What really amazes me is how you know which filters do what and what you need to do to get that effect. It's one thing to know how it works. But it's another thing entirely to figure out how each one of them stacks up together to make the end picture look the way you want.

Some early versions of PS don't have the oil paint filter. If your laptop has the full version of Photoshop, Adobe place this filter in different locations. Go to my channel and click the magnifying glass icon (next to “About”). Type in "oil paint".

I'd love to get a tutorial for recreating the look of Twilight Creations's Zombies!!! cards, since they sell an entire expansion for that game that is nothing but blank cards and tile maps for you to create your own additions/expansions. Until then, this tutorial approaches that look, give/take an effect or 2.

Didn't quite work the way I thought it would (at least for me). When I tried it, the background went well and the logo looked amazing but the main character looked like a weird cartoon that's nowhere close to what the result in this video was. Can anyone help me to suggest what I am doing wrong.

@@BLTV_Photoshop ps cs6 13.1.2 x64. There is an oil paint setting on filter but there isn't on stylize. What is the difference between of two? and thank you very much to understand ps basically

What happens if the Oil Paint is greyed out?
go to Image > Mode > RGB color, 8 bits/Channel
