  • Finally getting the rear diff done, rebuilding it with fresh bearings and making it ready to rip! along with changing the gear ratio and welding the diff the cobra irs is going to be a monster. Along with opening the flood gates for me to get more things done expect a lot of progress in the future.

      yeah I unfortunately went through a few issues and now rebuild them on the regular for friends. I learn a little more every time.

    For anyone doing this the Ford manual states DO NOT use a impact gun to tighten the pinion bolt.

      states it but yet my rear is together just fine, the rotational resistance is well within spec. I find it almost impossible to get the washer to crush with just torque wrench. ps ive done like 3 other diffs since this the same way and they all are still going strong!
