Last time I watched this OVA I was in the 6th grade. I'm a high school graduate now. It's been so long, I finally found this video.

Sasuke fought Itachi who possesses the Mangekyo Sharingan and Naruto fought Nagato who possesses the Rinnegan then Obito possessing both, talk about foreshadowing moments. Two of Obito's trusted subordinates defeated by two rivals only to end up fighting him. Wow.

Nah I think you’re looking too much into it. But, it isn’t a stretch to say that both of their character defining moments was when they fought akatsuki members from their own clan.
Itachi wasn't a trusted subordinate to Obito, Itachi didn't trust that man at all

@@chickennoodle2559I didn't refer trusted subordinate in terms of trust but those with immense strength which is why Obito considered Nagato and Itachi as the strongest out of all of Akatsuki members.
I just realized... Naruto and sasuke both fought the akatsuki members who were a part of their clan.. Sasuke fought uchiha itachi and naruto fought uzumaki nagato.

kouthao difference is Naruto and Nagato aren't brothers but then again makes me wonder if the Ame Orphans came to Konoha with Jiraiya would Nagato become an older brother figure to Kushina and an uncle figure to Naruto only to join the Akatsuki after a fake mission in the Hidden Rain gave to the Ame orphans by Danzo which resulted in Yahiko's death. Imagine what Naruto would say to Sasuke saying he doesn't know what it's like to have a family and lose em. Betcha Naruto would give Sasuke a dose of reality telling him about his uncles Nagato and Yahiko and aunt Konan.

This is such a masterpiece. I remember when it first came out long before we were even near the finale of the story. Still evokes such chills and deep emotion. Naruto is forever iconic art.

These two kids have been through so much together. They raised each-other and shaped each-other into the people they are today. It’s incredible how an anime can depict this with such an intricate and detailed story, while maintaining badass fight scenes.

There's also the circumstances of both which raised both. Sasuke's circumstances led him to be problemed & needing rescue. Naruto is the person who held out and it worked out bc it's a shonen anime but wonderful nonetheless.

I still love this "version of the story" for them over the anime one... This is so much better than the fight after the kage summit, so more simple, strong and nostalgic!! And the expression on Sakura and Kakashi faces with Naruto supposedly dead are perfect!

oh no...the nostalgia omg. It's almost like a routine by now to watch this after a long while just to get that nostalgic heart-clenching, heart-wrenching feeling. I've grown up with Naruto and I was there each time a new episode came out...that feeling of coming back after school just to catch a new episode...
How times have changed and how I've grown up since I've first watched this video. I still have the original from so many years ago somewhere. It's like a national treasure that I'll always hold precious, with the way it shaped and defined my childhood. Each time I watch this, I'm reminded of how time flies and I should enjoy what I have while I have them...
It's sad that I will never have the same level of attachment to Boruto and I honestly wished it never even existed lol. Good for people who can enjoy it...but it feels like an insult to the OG characters to me, so I just can't watch it.
I honestly feel the Naruto franchise should have ended with Naruto and Sasuke fighting each other but with a really heart-wrenching, sad ending (or the same ending but without the forced romance) INSTEAD of the bullshit fanservice (aka Burrito)...Burrito feels like a cashgrab instead of a successor to a series which many adore.
Anyway, enough ranting, I really wish yt doesn't take this one down and we have it for even many more years to come back to :D

This OVA right here was a taste of Naruto and Sasuke's final battle back when the manga was still in the Five Kage Summit Arc and is why the manga battle was so disappointing to me. The anime final battle more than made up for it, though.

I come back and watch this every so often and it still holds up as a masterpiece of an OVA. So much incredible emotion and storytelling packed into 5 minutes with one of the best Aqua Timez songs, which is really saying something. Freaking fantastic.
Seeing Sasuke at the end is so sad, it’s like there is no more a human side to him and I’m so happy it didn’t end like that.
I remember I was Soo overwhelmed with emotion watching this OVA and when Mayonaka no Orchestra kicked in I could barely contain my emotions for this show, and for Naruto and Sasuke.....
I was in absolute love with this. And then Sasuke at the end, blood dripping down his face! with Itachi's Mangekyo Sharingan looked sooo cool and sinister!!! I loved this Sasuke the most!!!!
I always liked that the fight at 2:52 is one of the rare times where it doesn't just feel like a choreo, but actually like the characters are going for the kill with each hit.
This is one of the best OVA AMV’s of all time. So memorable, and being able to compare it to the actual final battle between sasuke and naruto is pretty crazy

Honestly that would have been absolutely amazing, and then after this battle instead of all the reanimations the final battles are with Sasuke, Obito and Kabuto to keep it simple yet far more meaningful. (Just an idea though).

Man to this day I still don't know what that baby's cry represents. This clip really makes me feel Kishi had a slightly different idea back then for the ending, one I think I would have loved, not too bash.

Its been 4 years since last time i heard this i remember being suicidal and this helping me when i would go on walks. Now i graduated highscool going to university and this reminds me of how far ive come. I love naruto and sasuke. Best anime to me even though the plot couldve been better written sometimes. Animes like hunter and fmab and ippo are so much better written but still arent my favorite animes. Naruto is my fav because of how much it helped me in my life
