Thank you for 25,000+! Please, watch this video in HD, thank you. This is not exactly what I wanted to deliver to you all, but I just couldn't wait for a new computer anymore. So I tried to edit on the device I currently have in my possession and let me tell you... it was pain. Especially the rendering which took 8 hours, but at least the laptop didn't give up. (Props to you, buddy.) Still though, I couldn't really edit something out of the new footage, because that would require episode converting and nope, can't do that now. So, limited number of eps + shitty computer + a few sleepless nights + a lot of passion = this video.
I have been wanting to make it ever since I heard this song for the first time. I have never made a proper AMV capturing Itachi, his life story and his brotherhood with Sasuke, so I thought why not. Actually, when I think about it, if I had a better computer, I wouldn't probably make this more complicated. I think that, in this case, less is certainly more. The main point of this video is to capture Itachi's pain and point of view.
This video is dedicated to mightuchaaaan, whom I dearly respect as an editor + I really enjoy having her in my life (even though, it's rather occassionaly xD). My heart is still melting from the InoSaku video you made for me. Here you have Itachi from me as a reward *pats your head*.

Finding the truth about Itachi was the most shocking thing that happened to me since I ever watched anime.
+God-Emperor of Mankind Itachi saved saskue from orocimaru and also from madra with his amaterasu. Itachi would never enslave saskue because he loves him too much. The only corrupt thing in the government is the foundation(Danzo) and its been taken care of already.

God-Emperor of Mankind itachi killed his clan to stop war from breaking. he lived through it already and he had to choose between either his clan or the village. itachi knew he would walk a dark road for the rest of his life but he did it anyways for his lil brother and the village. he joined the akatsuki to spy on them but he had blend in so they wouldn't suspect. he hid all the truth from Sasuke cuz he wanted him to live the life he couldn't. As far as I've seen he only killed his clan, his mission im the akatsuki was to capture them and alive. Itachi was the hero of Konoha before Naruto was. he sacrificed everything and hid all his tracks for Sasuke and the village

Not a hater but let me say something. Itachi was indeed trying. Don't get me wrong, he's very strong. But his strength it's his persona, not physical strength. Itachi thinks like a hokage when is fighting. That's why he won almost every fight 'without trying'.

In Naruto, unlike our world, things aren't that simple, democracy practically doesn't exist. They feed on death and blood, and as a ninja clan, the Uchiha raised itachi this way - to be a killer. That might be so, but he still loved Sasuke.
Sasuke was young and innocent, he didn't see death. He didn't go to a battlefield and see mangled corpses. He didn't get his innocence destroyed before he had his chance of experiencing his childhood. Itachi, however, did. He saw the real world of Naruto when he was young, and that made him strong - he got his training early, etc. So, when Itachi recieved news of the coup, I think he wanted to preserve Sasuke's innocence and not tell him, which he later regretted because he believed that Sasuke could have saved them. But he didn't, so he had to kill the clan.
By doing so, however, he knew that he will destroy Sasuke's innocence. At that point, he probably knew that he was going to be seen as the villain, but Sasuke wasn't good enough to defeat him, so he had to give him motivation. Namely, making Sasuke hate him. And it worked. Monsters are strong, so turning Sasuke into a monster made him strong.
So he destroyed Sasuke's innocence, and made him motivated to kill Itachi.
Now you might be wondering why Itachi didn't say stuff like 'protect your precious people from me because you love them'. That's because Sasuke didn't have friends outside of the clan. Naruto didn't count, his fangirls didn't. And if he threatened to kill the village as well it was more likely that Sasuke didn't care, since the Uchiha was everything to Sasuke. So, after love, hatred and revenge was the next best fuel for power.
Yes, he did all of that. He killed innocent lives. But don't forget that as an Akatsuki, he would have to obey the Leader's orders, or it'll be suspicious. If any of the Akatsuki, perhaps minus Kisame, found out about his spying, he would be turned over to Pein and get killed. That meant that Konoha will have no more information about the Akatsuki and will be vulnerable to attacks by the Akatsuki that might happen after his death. And thus, he had to obey the Akatsuki's orders and kill innocent lives, because that was what the Akatsuki did.
The 4th Shinobi War is the same as the Akatsuki cause it was started by it.

He ' brutally tortured, beat into a coma, lied, manipulated and betrayed his own brother and turned Sasuke into a monster'. Well, I explained some, but not everything.
In the world of Naruto, they thrive on bloodshed, like I said. So, the more traumatic the event a shinobi goes through, the more likely the person is going to be stronger. Just look at Naruto, after his loneliness. So, it was possible that he wanted Sasuke to go through more to make him stronger.
And then Sasuke, can kill Itachi, and since Itachi was a villain, Sasuke will be hailed as a hero. We know that part.
Right. I know Itachi might have had better options than to get Sasuke to hate him, but remember: he has the sickness thingy. Maybe his mind was in a mess because of it. Shock, or something. Maybe he just wanted to die at Sasuke's hands, looking at him and stuff. Either way, I don't have the answers and you can go ask Kishimoto.
I just don't like you parading around, acting like your opinion should be the world's. It's disrespectful and insulting to people who actually sees Itachi's intentions and emotions and show empathy to him. So, shut up. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, and you shouldn't stamp all over other's when they did nothing to destroy yours.

2. I actually half agree with you on this. Itachi did ruin sasuke's childhood by taking away his entire clan from him. But it was either that or death. Sasuke was always sane. Torturing him was necessary as kid as sasuke would've never believed that his caring brother( he was a caring brother at that point of time) would've massacred the entire clan. Knowing sasuke's age and his thoughts about his brother would've made him find a loophole or an ulterior objective to itachi's actions. If sasuke was to be itachi's brainwashed super computer then why did he make him develop hatred for him. If you want a killing machine then you don't set it against yourself. I'd rather have my younger brother have a f****d up childhood than dying as it provides a chance to have a better life in the future.

When I first saw Itachi I hated him alot. He had such a cold personality plus he killed his entire clan and tried to kill his own brother. But when I actually got to know the truth, I felt so bad that I cried for 20 mins straight. Especially for the reason that I despised him so much and he turned out to be someone even greater than a hero. I have never ever been so emotional in my life before. Itachi Uchiha has to be one of the most powerful and kindest anime characters ever created. All my respect goes to him. Salute! Now I watched this tribute video, I'm again crying.

He loved the village, and his clan, and his family, and most of all his brother. The Uchiha were going to be killed anyway, So he did everything to save as much as he could. And live happily ever after in the village they both loved... that said, if you were in Itachi's shoes you would have been crying and pleading for peace which was not going to happen and get double the victims and probably eternal fear and hate towards the Uchiha.

When I was watching the shippuden series I was hype to see the brawl between the Uchiha sibling. Like when Sasuke and Itachi was only battling with their genjutsu's that was already great. then hey went outside to use more flashy jutsu's I was so trilled watching every scene. the fight ended the bitchy wall won. Tobi/obito became a story teller. It made me cry when I heard itachi's legend. like the... you guys get me right?!

Itachi truly was a man who the world only saw the likes of every thousand years or so. He was kind, pure-hearted, and loving and yet killed his clan, took the title of 'traitor', and left the village to protect it. Itachi was the definition of selflessness, giving up his childhood, any chance at happiness, and eventually his life for the sake of those he considered precious to him.
A true shinobi is willing to protect their home from the shadows, without recognition or fame, and die for the place they love so much. Itachi was the greatest character in Naruto. Giving up absolutely everything for the sake of his village -
and he still died with a smile on his face.

God-Emperor of Mankind Itachi does that only to make Sasuke stronger........(We have heard many times in the series itself that pain makes you stronger and). Also, Itachi loved Sasuke more than anyone which is why he couldn't kill him in the first place. If you don not know the complete story do not read further(*spoilers*).....Itachi killed the Uchiha clan to stop their coup de tat......and Itachi made the third Hokage promise that he would look after Sasuke while he was gone.....He even made a deal with Madara(here, Tobi)....so that he would help him kill the uchihas but not lay a finger on Sasuke!.....I don't know about you but I think that shows, he loves Sauke the most even if he knew he was going to die soon (itachi has a terminal disease)
