when Darryl went down the stairs on that box makes me like him even more. he is a genuine fun guy. I can see why Ryan is friends with him. Good Friends are hard to come by...
Yea . Def a lot of hate towards him this season. But ppl need to see that he’s more than just a worker . No excuse for his no shows. But obviously they go way back
Daryl seems like a great guy, I think Ryan just makes fun of him a lot to make himself feel better. Same with jr, Ryan must have some really low self esteem to make fun of him the way he does.
@@charlies2561 no it’s called they really good friends hint the reason he has always given him multiple chances sometimes u gotta let homies go so they can lock it in and not be bs Ryan doesn’t wake up and think oh lemme go bully Daryl and jr
I love that cut from you and Darryl saying that you'd get that machine together in no time because it's easy and you're smart to immediately saying the instructions are hard to follow and dropping parts inside the machine 😂 That is just so relatable it hurts.
Don’t tell everyone you’re on a diet just do it. Let the results speak. I always found if I spoke to soon I end up failing. Never let them know your next move!! Love your content!
Really glad Darryl sr is back. I know he let Ryan down last year but I think he was really going through some tough times. He seems to be more upbeat and jovial. Hopefully he keeps it up
Rain Days stink for us concrete guys, however us owners its a time to catch up on the stuff that you have been putting off in order to get concrete poured. keep up the awesome work guys. love the channel and attitude of the channel!
@@VictoryOutdoorServices Son, you do not go to home depot for straight form lumber, or for any decent lumber. I'm surprised that bit of wisdom isn't in the book of proverbs.
Hey Mom! Look I am famous. Your awesome man. You our one of my favorite customers. I was on point with my joke that day 😂🤣😂I love watching your videos to see the store and the concrete work you guys do. I am gonna call you when I get a house for sure!
Hey Ryan. Just wanted to drop a comment about your channels, business, and crew. I’ve owned a contracting company for over 30 years and spent 20+ of them working with my crews daily. I’ve binge watched every one of your vids and I think the reason is the genuine relatability of the people rather than the work. It’s made me realize just how much I enjoyed the interplay of working with a “team” in the construction trades.
Ryan I have to tell ya, I could watch any video you post. Your huge heart mixed with positivity, sprinkling in a little sarcasm here and there make me wish there were tons more just like you. Stay blessed stay positive and stay humble!
Great job Ryan it's nice to be able to watch content that's wholesome and not filled with filth, it's hard to find that these days especially being a Christian.. keep up the good job with your health I understand the challenge being 6"4 and 3** pounds myself lol ..I will be praying for victory style and family ...cool to see you and Darryl I hope he keeps it up
Hey you should check out the Echo power heads they got a broom attachment they work real good. Thanks for the great content you put out I've been watching since the very beginning.
Anyone else just find this channel and rewatching the older videos to catch up? It's kind of like a show, I've never done concrete work either. I really like these videos though.
You'll get it done Ryan! Remember its not always what the scale says but what you do in scale to others. I doubt the grass has ever grown under your feet with the work ethic you have. For the first 42 years of my life I could easily do 2-3 times more than most anyone I ever encountered and met very very few who could match me in a 10 hour day. I always laugh at people who say "I'm in better shape now than my 20's and 30's....what a poor excuse they must have been. I'm 56 and still out work the young bucks. Good luck with the diet but you are already awesome. Be safe. Carry on!
Hey Ryan I’m a big fan ! I’ve been doing Concrete for 20 years myself but I’m also a huge bass fisherman I tournament fish all over the country. Nice rig you got there I would suggest getting an Ultrex best trolling motor on the market GPS , hit the button it’ll hold you right in place no matter how bad the wind is!!!
My dad always said Menards has specialty “around the corner boards”. Look similar to the garbage you were looking at. Keep us updated on what your doing for your diet. I’m going to do it with you. You can keep me motivated.
I've always wondered how you handle price changes...How often do you evaluate your pricing? I'm sure price changes as the cost of goods changes, but how do you handle inflation increase, and the increasing cost of doing business (i.e taxes, insurance, unemployment, etc..). I sell and install standby generators, I find it difficult to judge how my pricing stacks up against my competition. I used to have a good idea, not these days!
Diets, I hear ya. I started a diet a few days ago. Oatmeal and cottage cheese for breakfast with either a store bought or homemade protein shake. I still eat a small/medium homemade sandwich for lunch but instead of chips or something I eat nuts. Dinner is something healthy, chicken salad, or if we go out I order something healthy. I agree about getting hungry I’m between meals. That’s tough. I might have to try the coffee and cream, it’s already 100°F here I’m Bullhead City Arizona though so coffee doesn’t sound to good anymore. As far as exercise I really enjoy walking through the desert and I have found push-ups are a great work out. I’m 6’1” and 245lbs which is the heaviest I’ve ever been. I’d like to get down to 200lbs. Good luck and keep up the good work.
I know this is going to be a trivial comment about this video... when you asked your daughter Joanna how her day was and if she learned anything.... she said fine and yes.... with my three kids even through college they always said they never learned anything😅. I I must say they are all successful though.. thanks for the great video as always
Cnc machinist here, I just had to say happy goodbye to my tooling guy. Small, local company, he sold it, he’s gonna go work at a local machine shop for a another couple of years and retire out under them. Beyond bummed to lose that connection in my business, not only endlessly helpful when I didn’t know where to look but also a friend to chat about things not many understood.

As a former home Depot employee they are actively the worst place to get lumber. They buy what is mostly cheap left overs from lumber yards and then leave it outdoors where it can warp and you end up with 1 in 40 boards being straight.
