    I call them stories, not lies, and it’s just telling a patient what will make them happy.

    Ty! I needed this. My mom is full dementia and in her own reality, I feel bad to lie, my sister thinks not conforming into any non reality just makes her think she can keep doing it. Now that she's staying wc me, if I trek her truth she just gets mad and is full anxiety all day. I have to just talk about what she's talking about, like she thinks she married to Steve perry, the singer and talks to him daily, instead is saying oh mom, that's not true, I just say, oh cool, well how is he? And it makes her atc ease and not upset.
