Mercedes Benz W202 C280 Windshield Wiper Switch Repair

Suddenly my windshield wiper went nuts...it would turm on by itself...had to do some digging...found the problem and the fix.
As usual it was a very simple problem.

Thank you AndyP. My problem is a little different, wipers work on intermittently but not when turning them on. At least with this video I have a place to start. Thanks again for the video....

Thank you sir for uploading this valuable video on CZcams. My wiper's intermittent doesn't seem to work while the second and third speed is ok. Perhaps later I may try your fix and hope I don't break anything. 😊😊😊❤

Thanks for the video. The wiper switch on my 2003 C320 has been erratic recently. After seeing your video I have just now prized off the end but, sadly, the inside was quite different to yours. No big spring and contacts on the end, and not possible to access the rotating contacts. Sprayed some switch cleaner in and waggled things about, but not really helped much I am afraid. Also a real fiddle to re-assemble! Thanks anyway.

I'll try this because I have a Mercedes Benz C230 and my windshield wipers Park halfway.
I've already taken apart the windshield wiper motor and clean the contacts and pushed the springs down a little bit and it still Parks halfway. And also, my windshield wipers don't work on intermediate only on the first speed and when I turn it off it's still parked halfway.
I hope this works
UPDATE: I realized I have a w203 (2005)and I can't pop it off

Mine only work when I put my car high beams on and push the button in which will spray the fluid. That’s the only time it’ll work for me idk what’s really wrong. I was thinking maybe my rain sensor

First check where the electrical problem is, maybe you need to replace combination switches unit.
