Do you need a Torque Converter or any other Engine & Transmission Core parts?

So it doesn’t look like there’s really all that much to retuning a converter such as the th-350,400.how much difference is there in the 10” and 11” say 3000 stall and how much can you get from an 11”?

Hi im from Australia a reputable transmission compAny in Australia rebuilt my Mazda cx9 torque converter and overhauled the transmission due to shuddering problem.
I’ve had the car for a few weeks and it’s shuddering on longer drives in traffic and uphill. Not as bad as before but slowly getting worse. The company said this is normal while the rebuilt torque converter runs in.

How accurately can the TC be balanced without holding the rotating parts inside? Are the moving parts inside balanced individually since they rotate separately from the outer shell of the TC? Thank you for the video.... The equipment looks useful.

The internal parts are balanced from the factory so taking it apart won't affect balance . The reason the tc shell needs balancing is because it was cut apart and welded back together ,besides the fluid pumping through the converter is a excellent harmonic damper .for the internal parts also .

We use a vertical balancer for our converters, it holds the stator, stator tube, and on to the turbine with a modified input shafts and gives a real world application balance.

Internal parts can be balanced alone if you feel the need then then the correct tranny trout shaft clan be inserted along with compressed air to keep the clutch from locking up and just the housing can be balanced

Hey how you doing. I watch your video and i was able to rebuilt my tranny successfully. Great video to learn from.. It been about 4 years now since i rebuilt it..for the past 6 months been sitting cuz i have to do a timing job..couple days now i keep getting code 48 for clutch lock up too much slip....i drop the fluid no metal no smell. But i do hear the tranny making a lil noise like torque converter...how should i test the converter or what should i be looking for...it drive good when its warm but 1st thru 2 gear it feel its struggling...any idea please

Convincing, thanks for sharing! Now, who is using your setup? I got $$ for a 9/11 rebuild, who do I send it too ;-). Nothing on your web site, yet. Good luck, do hope your brand name, and products get out there where they belong!
