I'll admit it... I cried when the guy started announcing the Kings and Queens of Narnia. So many memories!! I've never actually seen a live performance of this soundtrack, which is such a shame cause for all the bad rap the sequels get, this movie's soundtrack was something majestic, magical, and beautiful.

There was an origin story of how narnia was created, it involved a ring of power that was owned by a wizard, the nephew of the wizard and the girl next door. Aslan is the first being that was created, it involved a space and time, pocket dimension and what not. It was like Harry potter met alice in wonderland.

"Narnia...the land beyond the wardrobe door, a secret place frozen in eternal winter, a magical country waiting to be set free.
Lucy is the first to find the secret of the wardrobe in the professor's mysterious old house. At first her brothers and sister don't believe her when she tells of her visit to the land of Narnia. But soon Edmund, then Peter and Susan step through the wardrobe themselves. In Narnia they find a country buried under the evil enchantment of the White Witch."
"To the glistening eastern sea, I give you Queen Lucy the Valiant. To the great western woods, King Edmund the Just. To the radiant southern sun, Queen Susan the Gentle. And to the clear northern skies, I give you King Peter the Magnificent. Once a king or queen of Narnia, always a king or queen of Narnia. May your wisdom grace us until the stars rain down from the heavens."

I didn't know there'd been a movie until last year. Safe to say that the soundtrack in my head while reading it was not nearly as grand.

I only wish they'd gotten around to doing all 7 books. I am very grateful that they got three movies done and that they were (in my opinion) so much better than the BBC miniseries.

Recuerdo que este soundtrack lo escuchaba a todas parte en mi mp3 XD. The Chronicles of Narnia. Mi infancia resumida, Ya han pasado 15 años. Debo decir una de las mejores peliculas y score que debo haber visto y escuchado. Gran trabajo Harry Gregson-Williams

The narrator is David Bateson. He is mainly known for being the voice of Agent 47 in the Danish produced game series Hitman ... He was born in South Africa but has lived permanently in Denmark since 1992, working as an actor and narrator in lots of Danish TV series and movies, besides his work as Agent 47. So the DR1 (and National) Symphony Orchestra, which is the Danish equivalent to the English BBC1 Symphony Orchestra, also make use of him and his skills as narrator, like in this case.
