Yeah but they're also paying for him to keep making videos too. Like the whole point of patreon is to make somewhat of a profit so that it makes it worthwhile to post videos. Like they are also helping pay for his labor.
he could sell them for over 200 and make more money, yet he gives them to subscribers for 149 and you give the guy crap about it. The patreon membership is a good deal if you plan on buying boxes anyways. On top of that he creates hours of entertainment and info that you can watch for free. Why not just be cool and thankful?

Rudy was going to buy a few boxes of magic the gathering: kaladesh but was unhappy with the direction taken by the company that designed the product. He made a video that displayed more money then I have ever seen in my life at one time, even in the movies and jammed into this box. He wrote kaladesh intentions, with intentions crossed out and written underneath was the word inventions... He later revealed a scheme so grand and cunning it left no doubt in my mind of his affiliations with a satanic cabal of business graduates. After elaborating in great detail his machinations, I was left shocked, stunned, my innocence evaporated. He laughed maniacally lost in a vision where years later he would go on to purchase every last kaladesh invention for "#pennysonthedollar". You see, some men just want to see the world burn and that 'box' is the embodiment of such a manifesto.

He is upset with inventions and masterpiece and priceless treasures being in every magic set for now on and thus refuses to invest in those products until they changed. He took his money and put it on a box for the future to buy all the singles when they tank in prices after a year.

I hope you see this Rudy: everytime you'd say say something along the lines of, "that's just business" in relation to finance, it'd rub me the the wrong way & subsequently I'd think a little less of you. Man... i remember back i think it was november, it was the first and so far the only time ive ever bought magic off you Rudy, just because i love commander. I started supporting you all they way back in august because i thought you were hilarious. I tend to only buy singles so the boxes never really were something i set out to get.
but man... as much as i appreciate being offered the 149.99 a box for MM17, i cant help but be sad that i missed it. The one day my phone was OOC, i was at school and i wasn't able to buy a box. Oh well, maybe next time!

Also Rudy I work in public health in Australia. The conditions are getting crappier but sometimes it gets better. Re: loyalty we cant fire anyone hardly ever. So we have the reverse problem of having deadwood for years. Many people stay within the hospital system their whole career, some even at one hospital. Not saying its typical, just saying there are some companies and organisations who appreciate loyalty.
Day one patreon sub here. Been watching since around 4000 subscribers. Was there for the fireworks and was lonely when you had your channel taken away. When you first opened up patreon, I was there to support and have only ever bought boxes once (origins). However, selling boxes at 199.99 is actually more profitable for him than going through eBay after fees.
Assuming 220 on eBay he would be getting 191.27 per box after fees. (eBay also often offers buyers 10% back in eBucks for purchases)

Not hating on his channel or his patron setup, just stating the reality of the good deal offered. eBay has plenty of money though, probably better to support creepy Rudy!
