ride quality.

    The lifted one is done perfect and looking amazing. I’d lower one over lifting one of if I had one but I need a truck that I can take down dirt roads and trails to go camping and towing my dirt bikes and other toys.

  • @usnr5950
    @usnr5950 Před 3 měsíci +3

    I never saw the logic in lowering a truck it just takes away its purpose. But if going to do it the Maverick or the Ridgeline being not true trucks in the sense of having no frames are the best candidates. Well executed!

    • @microbreak
      @microbreak Před 3 měsíci

      Honestly seems the most practical, as long as it doesn’t impact payload capacity or towing capacity. The lower the truck, the easier it is to put things in the bed. Also improves mileage. Seems like win win win

    I really like this channel and this video especially, hope you guys do well. But I would give one piece of constructive feedback. This video just seems a little too CZcamsr try hard. I’m not saying that to be rude, but for example you don’t need to put sound effects with every bullet point. It gets a little tiresome.The pacing also just seems very rushed, trying to cram a bunch of quick information. I get you’re trying to avoid creating a long video, but I think a more relaxed pace would help some details stand out more.
    Again, don’t want to come across as nitpicking, but hope you guys are able to find a solid groove for the future. Thanks for putting up these types of videos, I think the concept is great.

    I’d buy the XL Hybrid and put a good snow tire on the front for winter. I hate anything but steel wheels because they all let me down due to failure around the valve stems. Otherwise, the hybrid XL is all I ever need.
    The reality is though for the money a standard ecoboost is all you can buy and having AWD is the only way to buy it if you’re going to sell it every 5 years. If I could get the hybrid, which I ordered twice and never got, I’d prefer it.

  • @ScottyBennitone
    @ScottyBennitone Před 3 měsíci +1

    Good video guys. I have an xl ecoboost 4k tow , tinted , cactus grey like yours. Have aftermarket wheels on, spoked mags, stock tires for summer. Also have the stock steelies painted matte copper with 30" at's for winter. It looks awesome either way. I have been eyeing up the eibach lowering springs for a little bit. Im only hesitant because Im not sure the winter tires would fit with the lowering springs.. I also would like to get a steeda strut bar, the handling is pretty good but i think it could be better.

    Hear me out…
    Instead choose neither. Lifted you lose the mpg’s, dropped you lose max payload correct? While it’s only 1.5k lbs that’s all I need for what I do and need it.
    So instead get a 1” kit to raise the front since the Mav naturally is lowered in the front. Get tires slightly bigger and you have yourself the Mav at everything it was built to be without sacrifice.
    That’s my plan anyways.

    I've never owned a lifted vehicle.. but I've driven multiple ones. They ALL sucked.. maybe if that's what you're going for (a horrible ride) then go for it. I also don't like the look at all. I have owned 1 lowered vehicle (2014 jeep patriot), which was lowered before I bought it. I only put about 5k miles on it before I ended up selling it. It looked awesome, but rode very stiff- of course. I'd just stick with stock suspension..

  • @twomonkeysayoyo

    Struggling. I've got a 24 FX4. My preteen daughter rides horses. I'm a sportscar guy. I imagine life happens from the back of a pickup (relax man, you're two tents). I'm thinking "lowering: because we often have to get stuff out of the bed and my daughter wants to get all her scratchy horse wear all over the side of the bed while she's up on her tip-toes getting her boots or saddle blanket or whatever. Also, I want it to be better in the turns. But I don't want to limit where I can go and lowering will do that. Some venues (and roads) around here are not good. I would hate for the whole "not a truck" contingent to see me get stuck because I lowered it.
