Lamenters?! Legends say your brush will lose it´s hair over night after you finished the cursed marines. :)

@hobbywitholi nah, the brush will be fine. What's a good brush worth? $20-30? Lamenters don't get off that easy. Somehow, some way, on your way to a GT or game store to use your brand new painted marines, they will get destroyed...airport security opens case, they fall out and break....air crew gorilla handle your stuff and they break...you get in a car wreck and the only thing destroyed are these marines....you stop to grab a pint/food and protesters burn your car...you park. Then head inside to the game venue and some idiot driver almost hits you in the parking lot but in order to dodge the car you dropped your case, that gets ran over by the car
Terminators are one of those models that everyone wants a slice of. I remember back in the 90s, when I was a nipper, bugging the heck out of my old man to pick up a box of the OG metal terminators. Their arms kept dropping off, and their paint scheme was based described as 'blob', but man did I love them. Especially the curved lightening claws. On a side note: You're panel lining is coming along in leaps and bounds. I was pretty impressed with how steady your hands were painting the Captain's foot.
Ouch Lamenters, even the Black Dragons feel bad for them. Leviathan will continue and start my first company for the Silver Skulls.

I've free handed the Lamenters shoulder pad god knows how many times, but my current solution revolves around 3d printed pads with slight variation in the detail heights, similar to some of the sculpted ultramarines pads that come with the toilet seat on the plastic. It saves so much time and my sanity.

Love the Lamenters! And, of course, if you lose a game, their bad luck is the cause and definitely NOT anything you did or didn't do.
I'm not getting the Leviathan box though as there are no Aeldari in it.:)

That's why I love Salamanders. Green is scientifically the easiest colour for the human eye to distinguish shades and green paint has excellent coverage.
My Leviathan box is certainly not Codex Compliant, I have no real intention to paint the librarian blue. They're my custom chapter; that I learned later is basically just the Raptors with a touch more pizazz. Great work on the Lamenter, and I hope you can turn their luck around!
Imagine game rules for them: 1 or 2 on a D6 per turn = half move, no assault, -1 to shoot. (Big Sad, the Marines are overcome with the guilt and sadness felt by their Primarch having not saved the Emperor) "Brother.. I feel the Black Sadness overtaking me."
...and there is no upside 😆
I'm still deciding what to chapter to paint my leviathan minis as. I could add them to my Raptors, Carcharadons, Celestial Lions or do some Crimson fists.
I want to do them all 😅
Lt is a raptor, flamers are Carcharadons, Apothecary is celestial lion and the terminators are Crimson fists! Sorted 😉 (aware some of these work better than others 😆)

Hi, Do you dry it before applying another color? If yes, do you air dry it or do you use a blow dryer or something?
Hi there! Yes I tend to use a hairdryer between stages. Only place to be careful is when using washes as they can be blown around if not dry

I don't have Leviathan yet, but when I get it I'm sure it's going straight into my pile of shame until it eventually becomes Black Templars.
Was thinking of doing a yellow chapter myself, the Marines Malevolent. However, I already have like 3000 points of Astral Claws, so that's how I'm doing them. The silver and blue call was too strong.

I'm painting my Space Marines the same as I do all of mine; as trans femme catgirls. Likely to do some reposing and will be adding a smidge of height with greenstuff to give them a hint of hourglass waist.

Only Lamenter I've yet painted was an Imperial Knight Warden in their colors. Getting the yellow smooth took a lot of coats, and the checkerboards on the shoulder, tilt shield, and banner were some of the most tedious freehanding Ive yet done. 100% worth it tho.
