My grandma and I stumbled onto this show one Saturday evening when I was a tween. We instantly feel in love and it became our thing that we would get together every Saturday to watch it. Haven't seen or thought about this show in many, many years and it's even better than I remember. Gonna send this to my grandma cause I know she'll get a kick out of it!

It is really sad to think that so many of this wonderful cast have died. Only Dawn French and James Fleet are left. All the rest have passed away as of March 2022. Very sad, but their memories live on in these episodes.

Vicar of Dibley was one of the funniest, best TV comedies. When Peter Capaldi became the Doctor, I thought I had seen him somewhere before. I had watched the Vicar of Dibley DVDs a few months prior, and suddenly recognized him as Tristan, the BBC director. He was many years younger, with a lot of hair on the head.

In the charming village of Dibley, where laughter flows,
Geraldine graces us with her comedic prose.
With the Dibley council in tow, antics abound,
As we journey through moments, both silly and profound.
From Alice's innocence, so pure and sweet,
To Owen's clumsiness, tripping over his feet.
The wit of Jim, with his witty retorts,
And Frank's constant bickering, in shorts.
The Vicar of Dibley, with wisdom and grace,
Navigates the chaos with a smile on her face.
From awkward encounters to heartfelt chats,
Each moment in Dibley, a treasure to catch.
As we watch the funniest moments unfold,
In Series 1 of the tale we're told,
The laughter echoes through the quaint village square,
As Dibley's charm fills the air.
So here's to the joy of Geraldine and crew,
In Dibley's world, where dreams come true.

As we journey through Dibley, forevermore.

But when the lead started getting far too preachy in her personal life and onscreen as well and somewhat condescending in her manner - there’s a difference between funny but observant to just outright lecturing.
