To do what? I mean, I don’t care since I’m not a fan (of United) but it’s maybe time to reflect, get some perspective and set some goals, perhaps? If the objective is to challenge for the EPL, well good luck with that. Even with full squad healthy as a horse for full season, no chance in hell. Same with Arsenal. So you could give Ten Hag that …too much dead wood on the team, not enough quality in the starting 11 to challenge City, Arsenal or even Liverpool.
Next objective has to be European cup football, especially UCL. Without Champions League, no chance getting top players in. And since United are a hot mess for a long time now, even the name and the legacy of the club is starting to lose its former pull. I’m sorry but Aston Villa finishing at 4th place is a damning reality check for Ten Hag, Pochettino and Postecoglou. And don’t give me that “Ollie Watkins on fire/Premier League is tough” crap. Aston Villa got trashed 6:2 on aggregate by Olympiacos Piraeus in Mickey Mouse European cup so…surely the quality is there…cough, cough.
And the last but not the least one has to be mentality and the way a team of Manchester United magnitude and heritage should carry themselves. I mean it was bad for a long time but it’s under Ten Hag they’re soft as warm dog crap, only capable of some resistance and resilience on a random basis. I don’t think Manchester United’s overall credit has been worse since the inception of EPL.
So, again, what exactly should Ten Hag stay on for?
I’d reckon that with INEOS taking over sporting direction of the club and with European Championship coming up (more time to make a change and hatch a transfer plan since players don’t like moving before major tournaments), it’s the perfect time to make a change.

Erik Ten Hag downfall started with amateur handling of Cristiano Ronaldo, David De Gea, Sancho and others. He demonstrated he doesn’t possess the top player management expertise. He disrespected our club legend and best striker Ronaldo and the way he treated De Gea is beyond embarrassing. His tactical choices are poor and his coaching skills are nowhere good to manage a big club. He got all the players he wanted except De Jong. Every player he brought in is either a flop or injured all the time. The injuries are the only excuse he’s been grabbing on this season. It is not like you have Ronaldinho and Maldini injured but Marital and Malacia. If your whole team depends on Lisandro Martinez then you should not be coaching a premier league club. Yet he comes to the press conferences and insults everyone’s intelligence by saying we played good when everyone knows that’s not true. Do you really think clubs like Madrid, City or Bayern would stick this long with someone like Erik Ten Hag and all the nonsense he produces? Just sack him already and move on. This is the worst United team since Fergie left. Embarrassing.

Ten Hag would thrive at stable and ambitious clubs like City and Bayern. Not even Pep or Ancelotti will give Utd the success they dream of. The club and its fans needs to accept that they’ve been performing below average since 2013. 11 years of failure. Not one single manager post Fergie with a title nor a champions league trophy. On DDG, we all have to admit Onana is a big flop but let's not pretend we didnt have fans singing #DDGout cause of his passing. Also, we all thought Onana would be box office after that inter vs city final.
Some of Ten Hags signings have been desperate and he could take fault for that but we cannot judge fairly this season and I believe he is a good coach. Let him work under a good structure with a fit squad then we can tell. Besides, we need so many players out and if we sack him we will be running down the same tunnel again.

SAF had the same ups and downs at the beginning. If I trusted the lot, playing for United nowadays, I might have supported the idea for a new manager. But I don't trust the lot. The Sanchos, Rashfords ... None of them who played for Ralph. They have proved they are easily injured and will throw any manager under the bus. SAF was backed in his downs and was given time to renovate the whole team. And compared to this lot now I actually adored many of the 80s players he sold. Whiteside, Strachan, Stapleton, Murren, Olsen, Albiston. But as it turned out. They weren't good enough. First, sell the lot and then question this manager.

It depends on what these players are motivated on. If they are here for the big money contract, of course they won't deliver. If that's what they value and worshipped then it will destroyed them. There is no way we should get behind these players. They are getting paid more than enough to motivate themselves. Just by the size of this club is enough and to wear the number of players who wore these numbers before them should be more than enough.
